LOL even ep1 of DDSSLLS was bad lol I loved the writer's first work (Shopping King Louie) but DDSSLLS really is not it LOL The characters were really childish and not developed well. Actions don't make sense, but ok. Like you said, to each of its own. (for the record I also watched kdramas for 15+ years LOL)

To each of their own I guess. It's Okay That's Love is a much more drama-ful show with a lot of emotions and plots. It's not what Run On is aiming for at all. The entire theme for Run On was as daily life as it could be and the emotions are as subtle as possible. It doesn't try to tear jerk you as well.

I think that’s the point of the ending. You feel like there’s a next because they just go about living their daily lives, which is like what Mijoo said, there’s no happy ending because the true ending is death and you are alone. There’s no eternity love as well, so the best ending is simply just their daily lives and continue to “run on” :)

Actually, because she is strong, that's why she said what she said. Being strong doesn't come from nothing, her knowing her own values, and cherishing herself, is the reason why she becomes strong all her life. No man (or no one) is worth it to be belittle and spy on by his family like that. And she knows it's his family, he can't run away from them. She doesn't want him to break away with his family as well. And she knows if they talk now, those are the words it will come out from her mouth, that's why she asked him for space and time. Let her clear her mind and calm down before having this talk, maybe she will say things differently, but it is actually very in-character that she would want to part away, for her own sake.

Plus, this is an important lesson for many other drama writers. You can't have a healthy relationship when you don't cherish yourself first.

While I did enjoy that show too for some other reasons that were shown in the show, but that relationship didn't. Gang-tae to me was super abusive to Munyoung, emotionally. He pushes her away EVERY SINGLE TIME when something happens, and by yelling at her.

depends on if you enjoy slice of life drama or not. Some found melo is my nature boring as hell but for many it was a masterpiece, just like Run On :)

Hahahahaaha it's only the second week of 2021 but there seems to be a lot of amazing writers are coming out with new projects. (Such as Signal/Kingdom writer, It's Okay That's Love writer, Miss Hammurabi writer) I am super excited for what's to come this year, but Run On is for sure already on my top 2020-21 list!!!

I think maybe it’s because of his gender. She is the rightful eldest but because she is a woman even tho she is the only capable one, all her male siblings took away things that was supposed to belong to her. When others could take away things you desperately want it just because of their gender and not ability I guess everyone would be upset too

On the contrast actually a lot of Koreans are religious but cult in Christian is also an actual HUGE part of their society. It’s extremely common and the cult even have power and influence over their presidents.

It is definitely very late and bad lol that’s why I 100% relate with Mijoo hahahhahaa
