It's literally impossible to include all of those subplots without each movie being 5 hours long, nobody is going to sit through all that. Most importantly, they are not necessary in order to convey Paul's story and the main message of the author. Maybe you notice it more because you especially love the books, but as I mentioned, movies are a different medium and the average movie goer understood and loved it.

I dont think Dune feels rushed at all, Denis Villeneuve did an amazing job in pacing, he literally split ONE book into two movies so it didnt feel compressed. Just because the movies didnt show every side plot from the books, it doesn't mean it is a bad adaption, the HP movies are a perfect example of that.

Books and movies are different type of mediums and cannot be compared 1 to 1. Authors have the luxury of meandering and making infinite subplots if they want to, directors on the other hand, dont have that option, they need to stick to the meat of the story and trim the fat. Readers like to learn about all of the supporting characters and their quests but I can assure you, most movie watchers are not going to sit through hours and hours of detours.

I recommend Dune as another great Hollywood adaptation despite the books once being thought to be impossible to bring to life.

Man, his expression was scaaaary, he was pissed! That stare down between the men spoke 1000 words. I fear (love) that this slight will push him more into the evil side and that NXY will try to get XXC back for that.

I think his big interest in the FL stems from his cryptic dreams. IDK what the images mean but it looks to him that they were married/soulmates in a past life and swore to be together. Maybe he is trying to figure it out, and it will all become clear to him in the future.

Honestly, it's baffling to me that he is not popular with the women in that world. He is rich, titled, handsome, capable, a GENIOUS and a gentleman, he should constantly be batting away mamas who try to set him up with their daughters.

Wang Duo is a great actor, his delivery of the dialogue is so charismatic that we can't help but feel AURA through the screen. He also does an amazing job at conveying feelings or thoughts without words. I especially loved the scene of NXY and his father in the aftermath of the massacre, when NYX sat down and softly rested his head on his cane, I was like.....wow, savage😲.

I am following the comments and that is a very very small minority, people just FEEL BAD for the guy, it is not equal to romantic shipping. I have not read almost any comments saying "Dump the XXC! NXY is much better for you!" Or "XXC sucks! NXY needs to live happily ever after with MXL!" Or "NXY is a good guy! He deserves to be with MXL!".

I think MOST are aware that NXY is not a good fit for the FL. I have seen more comments of people talking about the SMLxFL shippers than ACTUAL SMLxFL shippers.

I dont know why people assume that those that enjoy the SML are rooting for him to be with the FL and that him dying alone is a "gotcha!". For example, people liked Itachi as a character cus he was cool, tragic and his motivations were layered. NXY is a similarly compelling villain, we look forward to the chaos he will bring, the epic fights he will have and it doesn't matter if sacrifices himself and dies, we actually expect it.

I knew NXY had a part in his father's death, he was waaaay too nonchalant when MXL was trying to comfort him about it. So he permanently lost 9/10 of his power? The medicine only fixed his legs right?

Thanks for the quick reply. It's kind of weird, I can watch every show on Youku BUT eps of the Blossoming Love. I tried installing it again and it didnt work, Im in Canada, maybe it's a regional issue.
