Title Run On
Just want to come here and say, she is not entitled to like her brother. He is literally stalking her and forcing himself to her when she clearly said no. Maybe she rejected normally at the beginning but after numerous times he camped at her office and making a big fuss at her place, she gets more annoyed and “meaner” just so he can leave her with peace. Forced love is violence. Don’t forget what SG told his dad. Plus, it was his gender that she hates the most. They are both flawed in how they express their feelings.

Now, for sure I am really hoping their relationship can be resolved: her putting her walls down to open her heart, and him finally having someone in his family to care for him. He’s such a lonely boy. I cried so hard at his scene but I also understand Danah.

So just wanted to say that although I understand both of their angles, it’s a very difficult place to resolve and I am sure they will get to a better place in the next 8 eps. That’s the reason why I love kdramas, they will get there at the end. Life is never so hopeful and optimistic in reality lol

I don't feel sorry for her (Dan).I empathize but don't sympathize. They all have walls. Mj said the ML invaded…
I think the younger brother went too far tho. She has very right to not like someone and she clearly told him that. He is making an effort but how far does it take to be too far and time for him to back off? He literally camp at her office and make a fuss all the time. Unwanted love being forced to another person is still violence. Just like ML’s dad to ML I hope the two of them can resolve their relationship and hope she doesn’t push him away and put her walls down, but he is also basically forcing himself to someone who doesn’t like him and clearly told him off.

Of course, I feel really sorry for him and I want someone to love him pls. I cried watching him saying he just wants someone to care for him. But I understand how it feels when you dislike someone but that person just keeps on annoying you.

this one seems to be doing a much better job than roy... roy seemed like a one man show with little to no character…
It’s funny cos I only watched ROY to ep 5? After that I could only stand to watch the recaps to know what happened. Even from ep1-5 I was not too impressed. Maybe because Do You Like Brahms was airing at the same time and it was brutal to compare the two since DYLB was SO GOOD? Lol so yea, I agreed, I don’t think ROY can even be compared with Run On so I don’t see the concerns so far. But we don’t know lol Dramas ep4, 8 and 12 are usually big milestones lol we are at ep8 so far and it’s continue to be great!

Dan Ah's reason for hating her idol brother is just very stupid and childish in my opinion, he obviously didn't…
I would have to disagree. We haven’t seen what was the back story but we know she has voiced loudly for many many times that she does not like him (or any of the men in her family), him forcing himself to her to the point he is basically stalking her all the time, what makes him being excluded from the rule of “forced one directional love is violence” that KSG told his dad? She clearly told him she doesn’t like it.

I teared up for him cos he is so lonely and he just wanted love. But she has her rights to say no. He keeps on forcing himself to her and that’s why she has become more and more annoyed and “meaner”. Just because he came from a good place doesn’t justify his actions.

Plus, she hates them because she is born a girl and she can’t take the rightful place even she is so much more capable and shes the only one who actually born with the “official blood”. She has been fighting and battling all her life just because she is a woman.

I didn’t think he was really bad bad, but I think that character was a bit too complicated emotionally for his acting skill at least at that time. The day to day he was fine, but when it comes to scenes needing more emotions it shows. Since the character is actually having a pretty complicated background and personality lol I dropped it too cos of him to be honest.

It’s ok I dropped it 4/5 of the first ep? Watch kdramas so much I can pretty much tell if I would like a show or not within the first 15 min - 1st episode lol start up ep1 is boring to me lol

Why is every kdrama male lead such a great cook !!They always look after FLs meals.......
I like that it actually makes sense here and is part of the character background. He is an athlete who must take care of himself very well to monitor his health. She is a freelancer often just work non stop (I can relate so well I always eat my first meal at like 6pm cos I just worked non stop at home)

Why not? Certain movie uses slang. Heck. I live in America and still need to google certain slangs....i can't…
As a ESL speaker in the US, urban dictionary is super helpful when watching pop culture cos many things said in movies and shows don’t have proper English dictionary

Is the ML interesting and less affectionate/warm?
I have found a lot of the ML that I truly love are warm ones. It doesn't mean they are not complex and character building doesn't take a jerk --> nice person. Being a nice, warm and kind person since the start can still have great character development, such as Lee Ahn from He is Psychometric and Louie from Shopping King Louie. Honestly, even Captain Marvel lol One of the critiques I heard for Captain Marvel is the "lack of character development" but I don't see why we always need to see someone started out as a jerk LOL That is like "a change in character" more so than a "development" in my book haha

But that's just me. Each can like their own but just want to clarify warm characters don't mean they are "nice 24/7 and never getting angry" or "boring"

We are more talking about his persona and how he interacts with others. Yes, the background story might seem alot…
I watch korean dramas for 16 years and I watch at least 5-8 dramas per season. I am telling you the characters in Run On are quite unique. In their ways of dealing with real life issues. But you already have your mind set since I see many have responded but you are not getting it so it's kind of meaningless to discuss further :) you can agree to disagree

People who are likening this drama to Record of Youth are doing it an injustice. Maybe the uh, colour scheme is…
100%. That's what I told my friends too. Run On is the Start Up and Record of Youth wanted to be but failed to be. It got the same city elite realistic witty romance set up, but the execution in the script writing and character building is completely on a different level. I watched ep 1 of all 3 and my feeling was: Start Up - I am dropping another boring love triangle with the SML taking the ML's script. ROY - It's okay so far but also not the best out there. At the same time I started Do You Love Brahms and DYLB was SO MUCH BETTER. Run On - Instantly fall in love.

is this drama good? i'm only watching until 2nd episode, but stop it because it makes me so sleepy.
I personally think it was already very good at ep1 and 2. I definitely think the drama is getting better and better but if you don't like ep1-2, I don't know how much ep3-4 would change your feeling since this is a very slice of life type of drama. There won't be any "big events" really. It's amazingly good at that with the characters building and dialogue but if you aren't into slice of life, this might just not be your type of drama? :)
