Some thoughts on ep 31The war, the effects, the OST EVERYTHING IS AMAZING. Thumbs up for the producer. It looks…
What I would like to know is why is Dongfang affected by Orchid's heavy injuries even when he was wearing the jade ring on the battlefield? Why does the heart curse work everytime despite the ring already being on Qingcang's finger?
The bracelet is called bone orchid. That's the bracelet made with the primordial spirit of DFQS (ep14 or 15)
Can you explain how is it possible for these immortal beings to split their primordial spirit? Won't this result in a part of their selves taken away from them?
Anime version worst, so many episodes two souls in one body 😰
Yes. The drama version of the story is different. There was no heart curse in the novel. In the novel, there's another reason why the demon lord can't kill orchid. He needs her soul to ressurect Chi Di woman so that he can avenge his defeat( later Orchid finds out how demon Lord was defeated because of some underhand tactics deployed by the hellmaster, the disciple of Chi Di Nu Zi. ) But towards the end, demon lord chooses love over his urge to settle his score with his former enemy( in order to restore his glorious reputation as undefeatable. ) When his former enemy (Chi Di Nu Zi ) realizes that demon lord's love for Orchid is really true & sincere, she indirectly helps him to ressurect her.
Also, in the novel, the demon king lost his heart. I don't remember how ( must be in the battle with Chi Di Nu Zi?). In the middle section of the novel, when both main leads are sent to a void like space by the demon lord's enemies as the demon lord takes over the demon realm via a big epic battle, it is orchid who helps him to retrieve his heart inside the void-like space. As soon as the demon lord gets back his heart, his appearance & emotions improve for the better. That's how the plot progresses in the story. The drama version is definitely different, but I like that too so far.

Had the drama followed the original plot, I would still enjoy it even more. But I like the drama version too. I like both. Come to think of it, in both the novel & the anime, only when both of them occupy the demon king's body, both of them feel truly helpless. The demon king especially becomes frustrated, and patiently learns to tolerate her. Had the body sharing episode been omitted, the demon king wouldn't have gone lenient and promised orchid not to kill her (which is against his original demonic nature) . I find body sharing more dangerous compared to the body swapping because it really makes the main leads truly helpless & frustrated. Both can't (especially the demon king) can't harm each other & need to adjust. So I think the body sharing episode is necessary in the novel because that's one of the episodes which triggers the slow transformation of the anti-hero dongfang. And because the anime follows the original plot so far, if the body sharing isn't included, the plot development won't feel right or perfect, doses of comedy scenes will be cut out.
She didn't say that because she felt insensitive towards her clan. It's just that she doesn't want to get involved…
Exactly! I'm fed up of watching that repetitive tropes. Any viewer with common sense can tell that if that happens, the other person will definitely live with regret.
But of course, there are certain sections of the audience who want that to happen , and enjoy getting tormented too much. Well, I don't have anything to say about that.

I suggest you read the novel first, and then re-watch that particular scene once more. Even though the novel is a bit different from the drama, sometimes the same events are mentioned in the drama too. Mainly the sequence of events have been mixed up in the drama. E.g, an event that takes place in the the middle half of the novel is shown to happen in the initial half of the drama
Maybe reading the novel will act as background knowledge to help you understand why orchid behaves that way in the drama version of the story.

Loved watching that scene. That was intense!

Something intense and dangerous about to happen!
The gap between the episodes is too long.

It's beautiful in it's own way.
I found the anime version so enjoyable so far!

Sometimes people can get tired of strife & conflicts. Perhaps Orchid felt that way.
