Unless you can’t stand melodramas and real, adult relationships, you must WATCH IT. Don’t listen to the moaners…
100%agree. Still on ep8 and im thrilled with it! Dropping kdrama one after one, i wonder why i dont find such dramas nowadays (even if this one is a bit soapy but its soooooo damn good). As for the ending, i always spoil myself a bit cause im a good ending sucker (not necessarily happy but good overall for the sake of the story), yes it makes sense and gives a kind of redemption for a new start. Overall I LOVE it
All hypocrisy of the human kind is shown at the comment section below: people get offended by the "infidelity" but the dont get offended when lives are destroyed because of others conspiracies, lies, deception. I guess this world still has more priests than shrinks .Wow just wow!
Whats wrong with a 17 with a 13yo feeling so many positive emotions for each other? Whats wrong with you people?…
Of course they are! Age differences count twice as much when it comes to kids, even when there's 2 years difference. But its about emotions. They wont have to get married or take serious life decisions so why do the have to be at the same phase?
That's because it's not supposed to BE a "beautiful love story with righteous characters." Go read some children's…
Children's books content includes talking vegetables, monstrous animals, evil stepmoms and other pervert things (and thats how people grow up and go preech about morals in MDL :)))))))
All the cheating make this awful to watch. I don't see this as some beautiful love story with righteous characters.
Movies/dramas/art products are not entitled or obliged to present "beautiful love stories with righteous characters". Some indeed do, while others present reality (which is the case here) or others present elves, goblins, kitsune, gods, animals who talk and rule the world etc. Art is about creativity and imagination. For pure reality there's national geographic.
Whats wrong with a 17 with a 13yo feeling so many positive emotions for each other? Whats wrong with you people?…
Well most people do. But if you didnt thats ok too. The fact that you didnt, doesnt mean that emotions of any kind at early ages, are illegal/immoral/whatever bad.
imo it was so creepy, I know that you can love someone forever, but he was literally just obsessed about her.also…
Whats wrong with a 17 with a 13yo feeling so many positive emotions for each other? Whats wrong with you people? You never felt anything until you reached adulthood???
Sure, because we all know that if it werent for movies/dramas/art in general, people would never cheat, lie, kill, abuse, use violence! We are born as white pure angels and arts corrupt us
The first priority of FL once regaining memories should've been getting a divorce and finding out her son's biological…
Nowadays trend: neo-puritanism. Welcome to the purgatory hehe! In about 10 years from now Bulgakov and Bukowski will be forbidden, Goblin (and its beautiful OST will be gone forever) and we sinners will burn to hell! Enjoy! (i even read comments here, from people being annoyed with the 2 kids in the beginning being friends, showing affection and original compassion to each other. Its a bit scary....i dont know.
Can someone please explain with the youngest couple, is the age difference suppose to be big? because the girl…
The girl looks like she s in elementary school-later classes- and the boy at later classes of high school (about 16-17 yo). But its fine, they are both kids and their relationship is very appropriate according to their age: affectionate friendship and the pure love&compassion bonding of 2 kids who feel close to each other. It was my favourite part. I think we shouldnt be so judgemental when it comes to positive emotions such as love, affection, kindness, even when we see it among kids of similar age. Its just beautiful and its the only beautiful part that we still keep as a feeling when growing up, transforming it later with adult's needs and new emotions and desires.
I ve postponed to watch it for a few months now and i gave it a shot thanks to your review, not because i trust other people's taste (taste is completely personal and subjective matter) but because i share the same criteria with you, when it comes to "good drama/bad drama-expectations from a drama". Ive watched about a half up to now and i m really enjoying it. Of course not because of the story line (actually there's hardly any storyline worth mentioned), but because of the beautiful performances of all the cast-esp the main couple's. I always admire actors who give such good character portraying and great chemistry (not necessarily erotic chemistry but in general) even though they're dealing with boring-cliche-repetitive scripts as this one. Overall its just for fun! Thanks for your review, it helped a lot!
Shin Hye Sun nailed her part, though it was very flat written, she deserved a more layered character. ML was deadly cute but i wish his performance had also a deeper level so to match the FL. People who love or/and know ballet, should turn a blind eye in many aspects visually. I cringed a lot every single time i watched the FL (at least her upper body part that was not edited by a stunt). Her movement was so stiff almost creepy at times-and of course i dont blame the actress for that-the choreographer should have done a better job with her while portraying a top notch ballerina. And im not a ballet fan-or even a dancer.
Am I supposed to be angry or sad rn? Like seriously were they so horny that they didn't realize the need to go…
THANK YOU. After your rant, i ve checked the last ep, to see what are u talking about. You saved me my time cause one thing i HATE is bad written endings-not sad or open ones bad the kind of endings that ruin the whole drama. WTF was that?????? A doppelganger in front of the eyes of A WIDOW???REALLY? Plus the whole make out scene while he was already stubbed-i ve watched that too. Oh god, another minguo period drama to the trashbin, meh!
For god's sake why didnt you put a spoiler on your post???? Not only did you put the link without spoiler tag,…
Meanwhile you must have killed a bunch of this drama's fans who havent yet watched the whole thing hahahhahaahhah (ok i think you tagged the spoiler on time)
Agreed. Their relationship is fine since they're both adults + there were no disturbing scenes. Then there are…
I was very surprised with people's annoyance because of her supposed immaturity. Actually, in many aspects she was more mature than the others, e.g. when she decided to sacrifice herself to save the children, or in her final goodbye words to him. Even as a teenager (if we consider a 19yo as one), she could survive in a toxic "family" environment, she found a part time job, she even took care of her aunt when she became an annoying spirit. At first i was worried she'd be shown as a cinderella-damsel-in-distress which i dont like, but she turned out beautifully as a character over all. Maybe the audience got it wrong due to the couple's appearance. Gong Yoo's face structure makes him look much older (Even when he was at his 20's he looked about 35), while Kim Go Eun still has that cute baby fat face even now. But overall, such differences make a couple more interesting to watch. With all its faults, this drama left a huge impact, and when that happens, there is always a good reason.
