Contrary to what was shown, the people wanting other people to eat fake meat and genetically modified crops are…
I don't think that would be the approach. The drama is showing BF company has successfully able to modify cultured meat without loss of nutrition and side effects. It is implying it has successfully created modified meat unlike the real world scenario we have now. Thus they are saying they are saving environment and able to save farm animal lives. The main protestors are those who used to farm animals for slaughter houses. Their livelihood will be obviously at risk. There will always be a side effect. Like when cars came into picture, there were no demand for horses anymore etc. But this drama will mostly focus on business and rivalry and politics, I feel like it won't be tackling that issue deeply.
This writer doesn't do romance and love. Only in life kdrama there is love story between main lead and main FL. But it doesn't occupy big time on screen. The writer always does a good controversial drama where it focuses on healing of main characters emotional trauma in most of her works.
I have to appreciate the back ground music of this series. Very few dramas know how to use bgm to convey emotions other than ost. My liberation notes bgm is my favourite and this drama bgm is solid. I'm sold to watch this because of bgm and the series feels so different in their approach. I really hope this series becomes really good as each episode go by.
I don't think KSH acting is evoke and profound in this drama that is worth nomination. But that my opinion and…
isn't that true? most rom coms and light hearted dramas don't usually demand great acting skills. As long as actors are decent in their acting it is fine. Let's take recent impossible heir drama, have you seen FL acting. Or even actress shin se kyung - many people always criticize her lack of acting skills while I personally find it is ok and not bad. Even cha eun was criticized so much in early dramas and now he improved a lot and he is even choosing different role to show case his real talent. Also if we go by character, most bully roles are almost played similar way until Glory came into picture where villians got to play not only role of bully, a bad mother, a bad wife, un remorseful, highly egoistical, a drug addict, a fame addict, a low self esteem bully etc. which is the reason that drama despite so many other bully dramas we seen it was highly praised and even the actors were incredibly praised. Kdrama is still progressing a lot, I been watching for 20 years, they have always improved and their are still room for improvements. my comment isn't to insult rom com genre or actors who play simple characters, it was an observation which I am saying for such reasons complex characters are sometimes needed to evaluate an actor real skills. because so many times they get type casted towards most churned roles which are played in similar way.. It doesn't mean it is bad acting but they have routinized so much is what I am saying.

When will you learn that someone right to have their own opinion doesn't mean that person hates that actor. I like KSH and all I said is I find there are few more actors who gave much more great performance than KSH. I never said KSH is a bad actor or he never deserve an award. You are the one who is assuming all this hatred just because I had a different opinion that doesn't validate yours. Argue all you want I still think KSH isn't top 5 of this year and it is my opinion. As for backing up, I am not good and better at this haha, but maybe you might be better at this. Why don't you back me up and tell me why actor lee sung min wasn't decided in this year nominee for bloody lucky day. It seems like you are someone who can back up well, you might come up with answer and I might learn some.

I haven't insulted entire industry. I was talking about certain roles where acting is always done in same manner regardless of drama and I gave those examples too. Parasite movie, our blues, hospital playlist, prison playbook is one of many dramas where Korean actors proved their incredible acting skills. You completely missed my point and viewed it as I am blaming an entire industry acting skills. As for KSH I never said he is a bad actor or he didn't act properly in queen of tears, all I am saying is it is not my top 10. (emphasizing the I). I have the right to have my opinion. Just like you have yours. This is why it is hard to comment even anything opposite to masses opinion, people like you will entirely make it seem like I am some hatred comment who is against KSH when in fact I never was and never will be.

says the person who literally said "But you sure know better than 60 industry experts.". Making passive aggressive comments and dismissing my opinion, saying I am wrong and calling me petty. You sure know how to pick a fight and act like a victim here.

wow getting worked up over someone who has different opinion than you. if you think KSH deserves it so much kudos to you but don't argue on my opinion. I just gave my opinion while being respectful to KSH, and you are just here picking a fight.
Honestly Lee sung min deserves to get nominated for all his roles lol. Dude is such a great actor
exactly my point, you can see how much he adapts to his role. In Misaeng he is frustrated office worker, reborn rich he actually acted like a real world CEO, in a bloody lucky day he acted as a desperate father and a victim. He should have been in nominations this year. His acting was flawless in bloody lucky day.

Oscars nominated Ryan gosling for barbie instead of Margot who actually played the crucial part and the movie is all about. So what is your point??? Do you think everything is a fair game?
Many are saying that Kim Soo Hyun doesnt deserve to be nominated, he is not that great of an actor. EXCUSE ME??I…
I don't think KSH acting is evoke and profound in this drama that is worth nomination. But that my opinion and yours is yours. I am watching KSH since dream high and I don't hate him. Although I agree with your point a good actor skills should also be there in simplest roles. But most simplest light hearted rom com dramas or simple dramas, most Korean actors the way they portray their role in terms of acting is always similar to one another. Like if ever see a bully role it is always same expressions no matter which actor plays or which drama it is, or a cold hearted CEO guys, same expressions again. Also the script and dialogues also don't help these actors as the tone of the script is also same again and again for these roles. Which is why in Kdrama a complex role or strong role became a factor to weigh in a person acting skills and his Versatility. I do agree with your point "a great actors knows who to give profound emotions in simpler roles". I only have examples of English dramas where I felt what you said. Like hollywood movie "little miss sunshine", or an Irish drama called "derry girls," and many more. (Here the script is also helpful but you can actually see what being a great actor in a simple role actually means. Kdramas tend not to focus or demand high acting skills, unless it is a complicated drama or role. Otherwise a decent job in acting always becomes enough.
Fairly speaking KSH acting is good. But you can't tell he is one of top 10 as most actors get recognized for their…
I think both our points are fair to consider. But acting industry is hugely flawed. Would you still consider so dam is great had parasite movie been a flop despite her role was unique. Let's not say flop, just decent movie, would that have made her gain recognition? I am trying to say there are many actors who are way great with their acting skills, but don't get recognized because of their looks, or their dramas are not block busters despite their role is unique, or they not popular in public, or they don't have powerful agencies to back up. Frankly speaking, do you really think out of five nominations spots this year, KSH being on it is actually reasonable. I am not saying it is KSH fault or something or KSH is a bad actor, as I said the industry is flawed. Personally looking back at all the decently performed dramas from 2023 and early 2024, there are few more actors who well deserved those nominations.
this drama is almost flawless regarding everything but the one thing I'm really not accepting is that yoon eunsung's…
exactly I feel the same. If a guy is helpless in love with a girl, he would be careful of revealing himself as a complete villain. Yes a person who is in unrequited love can do bad things to get acceptance, but that person will try to hide his true nature as much as he can and tries to present himself in a loving way. Eun sung character seems like a smart person,, who is smart enough to have connection with hericyna chairman, but his role doesn't seem smart anymore. His role towards Hae in makes more sense if he doesn't like her genuinely but instead views her as possession he must have to clam his fragile ego.
I feel KSH shouldn't be in nominations. Don't get me wrong KSH acting is good. And looking at the nominations for this year, without any bias I personally think Nam goo min, Yoo yun seok, and Im si wan are top contenders when it comes top pure acting skills. Personally speaking none of them are my favorite actors. Ryu from moving and KSH acting is also good, but what sets the three actors I mentioned apart is that their acting was completely flawless in all those three dramas. Their roles aren't easy at all. First speaking NGM role in my dearest is a tough role, their were lot of actions scenes too. He flawlessly acted as lover, a playboy, a strategy planner, a prisoner, a broken hearted man etc. For YYS, he acted as a psychopath and his acting made you feel he is really a serial killer. The way he calmly tells to people how he killed really sends you chills. Im si wan role for boyhood, he had to act a non glamourous role and he has to speak in a different dialect to fit into a role of a guy who is a complete loser, gets bullied but at the same time has to maintain the comedic timing. RYU from moving is good, but his role and acting is very similar to many of previous dramas and movies he did. He didn't bring something different to the table, don't get me wrong his acting is awesome, really really awesome. And as only 5 nominations get to be picked Lee sung min should have been nominated for a bloody lucky day. He had to act a innocent driver role, to a role of guy who got threatened by serial killer, a helpless father, a guy who lost everything when his family gets killed and a guy who wants to extract revenge. If not that, yoo kye sang from kidnapping day is also a deserving nomination.
KSH acting skills are great, but his role in queen of tears isn't worth nomination compared to the contenders. If it was one ordinary day drama, I would say hell yeah because that role demands powerful acting unlike this. This is my complete unbiased opinion. I think it wasn't fair he got nominated as their are few actors who well deserved that nomination spot. I am not saying it was KSH fault for being nominated, as we don't know who makes those decisions and what exactly is the process.
Seriously that some people are questioning Kim Soo Hyun being nominated for the Baeksong? When have these people…
Fairly speaking KSH acting is good. But you can't tell he is one of top 10 as most actors get recognized for their acting skills only when they done noticeable dramas. So many actors who are much more talent at their skills don't get recognized because of many reasons. And looking at the nominations for this year, without any bias I think Nam goo min, Yoo yun seok, and Im si wan are top contenders when it comes top pure acting skills. Their acting was completely flawless in all those three dramas, and they were captivating, and personally speaking none of them are my favorite actors. Ryu from moving and KSH acting is also good, but their acting is same style of many of their previous dramas and movies. Nam goo min acting is also similar to previous dramas but he delivered my dearest roles flawlessly. As for actresses, Ra min ran, ah ji eun, and ji yeon are top contenders for me.
Who ML ended up with is an open ending, but writer clearly intended ML to end with main FL only. I guess due to backlash against her they have avoided that. In fact they have also reduced her time in many episodes, but I feel like majority of the reason could they couldn't put many scenes of FL because she can't act. It is a big headache for editing and directing team. Imagine how many takes a single scene takes before it gets approved and send for editing, and now we seen the results of final product. Also hong suzu has turned off her comments section in IG due to harsh comments from netizens. Which I personally didn't like, as that would be cyber bullying. It is okay to criticize here but not on personal platforms. Netizens don't have that right.
Thank god the drama ended. The only positive thing I want out of this drama is actress Choi Hee Jin get a first main role and hopefully it is a good character with good script. Unlike this drama.
This show reserved the spot for worst drama of the year. I know there many disastrous Kdramas in general but at least we can pinpoint where to put the blame, but for this drama it was like trying to point out disaster in a pile of garbage.
