if you like lfl, you should enjoy this one. bai lu and Leo's chemistry is off the chart and it's so addicting. oh, she also looks prettier in this one (without the nasty wig she had to wear on lfl).

those ppl are probably obsessed with their own idols or dramas and don't want others to do well. I'm sure there're a lot of them like that, they will purposely trying to sink other current popular dramas. I usually give a higher rating to the one I watch if I see these ppl doing that.

from reading Weibo, maybe just rumors but I don't think YZ made up his mind as to who's going to be the FL for IC yet. as of now nothing is certain till they start production. There might still be hope...

yes, they both have obsessive fans but I find XK fans to be more vicious. he has more fanbase so when I read weibo, I see more attacks coming from his side. I understand it's not the actors' fault in regards to their fans' behavior.

I was a shipper but I'm also conflicted with them starring in a drama again with the reason you mentioned above. YZ is known to spread rumors to drum up his dramas' popularity so who really knows who's going to start IC...

I didn't say bai lu has or hasn't more outside productions; What I meant was that I preferred bai lu to do more outside production so YZ can't mess with the script or screen time. I feel that if I expected someone to be the the FL/ ML, I'd like to see that person be the main focus of the drama.

In terms of favoritism, XK gets to start in bigger productions and better known FL ex. Count Lady. Whereas, most of bai lu are smaller productions and lesser known or unknown ML ex. Song of Youth. I agree with you that the industry is going through a "winter" period right now, so they're both lucky to be working on any dramas at all.

I won't be supporting IC without BaiLu as FL. The drama doesn't sound that interesting to begin with...

I think it's YZ's decision. They all work under the same agency but YZ definitely favors XK a lot more and gives him the best resources. Hopefully Bai Lu can get more dramas from outside productions. Remember AMA (in-house drama), it was written and produce by YZ, he gave so much screen time to the 2nd FL (she's from the same agency), so unfair.

Since you mentioned soundtracks... I thought the background music is very similar to Arsenal Military Academy which I don't think it goes with Wuxia drama.

The ML is good but the FL, I thought her acting is a little lacking... Her character/ appearance here is very similar to the other historical dramas she was in.

no info yet but according the characters' chart I read on Weibo, the 2nd lead is supposed to be a 29 year old, the ML's rival. I think Toby looks and is old than Riley, but who knows.
