Her character is based around who can influence her the most.
Yeah I can see the her love for Lan Feng is sincere but I dont see the consistency when she was trying to "marry" Yuanqi OR get Yuanqi to look her way. When I think back to her actions , knowing how she feels about Lan Feng, she can still try to use her charm to charm GJ/YQ, that makes her character despicable(dislikeable to me). I don't mind anti villain or anti hero characters as long as it's done right..
What the writer did wrong in her character for me is that, they should not have wrote her trying to jump between the two guys despite she knows where her feelings and heart are. If they didn't do that, then I might have some respect for her character.
In the end the writer just made her a tragic character who could have been saved and be redeemed IF Lan Feng is alive because he's her light but her father killed the one person that light up the darkness and happiness in her.
So my verdict in her character is that, when compared to her father, she's better than him. I hate her father till the end...

They did well in explaining how YQ can come back instead of just leaving it to our imagination... Thats at least not lazy writing imo.
It's a happy ending for all characters and I'm happy for them. Happy that for all 3 pairings I shipped they got their happy ending.

I love that they put in the effort to explain how it's possible for YQ to come back and not left it to our imagination, but at the same time, I didn't feel satisfied with the ending. I honestly would be content if FY run up to YQ and they have one final hug before the end. If that happened I think it will be a nice parallel back to ALP ending IMO.
Or at least close the gap and not standing at a distance like it did in the end..

They are pretty much the same or similar... The ML dies and then the FL waits for the ML to return and they return in the very last minute.
We are lucky if we get some sort of interaction between the main cp before the credit, this is the reason why I LOVE BFTB, because if break that trend, and we got something more than today standards.
This is also why I love the epilogue to the Journey of Chongzi as well since that is all I ever asked for in a happy ending that I am content with.

I have seen a few comments in here how they say they prefer one over the other which is per preference is fine but to attack one side and point out their drama is better and the other drama sucks etc etc is really just not giving a good rep to the drama they are loving IMHO
You know if I really love a pairing chemistry and I ship them I really want them to collaborate in another drama together as a couple, but this time in a MODERN ROMANCE DRAMA instead...
Because quite honestly I lost hope in Xianxia Happy Endings that gives us a happy satisfying feeling for my favourite CP.
The only 2023 Happy ending that I accept that puts a smile on my face after seeing the ending is:

I didn't jump to the ending to see what it's like but I pretty much got spoiled in here (through comments.........) What the ending is....
Not sure how I'll feel about "the ending" but I will see when I watch that episode with full context and will comment on it when I see it... At least I'm now mentally prepared...
See... This is why I prefer Modern romance dramas since they have a more fulfilling ending than how the writers can't break their (annoying) Xianxia trend of those ending trope....
The only time I felt satisfied in 2023 Xianxia Happy Ending in today's standard is....

But she should come to realize (although love is blind), that LF would rather disappear than to become a devil. I like that the writer at least didn't destroy that part to LF, even when I didn't really care about him on my end.
