Currently in the middle (ep9), its a pretty decent watch.
Very nice performances, smooth storytelling, i wish it wasnt that focused on students life, though i like the main point about greedy heartless parents who neglect their child's needs, the hypocricy of the so called "family", the corruption etc.
My only problem is the FL's stylist-hair, clothing, i mean wtf? Does the stylist hate her? What kind of hair is that? What kind of clothing? She's running a very cute, clean and cosy take away restaurant, she meets so many people everyday, who had the crazy idea to dress her like a granny doing her everyday chores?
And her hair...they look as if they havent been washed for about a month or so.
Another EPIC fail is the age gap. I dont mean the age gap between the actors or the heroes-i m always fine with age gaps no matter who is the older one-male or female.
But we saw them 12 years ago, he was already in university and she was about 25-i guess she is 3-4 years older than him. But the way they re portraying her...she looks older than 55yo and not in good shape. AND a virgin? Middle aged people virgins again in kdrama? Arent they tired of showing grown ups who never had sex?
Bonus: the 2 male students friendship and at the same time love enemies-relationship. They re both tooooo cute and their interactions are priceless (im sure all the BL fans out there will get crazy over them).

This is a decent watch drama. The characters aren't likeable I should say. From the leads to supporting casts.…
Its 2023. Even during past centuries not all women were seeking for security cause relationships are not contracts and love is not a deal between one who needs security and a stronger who provides it. Marriage doesnt provide any kind of security and everyday statistics and stories prove that. If someone wants security, he or she should find a good insurance company. Love should be about wanting to spend your life with someone because of who he is and because of what you share with him or her. Also not all women want kids, plus a couple can have legal kids without getting married.

There's nothing worth watching so you better save your time. No relationship or any worth watching interactions between the main leads, no story, nonsense overall.

IKR? She didnt have ANY medical skills (neither ethics) to begin with! And to think that im not the kind of viewer who wants to see only good and kind characters-on the contrary, i love bad heroes/heroines who have their reasons to be that bad even if i dont agree with those reasons! The person is pure garbage and the writers did NOTHING to justify her garbage-ious persona!

Just started watching-currently on ep 4 and i love it so far! Main characters are portrayed in a bit grotesque…
At first i was biased towards the ML, he looks more like a flower boy than the character he's portraying but i was wrong. He is the perfect uneducated, rich, fancy, not-knowing-what-he's doing-guy, but with very good deep traits in his core as a man. Yeap, up to now, no cliches at all. They even have a past like normal adults! I m always so tired of 30yo who are clueless about everything involving flirting and love in kdramas

Such a gem!!!! I love EVERY SINGLE THING about this drama. Perfection.
Just started watching-currently on ep 4 and i love it so far! Main characters are portrayed in a bit grotesque way which gives a dark comedy vibe. I only hope it wont go downhill later.

I honestly cant find any reason for that guest house setup. They were also doomed to live together in that mansion from the beginning-he as the oldest-still alive owner and she as the legal owner. 16 episodes are not enough if you wanna set up a guest house spending 4-5 episodes designing and picking wine glasses.

Romance hardly exists. It could be done better. ML is fine in terms of acting, FL starts to act after 6-7 episodes-dont expect any engaging performance. Overall, most of the viewers can predict what's going to happen after ep4-5

It lost focus. The premise of "soulmate who will not be his soulmate after all" was very good as an idea but i think they didnt handle it the way they should. Too much screen time wasted on setting up the guest house and practically for about 8 episodes nothing really happens than some randomly spread info

The second couple got me hooked. I loved their dynamics.
As for the whole drama...quite boring and predictable. Flat written, one dimension characters, nothing new nothing special. Not even Shin Hye Sun managed to save it with her always nice performance

Too much skinship is what you define the forbidden flower see the bts so much was cut it was toooooo steamy 🤣…
Forbidden flower has copied so many scenes from other dramas, that i really got annoyed! They ve copied chinese older dramas ones, korean ones etc. Im not into any kind of skinship, only the one that has a point and is meaningful for the plot. In Forbidden flower scenes were very pretentious and with a very not natural light, i had to drop it. For real and artistic skinships -plus a very good -though tough movie, there's a korean oldie: Frozen Flower. Great performances as well.

Title Love 911 Spoiler
A total failure. Where should i start? First of all, really BAD editing. They got from "cant stand the presence of you to-lets have sex and a relationship-that looks meh".
Maybe it was bad writing too.
Then, what kind of a character was that doctor? In the beginning she refused to report that the patient might be beaten by her husband AND refused to do some extra medical tests that eventually led to her death? And furthermore, she wants to avoid any kind of punishment by accusing the husband even though she was at fault? AND she goes to persuade the firefighter to report a man who just lost his wife?
What kind of monster is she?
There was no character development, no relationship building and sadly no story at all.
Too bad because the couple of actors were just fine.

In "see you in my 19 life", I like the concept of reincarnation because that's what the kdrama is literally about,…
I agree but kdramaland is full of that karmic destiny childhood bonding trope even in mpre serious and supposed mature dramas. Try older ones where cliches are not that many and not so often used. Personally that was the main reason that i prefer chinese and japanese dramas. They ve got their cliches too but not that much

Im 7 years late to read this comment but THANKS. Im also more into jdramas in general, cause characters are depicted raw, very relatable to real people. I ll drop this kversion and go straight to the japanese one (im im the middle of it). I couldnt relate though im about their age. Most people in their 40s, even though we may not be mature enough mentally (i wonder do people ever get mature?), but still we ve got some experience to reflect upon when things are complicated. We also tend to simplify things and not complicate. Here we watch 2 middle age people behaving like they were living in a cave for the first half of their lives. I know they had their trauma but still, its very annoying that kdramaland always depicts people having no relationships at all for many decades and suddenly BOOM there's the real thing.

Well i thought that the most unrelatable cliche of kdramas was the 30+ virgins (both genders) but now i brake my rule: people in their 40s and 50s having only one relationship/marriage 16 years ago and then...zero.
Ive watched to many kdramas and the only normal character was depicted at "Love to hate you" (the woman-cause the guy was ok a virgin as usual in his mid 30s)
On another note, this drama tried to fight ageism and stereotypes with....more ageism and stereotypes.
One of the many examples: when a man likes a woman +10 years older, he's got mommy issues-there's no possibility he likes her because HE REALLY does like her.
But when a man likes his best friend who is like a sister to him for more than 30 years, its ok.
And all the above coming out of actors as lines from a commercial spot, preaching while staring the nature around, silly contemplations about life and relationships again and again .
The only good thing was the elder couple: relatable people, full of sexual desires, traumas, fears, conflicts, physical contact that comes naturally.

Haha yes! She has that classic beauty look (i even found a greek actress same age who looks exactly like her). I find him sexy-but not objectively handsome.
They look great together though! Opposites attraction dynamics.
For southeastern Asians, 9 years is a huge gap (ageism at its best). As for the couple, in the movie "second virginity" there's a very nice bed scene between them and since ive got a "nose" for real couples, i ve searched and thats how i found out. They are also not married though together for many years-so i guess they break the rules in evey aspect.
In the article i found, they met at the drama and they announced their relationship a bit afterwards
