I read in article that Blood-free season 1 didn't gain viewership in good numbers, which is the reason Disney is still in process whether to give rights for season 2 or not. Also the writer intends to do season 2, they all just waiting for Disney to agree. The reason for low viewership is in fact lack of promotion from Disney and it being a sci fi series which is a niche genre. We all know Disney is not good with promotions. Moving, Revenant, ONE DOLLAR Lawyer were a hit due to fact the main leads there are really regarded as highest actors, drama itself is very good and also some of these drama were run on television channels too. These three combo made it a hit in viewership terms. Not saying ju ji hoo or hyo joo are lesser actors but the above mentioned drama actors league is completely different and it is a fact. Still season 2 is a pending decision, and I am only hoping to receive a good news from disney as the season 1 is good. Most viewers are only angry due to fact there is no promise of season 2 and last episodes some thought that was the really the series end and seeing a villain win didn't feel right at all. When it is a very obvious fact that the series didn't ended, it was only done half-way but season 2 news is not coming out. I personally feel like just because season 2 renewal news isn't getting shared that doesn't mean we should talk bad about season 1.

I am not feeling yet for this drama, mostly because the more they talk about academics and students which is like 70% of screentime, not only I feel like I am missing out on romance but it is also reminding my own competitive exam days and how toxic and rat racing the entire education system is. FL way of teaching is throwing me off, she is just like teachers who only care about if student gets marks and not about actually understanding the subject. But I can understand, you need to teach that way to survive the stressful education system and retain your job. So teachers nor parents can be blamed as they have no choice. I am going to give it few more episodes since I like ML, hope they bring in more romance and less academics.

It's nice to see WI HA JOON having main lead role for the first time. He always played 2nd ML roles till now. I really hope this drama will make it happen for him.

i felt the same, for once it's nice to see villain has a upper hand and actually knew how to win. I am also hoping for season 2, now that villain has won and shown his cards, beating him would be even sweeter and by the ending of season 1. I am expecting in season 2 ML and FL has cultured organ inside which will enhance their physical capabilities to almost superhuman. The season 2 might be like arc of advanced humans. Truth be told if this drama is marketed to sci-fi fans and comic fans, it would be even more popular. Unfortunately the marketing never targeted the right audience for this drama to gain viewership.

There is going to be a season 2. Who ends a series with nothing much answered at all and actually the ending itself feels like new beginning. There is a clear intention for season 2. The main lead actor ju ji hoon is completely booked this year with many dramas, which might be a reason for only releasing of 10 episodes and not the entire series. Also OTT released series tends to do it in seasons to cover production costs and fit budgets. People should stop being disappointed thinking the series has completely ended, it is not. If there is no news for season 2 by june, we can all complain then. Be patient.

let'ssee if we get any news on season 2 in a month, as ott platforms take minimum a month to announce their plans for season 2.

Yes, they could given us 16 episodes all at once or even if they are aiming for 20 episodes also they could do it. But I seen ML actually committed to 4 dramas in 2024 itself. I never seen that many dramas an actor committing in a year. So schedule of actors might be a reason why only a season 2 is released. Also OTT platforms have limited budget, if season 1 is successful they wave flag for season 2. We just have to wait few weeks or a month to get official announcement for season 2.

not same as moving, moving is actually an open to your own interpretation ending but it was clearly an end of a series, while this one hasn't ended it's series yet. they is going to be a season 2.

it is a great series so I actually don't mind watching few more seasons. The moment writing turns sloppy or an actor couldn't participate in next season or OTT platform cancels next season due to lack of budget is the only time I hate series that have seasons. But I am seriously hoping that won't be the case here.

Writer please give us season 2 as fast as you can. I know you clearly want to do season 2, but give as soon as possible. Hopefully by next year march

there is. The writer also wrote stranger which had season 2. Most OTT platforms don't announce season 2 unless they got all the details completely confirmed. The only issue is how long will it take. Have you ever heard any Hollywood series announcing season 2 as soon as they end, they take at least one to three months to announce and they release next season the following year.

yes, the only problem is disney promotion. Most of the series got recognized on their own due to well written screen plays. While even mediocre shows on netflix are doing great. I actually like disney is picking up unique stories instead of taking the usual kdramas we seen mostly.

Why are people commenting they are disappointed. Am I the only one who feels happy that last episodes are not the ending of this series and in fact it is very clear indication of season 2. The only thing I am worried is if both ML and FL are alive and are in separate bodies. My gut says either only one is alive but in other body or both ML and FL are alive in their own bodies but they will be first couple who has genetically modified body. Which means they are much stronger and healthier.

i am also thinking the same, but both ML and FL has great chemistry between them which is left unexplored and I am not talking about romance. So for that sake I am hoping they won't do it. I am thinking they are just trying to confuse us by showing it like that and let's say even it did happen. Yes I'll be bit disappointed but I will still watch season 2 as long as it is well written.

There is season 2, it is as clear as day after watching last episode.
