I'm also happy they toned down Nishida Yui's hair in the movie. The horrible blonde dye job did not suit Honoka Matsumoto at all in the webseries.

Honestly, I really liked it. The movie was way more funny than the anime but I feel the latter was deeper. Some of the characters' motivations was left really vague so people who haven't read the manga or watched the anime might a little be confused but I feel the plot is easy to understand anyways and everyone acted really well.

The OST, especially the ending song, was absolute fire; the cinematography was beautiful and the production value was just as the anime. All in all, a nice movie to watch when you're bored or need to relax.

Disappointed in ending.. wanted them to get together
I mean, it's implied that they will together in the future.
On Stranger Season 2 Sep 13, 2020
I'm just not feeling it this season. I found the first season interesting and compelling but S2 seems so slow paced and devoid of energy. this was yet another episode where literally happened.
On Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira Sep 12, 2020
WOWOW literally cannot miss. This was one of the best crime dramas I've seen from Asia and definitely Japan. The first few cases were not that interesting but after that the drama skates into masterpiece territory. The acting, cinematography, soundtrack, special effects, production value were all off the charts. Definitely do not miss out on this drama if you like crime, thriller, detective genres. 9.0/10.
On Takito Kenichi Sep 12, 2020
He was my fav detective in Cold Case despite his minimal screentime. He kinda looked like the even scruffier Japanese version of Broadchurch's Det. Hardy in Cold Case, tbh.

Can anyone recommend similar dramas about detectives solving crime, something without too much comedy or romance…
You'd like Stranger, Iari, Last Winter We Parted, and some others I can find for you, if you want.

I LOVE JAPANESE VERSION OF COLD CASE..hoping there is a romantic angle between ISHIKAWA & TAKAGI...
I feel like the last episode kinda hinted at that. But like Hwang Si-mok and Han Yeo-jin in Stranger, I would be happy if they became close friends.
Cold Case 2 was still light years ahead of most other Japanese, and even Korean, crime dramas but I'll admit that aside from a handful of cases, this season didn't hit as hard as the first. There was not that much of an emotional heft and the pacing was sometimes off. But still, light years ahead of most other crime dramas, would definitely recommend to people who like crime, mystery, detective, suspense genres. The cinematography, acting, visual effects and acting were top tier as usual. Look forward to Season 3.

I really liked the drama, I think it was better than the movie in some regards. I just don't agree with the ending.

Title Bad Genius Spoiler
okay i wasnt expecting anything happened in the final episode. i never thought that bank would be the traitor.…
I kind of sympathized with Bank than Lin in the end. She kind of ruined his life by snitching on them. It's okay for a middle-class girl like Lin to have all these high ideals but how will a poverty-stricken family like Bank's survive? How will get educated with all this on his record?
