Ironically, I dropped Ancient Love Poetry, but this one has gained a special place in my heart. I'm so happy that…
Can you pin this post lol, everyone should read it 🤣🤣

I agree with everything you said here!! (Except for me I am a huge Ancient Love Poetry fan), and just like Yuan Qi's parents where they got their happy ending, both Yuan Qi and Fengyin does deserve their happy ending and much more!!

I also don't blame Yuanqi for what happened in episode 25, because he really did his very best and to be honest despite it was painfully sad, I still love how it was done in a way that makes sense and and show how much YuanQi value A-Yin's life, so honestly, I cannot blame YuanQi in that scene. I felt for both of them equally 😭😭

I didn't think I'd like this drama this much. All of us have different opinions, but it's sad that some won't…
I have to say, as much as I love Yuan Qi, but Wang An Yu way of expressing hurt and how much he misses her, especially the swollen eyes when he locked himself in his room after he though A-Yin is really gone was just... These subtle expressing along with how he conveyed it through his eyes was done so well IMO 😭😭😭

I will only feel for Yuan Qi when that time comes.

But lol, she can say Bitchcock and BitchGugu(aunt) with her words and actions and I'll be smiling.

That's the problem with YQ. His words are often in disagreement with his actions. He said that he regrets picking…
It's part of his character growth. Yuan Qi certainly had made mistakes when he is not being honest with her back then which resulted him hurting her(and it hurts him too), but with these mistakes, it leads to regret and then it will give us character developments.

I actually don't mind it as it provided the angst which leads into those emotional moments.

In the end, we are seeing their journey and growth from how it gets developed into

For those who just skip those episodes or skip the scenes will really be missing out IMO

I know that is in the novel. But I am not sure if the drama will stay true to that ending.

But I guess we will wait and see.

No but.. it makes me want to laugh🤣🤣🤣 just let the girl vent her anger
Like I said in my original comment... If you read it properly.

I said, once this is all over and she open her heart to him again... Not right away, but when that time comes

Anyways, I am not going to repeat myself again in this reply.

I understand why Feng Yin felt that way towards Yuan Qi in episode 34..... BUT.... !
after this is all over, and that she have forgiven him and open her heart to him again... Can we please get a proper wedding between them, just before the finale ...

Since, I want to see some sweet scenes between Feng Yin and Yuan Qi before he sacrifice himself...... 😭😭😭

I want this to be a happy ending!!! Both YuanQi and FengYin deserve that happy ending after everything they've been through!

2 episodes in and I just don't like the male lead, does it get better?
It gets better. It's all part of his character growth. In immortal years, I will say he's in his young teens. Not adult yet. He will mature throughout the story and after the time skip 1000 years later you will say he is in his adult stage

What you're seeing now is the events that happened 1000 years ago

I'm so glad that Yuan Qi finally found out that the one who saved him back then is Feng Yin and not that bitch!!!

And she finally met A-Yu!!! Her expression how she was so shocked and surprised to how she wanted to hug her but held back because Yuan Qi is there (to not expose her identity) was done nicely there!

I didnt watch ALP but from TLI, his parents are not together right? :')
The current time line in the Last Immortal being 1000 years later, yes Bai Jue (Yuan Qi's father) would be back, but I don't know if Yuan Qi knows or not since he hasn't taken a step into the God Realm all these years despite him already returned to being a True God, he felt reluctant to return to the God Realm since he still have unfinished business that he needs to deal with.

Sorry, when I said that on my last reply, I was referring to at the beginning before the 1000 years time skip.

Sadly no. I regret catching up to the latest episode...

who is Yihe and Dijuan? Thought Yuanqi's parents were Shang Gu & Bai Jue???
They changed the name 😒😒 which I read from people comments is due to copyright reasons. They said: "Because of Director of ALP (production house) and Producer of ALP(Ancient Love Poetry) & TLI(The Last Immortal) have broken up (affairs and divorce) during WRTW(Who rules the world). so, i don’t think producer wanted to contact them for copyright"

But in the Novel and Canon source, Yuan Qi's parents is Bai Jue and Shang Gu.

No, not exactly the same as Shang Gu, but Yuan Qi will have his own tribulation that may be similar to sacrificing himself for the three realms.... Before they get their happy ending.

It is their respective tribulation they have to go through, as True Gods.

Yuan Qi's parents is together at the end. It's a happy ending in Ancient Love poetry.

But The Last Immortal timeline takes place BEFORE Bai Jue came back after 500 years.

Bai Jue is Yuan Qi's father and he's the ML in ALP.

So the events and time line that is happening in TLI is before Bai Jue came back so in Yuan Qi's eyes, his parents isn't back together yet.

Yes, Yuan Qi certainly have made mistakes which lead to his regret, but I do think this is the fate of the god of chaos, and every True God in which they have to experience in their respective tribulation that was made for them. In my opinion, the greater the power, the greater the difficulties they must be overcome.

We have seen what his parents tribulation is like in ALP. Now it's Yuan Qi's turn.

At the end of the day, it is all part of development and character growth.

If everything went smoothly to the way fans want, there wouldn't be any angst that lead into that kind of development for Yuan Qi now.

So let's wait and see how the story unfolds in this drama before we go and judge him fully.

Thats why I said similar. Not the same.

As far as Yuan Qi goes, people really need to see it from Yuan Qi perspectives too not just A-Yin. I love A-Yin and I felt sorry for what happened to her but when Yuan Qi made the decision to destroy Ningyun Mountain, it was to shut everyone up because they weren't letting A-Yin off the hook! Nor will they even give Yuan Qi time to gather the evidence to find out what exactly happened at that moment, geez where is the respect they have for a True God here?

YQ was both physically and mentally strained considering everything that happened prior to that event when he was forced to punish A-Yin.

He didn't want to punish A-Yin, he was defending her but others still pointed fingers at her and pressuring YQ to punish her.

It was then that A-Yin decided to take the heavenly thunder. In that moment when A-Yin suggested that punishment. She knows what will happen if she were to take that punishment. Everyone at the scene knows what will happen and they didn't object to that punishment, because they didn't care what happened to A-Yin as long as she is punished BUT YQ cares! From his perspective how A-Yin said she is willing to take the heavenly thunder actually hurts him, because she's not valuing her life...

We need to cut YQ some slack here. He was both mentally and physically strained from the events prior to that scene, but he's still trying to find ways to get A-Yin out of that situation , his intention was to save her so how do you feel when he heard A-Yin said she will take the heavenly thunder? Was his strong objection and expression of hurt not tell us how he was feeling in that moment. Doesn't this already shows us how much YQ values her life?

Yuan Qi has a plan to shut everyone up. IF it weren't for what HS(peacock bitch) did to AY prior to all this than AY wouldn't have died by YQ hands...

Yes, Yuan Qi did destroy Ningyun Mountain, but he protected A-Yu, which is what A-Yin was trying to protect when she begged Yuan Qi to not destroy Ningyun Mountain, because A-Yu is being nurtured there so she can be born one day...

So in that moment, in his views, Yuan Qi only wanted to protect A-Yin from taking the heavenly thunder (which will result to her death), and then later when everyone is gone, he will explain it all to her privately (like he said in his monologue) and have that misunderstanding cleared. But he didn't know that her immortal core was destroyed so it inevitably didn't change the outcome which lead to A-Yin's death

Honestly, people need to give YQ a break in that situation... Because we can see with our own eyes that none of them was giving YQ the respect as a True God nor were they making it easy for him. In the end, if they all give YQ the respect as a True God and actually listens to him, and RESPECTS he's someone who will judge a case fairly and give him time to gather the evidence to prove A-Yin innocence, then things will really be different....

I love Bai Jue too but we need to try to understand Yuan Qi better. If you watched Ancient Love Poetry then you should know what his back story is like (but in the novel he had it more worst because he never get to have those father and son moments the way the drama depicted). So in the eyes of Yuan Qi in the novel, his father acted like he didn't love him, he had to call his mother "auntie" when she first woke up. Just when YQ found out that his father was doing all this for them, he completely lost it(in the novel). His mother could not take care for him as a result because she didn't have the heart to take care of YQ on her end.. She knelt before the ancestor god for years. For a child it really feels like she ignored him. And then he was sent to Daze Mountain for training.

So with that in mind, it isn't that Yuan Qi is aimless...Or doesn't know what he wants... It's because he knows that returning to being a True God, he's not free to protect the one he wants to protect freely like he can when he was living in Daze Mountain (with his identity hidden).

We saw how those people was like in front of True God Yuan Qi... One moment they bow to him in respect the next moment they were pressuring him in his duty of being a True God, to act like a True God and not be partial towards anyone. They all pointed fingers at A Yin and the moment YQ spoke up for her, they said he was being partial... They weren't making it easy for Yuan Qi either... that is why when you look at his upbringing and see it from his perspective,, we can perhaps understand him better and understand why he didn't want to cultivate despite he have the potential because he didn't want to return to being a True God with these heavy responsibilities on his shoulders.. And to be fair on him, Yuan Qi is yes, still young... But he's not brainless .... How he felt towards godhood stems from his childhood...

To him, being God means self-sacrifice, loneliness, and leaving loved ones behind. We cannot blame him for feeling this way since it's a part of his growth and what he was shown as a child.

But despite him feeling that way, him having his True God powers awakened, he still did his best to save A Yin in every situation ...

In the end, it didn't work out that way for YQ despite he really did his best to save A Yin because these things are inevitable and needed to happen since this is their tribulation to overcome and to kick start their character growth.

P.S. like I said, I love Bai Jue too but I don't hate Yuan Qi, as a matter of fact given with the events that panned out in episode 25-27, it really make me appreciate his character more and why he felt the way he did prior to all this... Yuan Qi is still a loveable character in my eyes
