What a gem 😭😭 I still can't believe how good this drama was!I loved the twist with Koki and later ML & FL.…
I know right? Simple, pure, warm and with that Japanese sense of reality that is so relatable, so deeply emotional! I could easily watch a bunch of 20 more episodes, just watching all of them living their lives! Dramas like that, prove that original and deep stories dont need big budget, filters or anything. 10 from me too!

oh god that was bad, i mean REALLY BAD!
Not the actors fault though, they gave pretty decent performances-the whole cast-
but the story was pointless, nothing happens.
Whoever wants romance, should be satisfied with FL and 2ndML and thats all.
Whoever expects kisses between the leads, nope! 1.5 second almost fake kiss at the last episode and thats all.
A supposed to be slow burn romance, but it turned a total failure.
It could be made better if it was a melodrama, or a dark theme one, where the 2 besties never express their feelings and we got a bad ending. But now its an epic failure
And dont get me started with the useless pointless draggy scenes -my finger got stuck on the ff button so to skip

This one is a remake though, so technically it isn't authentically a Jdrama. Imo, Jdrama excels when it comes…
My exact thoughts. This is not a-let me call it-representative jdarama in terms of story telling. Jdramas are mostly cheap productions (unless we re talkin about those that are sold to netflix which are very westernized cause they have mostly western audience as a target) but they re top notch in terms of narrative and originality. The stories often leave you breathless and i ve never remembered myself skipping scenes in a jdrama-be it of any genre. This one wasnt bad, it was just draggy and pointless-plus the very poorly written FL as a desperate 30yo who at one moment wants desperately to get married and the next MPAM she gets "wise" again thinkin that marriage is not her cup of tea (and we re talkin about a 30yo let me remind you-too young to get married in any case). The acting though, was good by the whole cast

One of the best OST (both main theme and fillers) i ve ever heard in asian dramas overall. Without being anything special, each piece is suitable when needed.
Now still on ep9, i skip some scenes, episodes are unecessarily long, but the main couple has great chemistry (though as individuals they re not that interesting) aaaaand
there's SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR everywhere!
(the hashtag thriller is completely out of place. The drama is very light hearted-it could easily be korean lol)
As i ve read many comments blaming FL's character and the actress for bad acting: She did a pretty good job. She just didnt have the looks, she's not the usual asian type-petite,short, skinny, just her cheeky baby face and thats all.So its hard to deliver a girl who suffered from turret syndrome and lived all her life glued to her mother. But that was the whole point: she was like that and ive seen MANY female characters in asian dramas who are that naive and behave like 5yo, without having any reason for it. At least she had her reasons to behave as such. Plus, she had to be in total controversy to the ML as a character, as he is witty, "evil", experienced and dark. Yes the writers went too far with that "mommy" thing all the time, but the actress's performance overall was decent.

Very bad acting from the 2 main leads.
I have a soft spot for reincarnated/fated to be/couples through times, but this couple is not convincing at all. They move act and talk like co-workers or worse. Nothing indicates that they were lovers to begin with. Still on ep 8 and i think i ll drop. I could endure the horrible cgi if the acting, the character building and the chemistry was good enough, but here its not the case.

Title Last Cinderella Spoiler
HE LICKED HER BACK!!! From my understanding, they had the same dad different mom, therefore, they were half-siblings.…
Since the were not blood related, that scene would make sense, if as teenagers had a crush or something. But since they were just siblings growing up under the same roof. the scene was pointlessly erotic. Because it was clearly sensual. They could show how he regretted and wanted to comfort her, in a totally different way. This scene was out of place

In reality there can be love between any age/bodytupe/looks people. Sadly, in shows we can see only good looking…
In Kdramas hard to find cause its all about beauty (at least after 2012-13 . Before that year long there are better quality works by far, in terms of drama/movie making and less beautification. But i suggest you should go to Japanese dramas where you will find true gems with much emotion and reality, not caring at all about beautification-filters-all this sugar around. If you want, pm me so i can send you some suggestions i found from jdramas

That "bimbo lookalike" was probably reincarnation of that young widow, so he only continued in previous romance.…
2 questions: 1. was it indeed a reincarnation? i somehow lost it-i thought he said she was not after all
2. when he comes back each time, can he get intimate with her without fainting? I ve lost that part too-maybe he is recharging (kind of) while being in his planet?

Title Dearest
First and foremost-i root for Rio and Kase-im guilty as charged, but their onscreen chemistry was off the charts! Great chemistry too between sister-brother. The only failure was the main couple, of course i dont blame the actors-though ML 's performance was too blunt- i couldnt feel anything by his expressions, his body language-failed to convey his emotions. But the main problem was the writing of the main couple story. What was that: "when this is over we'll talk about our future together". They werent a couple-to begin with. There wasnt any interaction that showed any kind of attraction between them. Lame dialogues, no depiction of their emotions for one another and thats all.
On the other hand, there was plenty of good writing about Rio's and Kase relationship. The subtle (maybe) romantic feelings of him towards her, together with his protective nature and his will to make everything he could for her and her brother's happiness-his empathy to ther father, and his whole character building were very sweet to watch-plus a GREAT performance by the actor.

The whole cast did a great job-i exclude the ML a bit
Overall, a good detective drama, with a bit slice of life elements, not tormenting as it may seem from first episodes-overall a good and decent watch

Hey, quick question, does Yukiho arrange for the young daughter of her second husband to get raped in this version?…
In the drama there's not a second husband of Yukiho. But there are in total 2 arrangements of rape attempt (only attempt so to scare the victims and leave Yukiho alone-though the second one was just out of her greed and will to just punish her friend for being a good well nurtured person)

As a nonsense, fluffy, lighthearted romcom fan every now and then-especially after watching a really good and heavy drama/movie, i ve never watched such cringeworthy show.
All the ridiculous crappy nonsense fanfics out there, should bow to this one.
No, its not the non existing storyline. Its not (only) the stiffness and fake intimacy of the main couple who had multiple supposed-to-be-bed-scenes but there was nothing there, the nonsense dialogues and there's so much more!
If you want to watch a nonsense light romcom, BUT with very good actors, direction and real feeling, go and watch: "Love is Phantom". At least you ll get to see real people moving and talking like real people, not souless dummies.
What a brain damage!

Gods know how many nonsense-manga inspired, light fluffy jdramas i had to watch after this one. so to console my broken heart. This drama literally broke me into pieces with the whole cinematography, the darkness, the tragedy i was expecting to burst any moment.
I ve watched after the kversion (which ok it was good standing alone with all the superficial filtered glittered beauty of kdramas nowadays -but i felt zero feelings)
My only complain is that they should focus more on Kimutaku's character as you said, he was the initial wheel who moved the story and was very little depiction of his whole development from childhood till today-ok i get it that jdramas are too short-but still they should focus on him more.
I loved the FL, as she came out to be a deep full of real light and love character, without being silly and immature. She represented successfully the light as her brother was clearly the dark part of their special bond.
Overall, i will watch it again sometime, when i ll be fully recovered (i recently watched it), so to enjoy the acting and other stuff more.
(btw, are you Greek? im Greek too, i ve noticed your title about greek tragedies, and this drama clearly brought the same feeling to me)

It's so interesting how people like you freak out at taboo subject matter like this and are so timid that you…
Movies and dramas, are not made with the purpose to preach or tell us what to do and what to like. They just depict parts of life, even taboo ones, disgusting ones which are still part of reality-even when none of us would do it. Its ok to feel uncomfortable to any kinds of topics, but there's no such thing as "people will do what they see in a movie".
