Dreadful nonsense that I started skipping through within the first episode and dropped by the end of the third. Jerk lead, pathetic FL with a poor past - sigh, unfunny comedy and problematic behaviour ain't a good hook.

The whole eating(and drinking) deliciously is a hard sell for me too, all that gulping and smacking of lips is just foul. I get it, it's cultural; I was taught good manners was eating and drinking quietly with your mouth closed and that's obviously not the case in many Asian countries. "I like drinking alone" gulp gulp smack chew slurp in glorious surround sound - Arghhhhh!

That can be done on the small scale, and have large returns overall." ? I have provided links to two articles which argue the exact opposite but if you can show anything that refutes them I will gladly concede your point. Or probably check your sources and then concede if they are valid.

Agreed especially younger viewers, I stop my children watching things by both the rating and by my own attitudes whilst understanding that I cannot control what they view outside of my influence. I always try to explain why I think they shouldn't watch it. I hope that they at least they take away the idea you can control what media you consume.

No my premise is the things you watch affect how you behave regardless of whether you know it is fiction or fact. Hentai cannot be argued as to whether it is fictional, it's animation after all, but it is still pornography. Equally the experiment on oxytocin used animation to produce the effect.

Self censorship is a good start.

There is also evidence for media affecting the brain chemistry i.e. production of oxytocin. These changes affect how people react in real life.

You can know the difference between fact and fiction but that doesn't mean that fiction won't change how you respond to fact.

Excellent review! So many 'fluffy' romances coming out of China which are actually quite disturbing when looked at with an eye to reality. I'm especially creeped out by the small girl, tall man dynamic which just seems to involve being loomed over and having your space invaded - if it wasn't in a 'romance' it'd be called bullying and intimidation.

I quite enjoyed the first couple of episodes - the useless rich boy trashing everything was fun and Zhao Lu Si is as watchable as ever but my interest started waning quite quickly. The ML kept doing creepy things which made me dislike him as well as wooden acting and tropey set pieces.
The logic/continuity is more than a little off as well making you feel as if you're watching short episodes loosely strung together.
On hold for now.

At a guess he turns nice and was misunderstood in his reasons if not his behaviour and Gon realises he really loves her and tries to change too late. It's Japanese so there might not be a concrete choice at the end but the implication is she'll end up with Shinji - who is now nice. At least that's sort of what I assume happens. Unfortunately I have a Too Jerk Behaviour switch and when it gets flipped it's pretty much impossible to flip back.

I checked and I might be maligning him there.
However of the shows I've watched him play a main role in I've finished 0 out of 6, so maybe I just don't like his acting.

Yet not so brilliantly written that I wanted to keep watching it. I'm afraid I'm firmly with the 'better without the romance' crew for this one - ain't nothing they can do that'll make me like them now.
