Together with what @LBPG said I think it was a subconscious act, she had been restraining herself all that time…
So true. Speaking to her not about wanting to instill fear and forcing her to act, but rather as a final act before his resignation, made her subconsciously drop the manipulation and self-deception (Deok Ro's words applied to her as much as they did to San!)
I want to hear everyone's opinion why she grabbed on to him and finally went to him in the end of ep 15. Why did…
I saw it as him thanking her bridged that gap, as close as it could, between the present and the past, when their feelings started to bloom. It changed the narrative from him pressuring her and her feeling like she had to dig her heels, to leveling the field as much as it could be. Their early days looked like more of a partnership than their current state, and him acknowledging her hand in his fate perhaps helped her remind herself of what was and what can be again, should she choose to go to him. My 2 cents.
I surprised myself when I started crying over hong deok ro's death scene,I was BAWLING MY EYES OUT.
honestly i think i cried the most at deok ro's death, especially him asking San not to deceive himself, and San's mother asking him to be happy. he needed to hear those words
OMG…when he told Doek-I’m to go away with him…not because he wants to live happily with her but because…
part of me hoped she would agree, since she'd been rejecting San so much anyway, it felt like she would've considered it. she was so mean to him in these two episodes!
my man junho showing how it's done with that kiss. thank you lord, if it'd been a fish kiss, i probably would've turned it off for a while, probably.
and the opening scene of 14 with the lean on his shoulder, and yet another cheek pinch, i really did throw things at my monitor. fack. the teasing had gotten to be so exhausting 😫
I hate Deok Ro but felt sad like Deok Im did when he died
i loved that she knew San would be affected by his death, too. deokro was a friend, even if he was disloyal. i love how none of the characters are perfectly black or white, they're so human
So Captain’s advice is correct. When he shows weak and pathetic, that is when Deok im accepts him?
i don't know if thanking her is weak and pathetic, but it's certainly humble. and nearing more equal footing is what she craved. this came as close as it will ever. loved it
