On Angel's Last Mission: Love Sep 29, 2022
Shin Hye Sun nailed her part, though it was very flat written, she deserved a more layered character. ML was deadly cute but i wish his performance had also a deeper level so to match the FL. People who love or/and know ballet, should turn a blind eye in many aspects visually. I cringed a lot every single time i watched the FL (at least her upper body part that was not edited by a stunt). Her movement was so stiff almost creepy at times-and of course i dont blame the actress for that-the choreographer should have done a better job with her while portraying a top notch ballerina. And im not a ballet fan-or even a dancer.

Title Maid's Revenge Spoiler
Am I supposed to be angry or sad rn? Like seriously were they so horny that they didn't realize the need to go…
THANK YOU. After your rant, i ve checked the last ep, to see what are u talking about. You saved me my time cause one thing i HATE is bad written endings-not sad or open ones bad the kind of endings that ruin the whole drama. WTF was that?????? A doppelganger in front of the eyes of A WIDOW???REALLY? Plus the whole make out scene while he was already stubbed-i ve watched that too. Oh god, another minguo period drama to the trashbin, meh!

Agreed. Their relationship is fine since they're both adults + there were no disturbing scenes. Then there are…
I was very surprised with people's annoyance because of her supposed immaturity. Actually, in many aspects she was more mature than the others, e.g. when she decided to sacrifice herself to save the children, or in her final goodbye words to him. Even as a teenager (if we consider a 19yo as one), she could survive in a toxic "family" environment, she found a part time job, she even took care of her aunt when she became an annoying spirit. At first i was worried she'd be shown as a cinderella-damsel-in-distress which i dont like, but she turned out beautifully as a character over all. Maybe the audience got it wrong due to the couple's appearance. Gong Yoo's face structure makes him look much older (Even when he was at his 20's he looked about 35), while Kim Go Eun still has that cute baby fat face even now. But overall, such differences make a couple more interesting to watch. With all its faults, this drama left a huge impact, and when that happens, there is always a good reason.

Its a matter of presenation and motive. Even if she was 30 and he tried to manipulate her with money/luxury/lies etc, he would be unlikeble and garbage as a man. Whoever tries to take advantage of the other's weakness so to have an affair with h@ is garbage no matter the age. But here it was a story with fantasy elements and the whole thing was just flirting and trying to find solution to the sword case while she was underage.
As for her childish behaviour, since when its forbidden to be childish and silly no matter the age?
Plus, especially asian girls/women have more childish like, behaviour than westerns in general (and im a western girl). They're more cute more cheerful, even their appearance resembles to little girls, whats wrong with that? Here in southern Europe, we are hairy and kind of masculine hahahhaahhaahha but its fine too!

Though the manhwa is really good, the drama is not based on that. They just used that god's name and thats all. But…
wow! Ok, first of all i didnt say you like Goblin, i was talking about me.
Then, nobody took this manhwa away from you. Just a project based on that and nothing more.
If you are an adult and you take to heart, a DRAMA, then guess who's got a problem.
As for me, my country has already too many problems, SERIOUS ones, as the whole world ( i bet your country has more or less the same), so i find it quite immature and weird to see people around me getting upset and COMPARE serious problems of a country and its goverments, with a comic and i wish you success to your-may i call it-campaign of defending what's precious to you. And i really wish you find really precious things in life, that matter most than a manhwa.

I loved Goblin for a number of reasons, though i never turned a blind eye to its weaknesses-its a unique piece of art in many aspects, mostly in cinematography and some theatrical ways in line delivery or postures of the actors.

Even if i could, i'd never want to forbid people for commenting anywhere for anything. Hence, at the same time when you post a comment, you (and me and everyone) have to be prepared to be criticized too.
As for this drama, when you buy the copyrights, it depends on your contract: you may agree to follow the original or (both parties) agree to be free to improvise the whole thing. So, if the manhwa dudes were ok with the drama the way it was written as a script, then case closed for us viewers. All the rest is a matter of taste.
A drama's beauty is in the eye of the beholder/watcher. Nobody takes dramas that seriously, unless he works in show biz. I just made a suggestion to chill, cause i find it absurd and kind of creepy to create a whole account with such nickname as yours. Of course nothing personal-how could be!
Personally i enjoy it cause im watching it as something lighthearted, silly as a parody, without investing my brain or emotions on any of its aspects. If i was to make a serious review, in technical -artwise terms, i 'd approach it in a different way.

I'm watching episode 1 and can't help wondering why this korean show looks so much like a Xianxia... It's unsettling.
Indeed it does. Maybe its part of its beauty. I havent watched anything similar in fantasy/historical korean dramas

But really now, though i see your points, you created that particular nickname here only to leave a comment? I mean, how much you hated it? Chill oute people, these are just dramas for fun, there's no need to feel offended, there's so much chaos in our world already, just chill!

Despite so many negative comments, i gave it a try. Now on ep4, and its quite fun! I mean, it doesnt take itself that seriously and this is always a good attitude for a show-not to create expectations of any kind and just entertain you-especially a show of that genre. Up to now, the main leads are ok, the character build up is fine, acting is good-ML though he was very young in 2017, he is really convincing -FL too. Dialogues are pretty interesting at times, giving hints here and there about the future character development. If i can make a prediction, i dont think it will show how the "Immortal world" exists, rules, history etc, but if the interaction between the heroes, gives a go to the story, i ll be fine with it. Chemistry between the leads works pretty fine up to now.

I never understood why the just oh hae young was called ugly in this drama. Surely she didn't stand out as a model,…
Because its Korea! They have their own aspects for beauty, eg heart shaped face, round eyes, greek kind of noses-the exact opposite than we have in southern Europe hahahaha.

As for me, i dislike ALL of the characters and i think this is one of the success points of this drama. I mean, you dont have to like the characters you watch, or relate to them

Seems like you just watched the first episode only. Watch the episode 17 to find what actually happened and who…
Currently watching it and at the same time "hating" it. I think the main success of this drama-at least at the point where i am now-almost half of it, is that you cant really relate to any of the characters, you cant sympathize with them, they look and act so shitty that it blows your mind. It forces you to watcht it cause its very good in technical aspects, acting and overall production quality -except the music is so boring and repetitive and ruins some major scenes. FL is a total loser as a 32yo woman who still holds grudges against a high school rival, humiliates herself in front of friends, colleagues, getting drunk all the time and show no self respect towards her love interest. And i think this character delivery is VERY well done by the actress. Little to zero times have i managed to dislike a FL in any drama.

AND Steven (Zhang Xin Cheng) with these 2 you mentioned which are of my favorites both as actors but at the same time as great performers in romance

oh god! is he the "no kissing scenes" policy guy?pf and i really wanted to give it a try cause i love this genre, though i dont like his acting in previous works. Why is he casted in romance since he puts this restriction? I mean its completely unprofessional, when you play romance, you behave like humans, you hug, you kiss, you long for intimacy! I think i will pass this one! Kissing scenes are already an epic failure in cdramas (and most korean ones with few exceptions). I really cringe a lot!

What exactly is "annoying" about Li Qin's voice though??? I don't get it...why does every woman's voice get called…
Some Asian females-esp Chinese ones-have higher tone voices, so they may sound a bit cartoonish or annoying to foreigners-just my personal assumbption. I do find them cute, but it depends on someone's taste. It goes vice versa to China. Many people "hate" Nini's voice-they find it too heavy, though its really beautiful its just not "girly".
