No joke!!! There's so much analysis out there, I've been reliving it since Saturday and every time it's something new!! Check out the discussion thread on drama analysis, there's a lot there 😊 cheers! There is foreshadowing from the get go on episode 1. This drama needs multiple rewatches to fully appreciate, were it not for the fact that it would gut you every time

The implication is that in the next life he would still choose to be the king, as when she asked him how would they be as commoners, he said he wouldn't know. That's why she asked him to walk past. In the end, he renounced his place and chose her, which is what she wanted.
This drama is kinda the same thing as men not giving up on one woman even tho when they are rejected so many times.…
She herself said in episode 16 she would meet him when the flowers bloomed again and everything would be okay. He did not impose this upon her, this is what she wanted. She didn't intend to keep her promise to meet her friends in the afterlife, that's why she wanted them called to her deathbed.
💯 They really banked on NGM and the veil to the detriment of this one, imo. Still, it shone so bright despite that. Says a lot for the production. Imagine how much higher the final ratings would've been had 17 not started airing at freaking 11pm+
This drama was presold to so many countries before it aired, too, you'd think they'd take all that into consideration, but because this seems to be a local fan-driven production for the blu-ray, it's very inward looking. It blows my mind thinking that just Junho alone has a huge Japanese fan base, at the very least have Japanese subs, or even Korean for hearing impaired, but nope, neither, none, nothing.
The director mentioning that they're all a bunch of cry babies on set, come on, you'd have to be made out of stone. Part of me is glad that they wrapped this up in 17, more episodes would've been more pain for them to overcome
