I should’ve waited til this finished airing 😭😭 I wish there were more kdramas like this!!! Perfect actors,…
Try My Dearest too... Two of the best shows this year so far. Perfect actors, great production value, attention to details, and a extremely solid script!
I'm curious if Disney changed their minds after seeing the success of this show. For anyone who's not aware –…
No, I read news interview from the Disney+ leadership it was incorrect. They never meant to leave the Korean market, in fact they think they have been slowly increasing their subs. The laid off was more of a restructure. I mean let's be real, their Korean team in the past few years really sucked... lol They need a much more capable team who truly understands the Korean market and much much much better marketing team lol
"holding back is winning. violence is the easiest and dumbest method"that's dumb. sometimes, violence is the answer.…
It doesn't mean what she said is what supposed to be right. It only captures her current value at that moment for her character because of her experiences.
And I just found this gif of her in another movie damn she’s like a completely different person. https://ibb.co/L56xSB0…
This is her role in "The Night Owl" movie. She was nominated for best supporting actress with this in this year's Baeksang. Although I believe her role was short.
FYI I went back to read the interview where the scriptwriter talked about Gone With The Wind:
- "Don't use a fixed angle to view someone," but when situations like this happen, how do you combat it? (regarding writing scripts and characters)
- There are lots of things in history that's hard to "open". That's the same as the Qing invasion of Joseon background of "My Dearest." If we are talking about "My Dearest," it reminds me of the movie "Gone with The Wind." I believe, if you take the conflicts, hope and beauty of the movie and mix it with the war time environment of the "Qing invasion of Joseon," then you won't feel it's hard, but rather it can tell a very convincing stories of the lives with people during that time.
But i read the scriptwriter said she was inspired by gone with the wind
Hmm so I went back to read the interview, this is what said:

I know there's talk out there regarding the reception for this drama and as to why it isn't getting as much attention…
I personally loved that we started with ep1-2. (Of course I found it very captivating from the beginning) without that build up of their characters and the time setting, the environment, the contrast, and the relationships, ep4 would not be as rewarding as now

I have always loved her acting for many projects I knew she would do well.
