If it’s ego you think gaon has then either people don’t even understand the script or it’s clear that the scriptwriter failed terribly in conveying who gaon is as a person and the writer’s thinking lol

Yumi wasn’t the most likable character in S1 but at least she was considerate to Woong. Yes she overreacted in some but Woong also did some pretty bad things (action wise). Yumi in S2 was insufferable. She was such a hypocrite. After she turned down Babi and he was seen with his ex, she literally was rude and gave him so much attitude. Now she ran off during Christmas Eve because she is worried Woong waiting and will catch a cold? I have seen people saying she needed closure some non senses like that. You don’t get a closure this way. You could have tell him you will not go, and we can meet at a different date and time, don’t wait for me, I am with my current boyfriend. That’s how you show respect to your current partner.

And then she met Woong at the hospital and having him in her heart ranking, missing him, trying to buy him clothes, always meeting up with her ex who’s actively pursuing her, laughed when her ex bad mouthed Babi, went to meet him when she’s sick and turned down Babi? And then Babi had some feelings during long distance but he not only never acted upon it but actively trying to make sure he doesn’t continue? Then Babi’s the jerk?

Not to mention Woong who still thinks Yumi would have not broken up with him if he was rich, so that’s what he thinks Yumi as a person is? Pursuing Babi’s girlfriend (action) and he is saying Babi who swayed a bit is the bad guy? Lol

Now Yumi might be a terrible self centered hypocrite girlfriend, she isn’t even a responsible writer. I mean, who as a writer would feel touched if she learns that the comments and her success were all faked? I would be so pissed and felt discredited for my skills. And I would literally feel like a fool. And somehow Woong’s actions were rewarded and the person who truly supported her, saw her potentials even before she does, who understands and rooted for her even when she forgot about their anniversary and always so busy, needed to be reminded to get credited during her pathetic award ceremony? (Her writer cell didn’t even finish the book it was other cells who did it for her)

I think people are truly missing out the most important thing, just because Yumi’s cells didn’t have an earthquake, what Yumi did was way worst than Babi. Woong to this date still think Yumi will love him if he had money. That’s what he thinks of her. Does he even know who Yumi as a person? He lied to Yumi about his ex-crush, disrespectful towards Babi, pursuing someone else’s girlfriend? Buying the books and writing reviews are also so disrespectful for Yumi as a writer and discredit her skills.

I hate shows like this that make people roof for Yumi and Woong when they are so toxic and self centered yet glorified their actions as self love and “not swayed”. All their actions are swayed but just because the original material pinned Babi as the “swayed” one, suddenly he’s the bad guy and the other twos are saints.

I really don’t like how writers creating this kind of toxic views and making viewers believe this is the right moral value. You don’t have to like Babi as a character, but there’s no way to justify what Yumi and Woong did that’s way worst than Babi.

I am really enjoying the drama I wanted something really light and easy but not brainless and doesn’t make sense and this was it!

I can’t wait to see how both leads grow and find a happy medium! So far the character I don’t like the most is the brag sister 😂 but she still has some likable qualities and would also love to see how she grows as well! Even FL’s best friend’s married but not satisfied story seems like a good fun to explore!

Also the kids are all so unlikable and the only one that I liked died first like wtf lol

The original work for the witch is actually way more praised and appreciated than Yumi cells as both were webtoons 😅 it’s known for its super well thought out flow, tight logic and storytelling. Whereas Yumi cells actually got a lot of criticism especially starting from mid point to ending. The witch is like a respected work among webtoon world that many have seen (the author is literally seen as the father of Korean webtoons) whereas YC is a popular romcom.

I actually looked forward to this cos of the premises. But I have to say the directing is off, the script and progression is also awkward in a way, and I do feel like the actors and actresses are casted not necessarily best suited for the roles. I like the actors and actresses but they have had better fitting roles before.

The first two episodes were average - many flaws but I really liked the storyline and the FL being the smart one to solve cases so I will keep watching. But I truly do feel like most of the roles aren’t finding the best fitting match and ML’s personality will surely need to grow on me (and skill sets….)

Oh I am loving this drama soooooo damn much. It’s been awhile since I love a drama opening week this much. This is obviously not your typical kdrama romcom. It goes to places that are more matured and discuss more adult real life situations. I don’t find this boring at all. All the topics are so interesting and it’s fun to see the different aspects. If he does cheat, I would like to see what happened and how they resolved. If he didn’t cheat, I am loving the fact that I can’t tell what’s on his mind so far. Either way, that’s part of actual adult marriages. I have seen many of my friends made it out stronger after one side cheated, also saw many of my friends divorced and never want to talk to each other. Married couples aren’t fantasy where you will forever be loyal to a person. That’s just how it is, it’s entirely up to the couple to decide how to move forward. As this drama has been going very realistic - I am excited to see where it leads our main couple.

To me, I love the first two episodes and it’s been so fun for me! Can’t wait for the second week!

Jisoo is just an independent smart woman who knows what’s the best for her and cool that way. Can’t blame people who have already moved on why they move on. I like all of the guests even if they aren’t perfect.

Honestly I don’t want to say this but if people are actually into this genre and think this drama is boring IMHO I am calling its either they are lazy to use their brains or not focusing when they watch or they simply don’t get it (maybe the subs but oh well). Might get hate for this but seriously if you actually watch it while paying attention how is this drama even remotely considered boring. Make it makes sense. So much more solid plot and logical than RR and such. I am so frustrated and annoyed by the fact excellent dramas like this get rated so low yet so many mediocre ones are all hyped. You don’t have to like this drama or genre, but objectively quality is something personal preferences can’t deny. I said what I said. Period.

If you have enjoyed Tracer you most likely will enjoy this one. It’s a type of plot you actually do need to use the brain to actively think and understand where things are going.

I am actually glad that Ilwoo didn’t end up killing anyone. He’s had enough of a hard life. I would hate for him to lose his last hope as well. It’s upsetting the teacher didn’t get what he deserved (the fact that he SA and killed Wolwoo out in the air), but just by imagining Ilwoo also losing his entire life by killing someone, I can’t even picture how sad that would be.

Just to clarify, he didn’t know it was the teacher when he saw the Santa. He only knows there’s a Santa guy who SA Wolwoo. It was only until the court he realized the Santa is the teacher

I would think it’s actually pretty possible. There are many times people ignored “mentally unstable” people on the street cos they sometimes are scared of them or just thought they are “crazy” especially on Christmas Eve. People might just don’t want to deal with potential problems and spend their time with their loved ones because “we are already so tired at our own shit, I don’t have time to help someone else”.

That’s also the idea of the story the director and actors want to tell as well - Jinyoung in a press conference said “often we have our own hardship and our lives. Sometimes we may think ‘I am so tired already.’ And we all have turned a side eye and pretend we didn’t see it once. We hope with this movie, if audience can at least look at them once, that’s a success.”

No mention to the mom but she left. Dad abandoned them but he gambles a lot and left ilwoo to deal with a lot of debts

Yea, they tried their best to not make it a typical anti hero fighting style cos they want to showcase how the disadvantaged groups almost never have a satisfying end. They already changed the ending to be more hopeful in the movie lol in the book it was way worst.

The picture was a news to say some other mentally disabled kid was able to get awards from doing some kind of art career path. It’s basically wolwoo’s little dream of being useful and successful in life even with his disability. Oh gosh just by writing this up my heart is arching thinking how happy and hopeful Wolwoo must be when he saw the news and clipped it on the mirror to look at it everyday lol…….. ughhhhhh

And grandma died probably cos she was too sad about wolwoo’s death and ilwoo too busy figuring out CCTV and stuffs so didn’t have time to care for her. She could have passed from a heart attack or sth (ppl do when they are in extreme sadness after someone’s passing) and grandma is probably old sick and weak to begin with as shown in the scene with Wolwoo at home watching TV - seems like her mind was already unclear before
