Oh yeah cute puppy dog style lead who can get away with anything because he's CUUUUUUUTE and so, borderline? bullies the not so confident FL. He plays similar leads all the time doesn't he?

I can't remember what he was like now apart from awful, if I can bring myself to do so I'll remind myself why I didn't like him and come back to you on that.

Would it be alright if I used the phrase "I am a mixed salad about this drama" in one of my reviews when appropriate? I'll make sure to note where I got it from.

An odd mix of dreadful cheesy over the top nonsense a la a cheap 70's sitcom and some strangely out of place upmarket scenes.
I'm no expert on Korean accents but the one Jeon So Min was doing was obviously causing her (and in the end me) physical pain.
Could have been great but wasn't. Surprised it lasted for eleven episodes.

Pretty much sums up my take on this one, terribly clichéd without enough difference to lift it above the meh! Should have been either less ridiculous or more ridiculous one or the other. Struggling to watch it.

I know right? I mean they were pretty but...

I thought being entangled in feelings you fail to understand was the quintessential essence of being a teen.
I'm sorry but to me it was written badly and Song Ah was such a painfully awkward wimp who loved misunderstandings I just couldn't watch her. They all just came over as petty and petulant or apathetic.
But if you enjoyed it that's great don't mind me I loathed Descendants of the Sun as well.

Tried this again and got to episode 9 before grinding to a halt and really Joo Ji Hoon is the problem, I find him wooden and bland to the point where I find it hard to remember who he is or why I should care. I'm going to drop it again.

Dropped the feisty FL turned all self pitying and pathetic and of course needed saving the dumb pretty boy and the love triangle dude. It might have been better as a BL with all those pretty, muscly half naked chaps running about and then they wouldn't have had to bother with the women at all.

Tried again and got a little further but they were all so irritatingly awkwardly teen... meh! The classical music was nice but the slightly overwrought breathy ballad stuff not so much. Dropped.

My first attempt at watching this I got as far as episode 2 on this, my second and last attempt I got to 9 - though I was playing solitaire on my tablet through both 8 and 9. I was disappointed and irritated enough to think about writing a review but then I found you had pretty much said all I wanted to say. Thanks for that!

I've got to episode 9 and I'm really struggling with it. The situations are unreal and the characters unlikeable. I don't know if I can be bothered, though getting this far means it must have had something going for it.

"As One" is an excellent film not ground breaking in 'Buddy Movie' terms but an excellent show case for the leads - Bae Doo Na and Ha Ji Won.

"Our Little Sister" is a gentle tour de force that's well worth a watch.

"Canola" I enjoyed except the twist was a little too obvious too early and yet it still developed into a winner.

Which makes me want to try your other recommendations, thanks.

Yeah romance is usually the lure but I give most things a try. I ought to add procedural crime dramas to that list they are usually "so bad technically I just can't bear to watch them".

My other problem is where interesting shows just lose steam and I get bored and drop them. Once I'm bored it's very hard to go back to them and finish.

It's almost always worth giving anything a couple of episodes. Sometimes I just know it's not for me straight away. Horror (especially possession), preternatural Serial Killers, medical dramas, politics all of these have to be really special to pique my interest enough for me to watch them.

Your obviously a glutton for punishment Robert. One scene can make me drop a show I've been enjoying one episode from the last.

I've watched 205 drama's and dropped 182. I also have 105 On Hold which usually means eventually drop.
I used to watch all sorts of terrible TV/Movie nonsense till the bitter end until, for a number of reasons, I took 12 years off TV.
Since then I have no problem dropping any program/film/series if it isn't working for me then...BYE!
It's just TV drop it if you don't like it.
