Dou Zhao was of higher ranking till very recently and she NEVER punished Ansu for any slight or impropriety. When the poor maid/friend started bleeding Ansu didn't bother to stop at that point, I'm sorry, but praying for reconciliation would not cut it for me.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happens, it's such a common trope in Cdramas, I'm sure that her last breath will be used to ask for forgiveness from her "sister".

This is a test for Ansu to show that power will not corrupt her and that she will remain loyal to Dou Zhao. It's easy to be friends with someone who is rich, gives you a job and always saves your family's ass, but now that Ansu has more power than the DZ, let's SEE if she can return the favour and not turn into a spoiled princess.
