I noticed the female lead, orchid was quite smart in taking care of Dongfang when he was unconscious in episode 26.
I also noticed the female lead has always been brave and and smart in her own cute way whenever dongfang is not around to protect & take care of her.
Maybe it's because orchid knows Qingcang is the strongest in the three realms & wouldn't bully her if she subconsciously leans onto him for emotional or physical support.
Yet, the female lead, orchid is always decisive & clear-headed when it comes to protecting Dongfang Qingcang in his weakest moments. If she were utterly hopeless and stupid & insincere, she wouldn't have given her blood to revive Dongfang when he lay unconscious on the bank. She could've have just run away with second male lead Problem solved. No more dilemmas.
But orchid chose to be resourceful & use her wits to save herself as well as Dongfang whenever Dongfang got useless or weak in the episodes so far.
Also, if Orchid becomes all super smart & turns into a woman who speaks with a firm, steady voice, she'll go all out of character.
In the novel version of the story, she's even more naive & stupid. Compared to that version of orchid's character in the novel, this drama version of orchid is clever, perhaps shrewd with her little bag of tricks when necessary.
