Patriarchy has literally blinded so many people in this world! I had to hear that term of "wife material" for centuries.

Just want to point out a few things about the whole "pedophilia" thing that triggered many people in this drama.
1. I dont know the actual age in Korea, when someone is considered an adult, (in my country is 18), but biologically, both males/females are considered as adults in terms of mentality and a good level of maturity, at 25. So if we are about to judge the whole thing in all dramas/movies worldwide, we must forbid any kind of relationships between a 18yo and a person over 5+ years older.
2. For the 2/3 of drama, FL is 19. Even if she was 40,she would still be a baby for ML. Remember we're talking about a fictional world, fictional creatures, fictional fates and a creature who is about 1000yo. There is no "appropriate" age for a woman to be with a man of 1000yo.
3. For the same amount of 2/3 of the drama, the ML remained a protector for the FL, not a lover (except 1-2 kisses and even though she was head over heels with him, he didnt act as a potential lover and that is a credit we can give to the writer for not making their relationship a "lolita" kind. Apart from that, even if the writer wanted a lolita kind of affair, a 19 yo couldn't comprehend to this kind of heavy fate of those two. He is literally a condemned soul-very heavy to swallow and deal with.
Chinese xianxia drama watchers will totally get what i mean, since the trope of: ML immortal god waiting for his love to be reborn and watches as she grows up and when she gets to be an adult then he makes a move so the story progresses, is very common in xianxia.

The OST is one of the most beautiful, appropriate at each scene, magical OST of kdramas ever. When you watch Goblin and hear this OST, you appreciate the value of soundtracks in every movie/drama and how they can make a scene bloom or completely ruin it. As for the whole drama...im currently rewatching so i can write a review on it. First watch 4 years ago and now i appreciate it even more. Such an ensemble success by the whole team in terms of acting, storytelling, direction, photography, costumes, right amount of humor/tragedy in every episode,even though the love story is not always on the leading arc (i think its right they did it that way, FL was almost adolescent for 2/3 of the drama -she physically couldnt match ML for such heavy background fated love). I will never get over this drama though im not a fan of any specific actor in it. LOVE IT

I myself watch it though i find it at least cringeworthy and laugh with the whole cult-trashy thing. So what? Enjoy the drama, enjoy the commenting/gossiping/chit chat here and let people be.

Oh i get your point! I didnt read all comments here so you may 've seen some bad intention ones. As for criticism, good or bad intentioned, i think its good to exist in everything in life, cause the creators of a product-any product- are mostly focused (Or they should be) on negative criticism so to spot their faults. After all they make millions out of it and we are part of their customers. I admit that i have a soft spot sometimes for crappy lighthearted entertaining things of all kinds.So,if it were me, i would watch anything that clicks to me, even if the whole world hates it. e.g here in dramalist, i first pick up my dramas according to genre, but i always start from the lowest rated ones-for many reasonable reasons.Thats what everyone should do, pick whatever he likes no matter the hype or bad rating. Enjoy your dramas!

Agree. Nonsense in terms of reality its ok as long as you can convince the audience about the rules of your fictional world. You should keep a logical structure. If you dont then is all over the place. But ok, all over the place dramas are fun to watch, you dont invest anything, just having fun!

Having fun with ridiculous things (even under a subjective way), on a drama, is not hate. Its just having fun by criticizing the whole thing. Chill, its ok if you like it, its ok if you dont

He proved he didnt need the cops. He was stabbed in a crucial body part, he was losing blood for hours, he stayed underwater, he lingered under a rock but he managed to kick bandits as@ off, escape, find clothes AND a mexican hat and then he was off to go with his lass for weekend at mommy's country house! weeeellll done! Keep your hair on your head! lol

I lost every hope for improvement. I ll just sit through the end, admiring his 2 sizes down-suits and facepalming

Should i count the dumbness? 1. She runs out of battery,cant call the police, but the other two in the van,CANT CALL THE F@ police on time!
2.He is stabbed in a crucial-as its seems-spot on his stomach,stayed under the water, runs in the forest, but YEAH he can fight a bunch of men kicking like a pro!
3.The police and rescuers leave the place when it gets dark CAUSE THEY CANT search anymore for a person who may DIE being stabbed losing blood for hours.
4. the 3 friends return to the hidden loft -ok tomorrow is another day after all!
5. dont get me started with the pest control ridiculousness when the 3 of them went to save him
I cringed through the whole episode with all my hair up to heavens (and i ve got really too much of a hair)

Where i live (country in EU) sexual consent age is at 15 (of course not with an adult). But here we're talking about a FICTIONAL story plus the woman is already an adult as a 19yo. How can a 1000yo man could ever be at the right age for a woman of ANY age range? Even at her 80's she would be still considered a baby comparing to him. Oh! And dont forget to sue Nabokov

I doubt its a matter of low budget. I mean, cm'on, they could get a suitable size! Price still the same. They probably didnt care enough

I did pause the moment i saw it-still cant believe that it was a mistake, he's such a tall guy, but ok maybe its just me. Im still having hard times to digest the no-socks-mocassini in men in kdramas!

meh i 'll sit through the end (i ve digested 60-70ep of chinese dramas, hence 4 more ep to go on this is a piece of cake) hahahahah. Yes you re right im affected by the whole thing. The whole project looks to me like they got too bored to make a good drama-im talking about the whole production team. I feel as if im watching rehearsals or a beta version of an upcoming story. The plotline didnt look very promising from the beginning, too repeatitve, too flat, but i hoped it would climax a bit. I still hope for that climax to happen in the last 4 ep-my good intentions will kill me at some point lol

I also dont get their chemistry here, though i loved them in Steal the Fate. This whole drama looks a bit lame to me, in terms of production, performance of the main leads and storywise. I hope it gets better, there are only 4 ep to go

The maing couple goes to the company dressed as cleaning staff, faces uncovered, ML wearing a fake mustache (kindof), with cameras all over the place, with a psycho boss running after Don Se Ra. ML has a whole undergound loft with every kind of accessories/costumes/makeup/wigs, but ok he will visit his own company wearing a plain cleaning staff uniform.
Hellooo? Is logic there?
