Despite how unbelievable Nozomi's transformation is, watching her putting down the all-absorbing black hole of toxicity that is Manami, instead of it being the other way around, was so damn satisfying. I love how Manami's response is "I've always hated you... for essentially being a decent human being who wants to make her loved ones happy." Have you tried doing that even once instead of complaining, Mana-chan?
Tbh, ep8 lets down me a bit. While nozomi's changing is to be expected becuz of all the things happened, I think…
Despite all that's happened so far, I don't feel like Nozomi's complete change of personality and worldview is that believable. Watching her roast Manami was really satisfying, tho.
The last couple of episodes just didn't have the same intensity as the rest but this is still such a compelling drama. Fingers crossed the next few weeks have the same quality as the first few episodes.
Idk bro, offhand comments and sidelong glances from both of them seem to imply they might be into each other. But this isn't a romance drama so I don't think it matters.
Gosh, Ae-ri's mom frustrates me so much. Her and that Jin-ho character. I think Kwak Song-ja won't tell Ae-ri anything on the next episode either, based on the preview.
It's not as bad of an age gap as most other dramas and character development KSJ & HAR did have some chem but that's just my opinion. But yeah, I think the romance tag is really inaccurate here. What the cheating wife has with her husband and lover cannot be considered romance. Maybe they mean Ae-ri and her friend? But even there, there was such a big betrayal.
Nevermind, I said this because I was on episode 6 and fooled by the romance tag. Pre-character development Kim Seo-jin is a jerk, he doesn't deserve Ae-ri.
I wanted to wait and watch this drama when it finished airing. I couldn't hold myself any longer and decided to give it a try... and I binged 6 episodes in one day instead of doing my essay.
Despite myself, I really shipped Asaba and Kiki. I can't stomach her being with Makoto at all, they have no chemistry at all. I'm going to wait until all episodes are out before I start watching this drama again. Hopefully, my ship sails in the later episodes.
It's a decent show. Not as good as The Gifted S1 or Sleepless Society: Insomnia but definitely better than your average Thai drama. The pacing was a bit slow and sometimes they dwelled upon a scene that should ended quickly but it was a fun drama if you like mystery or suspense.
