I prefer happy endings compared to open endings because I hate theorizing & guessing regarding the 'uncertainty' aspect of the open ending. It's like not getting a proper closure.
Anyway, can only wait & see.
But I have my doubts whether this drama will present an open ending.
I think it might be a happy ending.

If this happens, I hope Dongfang finds a way to resurrect orchid once more somehow.

Me too worried about moon supreme losing hellfire. Looks like if that really happens, I'm going to be really sad about that aspect even if I'm happy for the two for finding love. Perhaps, there might still be a way to bypass all these complications which will be shown in future episodes.
Or maybe he may lose the post of moon supreme because of losing hellfire.
What'll happen? So difficult to guess for me.

Meanwhile, orchid holds onto Dongfang & cries saying she might marry someone else.
Watching that makes me uncomfortable.
Hoping against hope for a happy ending somehow.

That's because Chi Di Nu Zi loved Dongfang in this life. Even if this love is all one-sided, her love for Mr. Dongfang, the landlord is true because she doesn't remember his true identity nor hers. Her mind is already confused by the haunting, familiar melody played by Ronghao, and Dongfang happened to stand on the rooftop on a fullmoon night a short while after she heard the melody.
So Chi De connected the dots & assumed Dongfang is the one she was always waiting for.
And in the end, she's supposed to be killed by the one 'she' loves. And in this life, the destined person happens to be Dongfang.

So Ronghua interpreted everything correctly from the start, I guess because he already read god of war's fate poem too, whereas orchid hadn't.

That makes me wonder...who writes the fate poems for immortals born as mortals in the mortal world?

I respect the villain Ronghua even though he is quite dangerous. Without Ronghua as the catalyst, perhaps the main leads wouldn’t have bonded this fast. Perhaps, it’d have been difficult for dongfang qingcang to understand xiao lanhua cares about him.

Episode 26 was amazing. Orchid’s and second male lead’s amazing , timely power display saved dongfang. Would like to see the main & second main lead behave like brothers for real outside the mortal realm too. They’d make a good pair of brothers…there’s potential!
Looks like moon supreme might lose his hellfire. A bit sad about that part.

But wonder why he always looks surprised that he can’t control hellfire? Doesn’t he know that recovery of his love tree will erase or weaken his ability to control hellfire? He mentioned that fact in one of the earlier episodes…

The heart curse is quite puzzling too. It seems moon supreme gets hurt when orchid gets minor injuries, but when she encounters any sort of major attacks (like villain or possessed chi di trying to strangle & suffocate her), moon supreme looks all normal & doesn’t seem to look suffocated . Or was he acting tough?
Lot of mystery here to be solved…

Even though I love the novel more, I find the drama version of the story very beautiful, entertaining, interesting so far. I can't help but love the drama version of the story too, so far.
