I'm so bored. There's no character to root for besides HeeJoo. The 2 MLs are so dumb. Without something to root…
At this point I am watching for Hee joo, till yesterday I was rooting for her to be Twith ae ha, but after watching today's episodes. I jut want her to get over Tae ha, pack up and leave that family and do something on her own. She is the only one who isn't ambitious, lives on what was given to her, considerate for people who cared for her. She likes in ha because he is been a good brother to her and for Tae ha I feel like she likes him because he is Inha friend, which means a decent person and a guy who is very different from men who she meets in her chaebol world.
Ive come to realise that the issue with this show is not Nye Won, it’s the producers & directors. For some reason…
I feel like Inha likes her either because Tae ha likes her or because he wants her to keep away from Tae ha. As for Tae ha liking hye won, that is just a big writing mistake. Kdramas always tend to do this " main ML and FL are supposed to like each other, especially main ML must just fall for her by first episode." Kdramas always force main ML and FL just because they have to even though their characters don't make sense.
FL is pissing me beyond. I feel like at the end they make all her actions justifiable, make I ha the bad guy and make Tae ha and FL as lovers by end. She has no acting skills, the hospital scene, the confession scene, FL face is so blank in such an expressive scenes. Even for a first time actor she is so terrible, her acting is not even average anymore. I can understand advantages of being pretty in model and acting industry, but how can someone so blank faced and talentless succeed like this just because she has good amount of followers in Insta and has some popularity. There are many actors who landed main roles because of their beauty, but they at least worked hard, they just didn't say "yeah I am good looking, this is enough." It is just unfair to people who work really hard for their talent.
I agree with you. The direction is too fast paced and is not engaging first of all. We are unable to feel the…
Exactly, everything is random and unexplained. The writer could have used real life business examples, there are so many business cases online which could be used, as there is no cooy right issue will happen. It seems like writer doesn't have proper research at hand.
I get the family intrigue and all that but I'm not really rooting for any of the leads at this point. In fact…
lol I watched that beach scene ep 4, those dialogues they used for Tae Oh. Despite it was a serious scene, I was rolling and laughing. Who wrote that scene, my god.
Now that I watched 4 episodes, I seriously think this drama should have been a 16 episode, the pacing is too fast because it is 12 episode. It is disconnecting the engagement audience generally feel for the impactful scenes but due to the fast pace you won't. Also the hacker guy (I am not going to spoil), that person is random. Like randomly added to make sense of things but doesn't make the story realistic and compelling. The chairman role should be given to someone even more older, it is hard to watch the eldest son looks only 5 years young to the father. Also the chairman kind of aura this actor don't have at all, don't get me the wrong, the actor is good actor but this role isn't for him. And more importantly for a drama where roles are serious and plot is serious, FL role should be given to an experienced actor. I know it is her first role and it will take time to act properly, but she should have started of with lighter dramas and went this way later.
Half the plot goes over my head (feel like I'm dropped in middle of their conversations), the sudden cuts are…
I agree with you. The direction is too fast paced and is not engaging first of all. We are unable to feel the impact of the scenes due to the fast pace. It's like everything was slapped together to fit in 12 episodes without a proper storyboard. They just time skipped without even showing how characters are able to reach their current jobs without even giving us any info. I think this was major problem of the whole plot The strategies they are trying to show doesn't seem believable at all, it wasn't compelling. As soon as they introduced the hacker guy, I felt that was so random. I watching for LJW and LJY, both my fav actors. So far for me, only the half sister actions and character seems to be making sense. But rest of the characters actions are so random and chaotic.
I feel like bromance might die or happen. I know Tae oh is assuring he will be always side and his only goal is to make him the chairman despite Inha asking repeatedly don't you want anything from this plan. Given fact Inha doesn't know about the reality of Tae oh father case even after all these years and that fight on beach, shows they both don't trust each other yet. We have to see whether Tae oh will betray Inha and or Inha will betray Tae oh.
rather, I want to develop herself first. Everyone are hyenas in this drama including the 3 main leads. She is the only person who is kind, although she spoiled, entitled, arrogant and has the princess kind of complex for now, she acknowledges things that are wrong. So I want her character to develop from the naivety to someone mature, self sufficient. As far as her love for ML, I am ok whether it happens or not.
I want to ask you does the step sister seem to have decent amount of role in 3rd and 4th episode or is she nothing more than a fleeting character from here on. Appearing barely 5 or 10 seconds instead of at least 5 minutes minimum on screen. She is the only female who I enjoy watching currently in this drama, the actress is really good at playing that role.
I coming to know about her for the first time after watching impossible heir. Her acting skills are top notch. Her quick expression changes are so good. She really has talent for acting. Hope she gains recognition through her current drama and land in main roles with good scripts.
the main actress.. it’s her first leading role and I think drama so I hope she improves on her acting and tone.…
Actually it's my first time seeing the actor who plays this huiju role. Her expressions are actually on point, especially during the slap scene you can see her face is torn between anger at her mom and it is slowly turning into sadness at the unfairness that happened. Later when she ran away from house, she stops at road not knowing where to go or whom to call. You can see her expressions change from angry run away to fear of being alone at that time of the night. Her expressions are quick, I know many actors are good at acting spoilt rich teen girl roles, but those two scenes are enough to tell this actress is actually good at acting.
People are saying the actress for the FL is bad and the reasoning being because she is stiff? Her character is…
Her acting is not good. But since it's her first ever drama, it's ok to be not that great at acting. So many A list actors and other popular actors we know today are someone who didn't act well in their first initial stages but later improved. I personally feel her acting is too much lacking in 1st episode but for 2nd episode it is bit improved. As long as she maintains that little improvement it is ok. She doesn't have to be a good actor in this drama. But if her acting is indeed too bad, the audience can't help but criticize especially since she got her first main role through her popularity as model and through her agency connections. But I still don't like people are going over to her insta and attacking. That is a disgusting thing to do. You can write your criticism in comments section here where it allowed to discuss, but not in personal social handles where it actually hurts a real person.
i can never get the reason behind tae oh being mean to hee joo for absolutely no reason, she really liked him, yeah…
I am actually ok with that. If he isn't mean, she would still be following him. As you can see she is little spoilt since she always got things as she grew up rich. So if he didn't reject her harshly she might interrupt his plans of getting into Kangoh group. So to eliminate the risk, he did the right thing. I like her character because even though spoilt, unlike her family, she is kind towards her half brother. Hope they don't ruin her character by making her as some jealous bit'h who will use money to insult FL in coming episodes.
I am going to say a contraversial statement, if it was for another female lead the drama would be a hit, but with…
Her eyes are dead give away. And her first introduction scene was too obvious that she doesn't know how to act. It is obvious she got through pulling some strings. I heard she is some famous model in SK. But so did many actors in kdramas also got their main roles this way and it is not just in Korea but it is common in every acting industry of the world. . So hating her for that won't be right thing to do. But I do hope she takes some acting lessons and improves her acting a bit better going further. And as it is her first drama, she will not be great, but I do hope it won't be too horrible acting either. If she is too horrible, it just means she didn't even work hard for something she got easily that others take years and decades to achieve.
I don't mind the character of the FL.Her being manipulative adds to the intrigue as it's an unconventional character…
I would like her character if from beginning she was introduced as a girl who will use manipulation to make 2nd ML to fall for her in order to get into Kangoh group. But they ruined her by making her attached to 1st ML as well and viceversa. Like ideally if someone wants to use a guy for money, they don't risk it by subtly flirting with another guy who is in close proximity to the guy who you want use. That's actually being stupid. I am ok with selfish FL, because who says ML or FL characters always have to be the goody two shoes and this drama clearly isn't that kind. But I am afraid the writers will turn her damsel girl and she will only keep getting in the way of everything. I will still watch because what I am afraid of hasn't happened and the first two episodes got me hooked.
Anyway IMO her character would be great if going further she is shown as an antagonist, who is in fact not in love with either ML but is just manipulating both of them. That would be a great character to see. Yes people will be pissed off with her, but they will still look forward for her role. Like how people are pissed of by cersei in GOT but they still would watch her happily. In that sense.
Everyday when i come on here to read comments I'm annoyed & heartbroken. This isn't what we should be talking…
I am ok with fact FL wants to use 2nd ml to get what she want. As this drama is supposed to be being selfish in order to climb the ladder and using 2nd ML might be the way. But I don't like how her character justifies herself to main ML like she doesn't have a choice all the while she also wants to use the 1st ML. It's like she wants money and also the right guy. Like sister, please choose one. Don't dangle your carrot for everything. Her role is right now antagonist. Maybe most people are pissed off because since she is a FL, eventually she will be getting all gains including money and 1st ML because that's the usual recipe kdramas tend to do, and it would be hard to digest that as she has the potential to ruin friendship between ML's, introduce an annoying love dilemma instead of a gripping succession story and stills end up as a winner at the end. But of course if the writer actually doesn't write her that way, then it is ok. Other than FL aspect, the drama is actually good and like you said people shouldn't drop this because of her and give at least few more episodes as a chance.
FL as of now seems like she wants to use 2nd ML to fall in love with her in order to gain something. Her character is more selfish, on one hand she wants to use 2nd ML to gain something but at the same time it seems like she won't let go of 1st ML. And uses her poverty situation to justify her actions to 1st ML so he doesn't think of her as bad person, she keeps on saying to 1st ML she wants to use 2nd ML because that's the only way to get out of their poverty. I don't mind her character, it is clearly selfish one right now. But I hope writers don't justify or glorify her actions just because she is FL
2nd ML seems like he feels inferior to 1st ML even though he acts like a friend. He likes FL after seeing ML take interest in her. Now, they kissed. Which I am ok with it, because 2nd ML overheard their talk in library on how they want to use him and also ML said he doesn't mind. So in a way the whole kissing her even though his friend aka 1st ML likes her is understandable, but the reason why 2nd ML likes her still feels like an ego problem.
Coming to 1st ML, he is so bent on making big and I feel like his desperation will start to test his kindness and might take him towards wrong route.
I don't know why, but the half sister of 2nd ML may occupy good part of supporting role, but I hope writers don't turn her in jealous woman who will be constantly scheming against FL. It would be nice if there is growth to her character because she seems like good person seeing how she is the only person in that family who doesn't treat 2 ML as some insect and stands by against unfair things. Although she got slapped for it.
Like the drama so far, but I wish whatever bad or good things these three leads do, Karma should also exist rightly.
