This is actually one of the most realistic best friend turned lover stories. its so underrated its sad. i dont…
I watched it when I was 19 years old and I actually want to watch this again being 30-31 now since this drama talks about 30s :) Especially after watching Be Melodramatic
She was the opposite of selfish. She took care of the dad for all that years and she knows how hard it is marrying someone with illness. She just love her daughter so much that she doesn't want her to endure the same as she did.
Jae Hoon's extremely anticlimactic ending with his martyr complex just left a terrible aftertaste. Otherwise it…
Haha! Nope. I would have ended it right there too lol But looking back when I was younger, it happened to me and I actually didn't broke up so we all were young and silly once lol So it's just real but not something that me particularly would do now lol
I actually don't think they are the "villains". In this drama, no one is all good and all bad, they all are just…
Also character growth is also when a person has learnt to accept who he is. His strengths and “flaws” but learn to accept them and love them. It’s just a part of him.
On a side note, who’s the villain in this drama? I can’t think of anyone?

I thought he has grown a lot tho? I mentioned in another comment too. If a person become someone they didn’t believe in at first, that’s just change (for the worst) not “growth”. A character growth means they get to be the same person but a better version and smarter more matured version.
Eunseom understands human nature so much better now and is no longer “naive”, he is still trusting for the goods in human, but that doesn’t mean he’s naive. He knows very well what he means for the Argo tribe, “hope”, and that’s why he acted upon it and leveraged it. He’s been through the worst and he’s no longer impulsive or looking down on himself. He now understands how this world works and chose to see the goods and just generally curious about where the life is leading him to. He understands it’s not about “saving his people”, unlike at the beginning, because it’s the world they need to fight against.
If they didn’t have part 1-2 viewers wouldn’t understand or care about the plot development. There were moments…
I thought about your words and why I didn’t feel the same way, and realized for me, character development doesn’t mean they need to change personality. They can still be the same person but learned how to be better and smarter at it. It can be more understanding to human nature, what to do in situations, how to react and counteract, etc. What kind of growth it is if a person is becoming someone they didn’t believe at first and completely changed? That’s just “changed”, not “growth”.

It’s very realistic tho. I might be those that actually really didn’t want Jae Hoon and Han joo to date and thought this was amazingly done. They definitely had feelings for each other when it started but slowly Han joo realized Jae hoon isn’t ready nor suitable for each other so both of them without pointing it out just backed out and pretended there wasn’t anything. And that’s just how a lot of couples can never really “break up”. And in all of this, Jae Hoon learned what he did wrong in the relationship too so he grew up.
I think their relationship is supposed to make you feel uneasy to watch and draggy, because that’s the actual feeling of any real life couples that face this type of relationship.
Agree. There are episodes I enjoyed that work, which pulled me in, but basically this is a muddled series that…
After watching part 3 I understand why he needed to spend so much time being captured because his role was to form the army to fight with Tagon but it takes time for the kingdom to built and for viewers to understand the world and all the relationships. At this time you can see finally a lot of the people are now going to fight against tagon and they all needed to unite and eunsome spent a lot of time understanding how this world works and his army would only make sense when tagon is ready for a war
It seems that part 1 and 2 were unnecessary, nothing important happened there. But the 3, I must admit, is a bit…
If they didn’t have part 1-2 viewers wouldn’t understand or care about the plot development. There were moments that felt longer than it needed to be but it takes time to build a character and make the viewers connect and care for them
If you read most of the reviews after the first two eps, most people tell you not. It's like the GoT that set stage in a fantasy time period and fighting for power (some) but the story itself and the topics its bringing is very different. The characters think and act very different than any American shows because each have very different values.
I actually enjoy Tagon and Taealha's story a lot. Eunsome's story has been very interesting but I understand why the writers didn't move his story faster, because us as viewers need to know Tagon's side inside out before Eunsome's story is necessary. And the progression makes sense after watching ep18.
The drama setting is big, they spent the first 2-4 episodes setting it up but it was VERY worth it. Everything makes sense after the initial introduction.
This could have been so good and still could become that if the next seasons are good. It had a really high production…
I actually don't think they are the "villains". In this drama, no one is all good and all bad, they all are just part of the story and fighting for their goals. They are all main leads.
