can someone recommend a good Chinese drama for me….
Xianxia: - Back from the Brink - Ancient Love Poetry - Love you seven times - The Journey of Chongzi - Song of the Moon - The Untamed - Word of Honour - Eternal love of dream - The Blue Whisper - Ten Miles Peach Blossom
Modern - Hidden Love - A river runs through it - Love is Sweet
It is almost like a parallel in terms of the character relationships.
Bai Jue = Yuan Qi Shang Gu = A-Yin Tian Qi = Hong Yi Yue Mi = Yan Shaung.
- Bai Jue and Shang Gu both love each other, just like Yuan Qi and A-Yin.
- Tian Qi loves Shang Gu, being one sided, just like how Hong Yi is towards A-Yin.
- Bai Jue was also shown to be jealous of Tian Qi , just like Yuan Qi was towards Hong Yi.
Yue Mi and Shang Gu are best friends just like A-Yin and Yan Shuang is now.
Yue Mi loves Tian Qi, being one sided, even when she knows that Tian Qi loves Shang Gu, she still care for Shang Gu just the same. I get the same vibe when it comes to how Yan Shuang feels towards this situation as well(in TLI)
The only difference here is that unlike ALP, Tian Qi regretted and was too late to return Yue Mi's feelings ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ but at least there's hope in TLI because I felt like Hong Yi is opening up to Yan Shuang feelings (according to episode 33 trailer).
Another thing i want to point out is LETS all take a step back and see ourselves in Yuan Qi's shoes. Ur whole…
Yes, people really need to see it from YQ perspectives too not just AY. I love AY and I felt sorry for what happened to her but when YQ made the decision to destroy Ningyun Mountain, it was to shut everyone up because they weren't letting AY off the hook! Nor will they even give YQ time to gather the evidence to find out what exactly happened at that moment, geez where is the respect they have for a TRUE GOD?
YQ was both physically and mentally strained and he didn't and couldn't let AY take the heavenly thunder as punishment because he knows that she will die from it... Everyone at the scene knows but they don't care as long as she is punished BUT YQ cares! From his perspective how AY said she is willing to take the heavenly thunder actually hurts him, because she's not valuing her life.... like, for YQ, he's thinking of a way to save her but she is just throwing her life away by agreeing to the heavenly thunder despite YQ strongly objects to that punishment... Doesn't this already shows us how much YQ values her life?
YQ did destroy Ningyun Mountain, but he protected A-Yu, which is what A-Yin was trying to protect when she begged YQ to not destroy Ningyun Mountain, because A-Yu is being nurtured there so she can be born one day...
So in that moment, in his views, YQ only wanted to protect A-Yin from taking the heavenly thunder (which will result to her death), and then later when everyone is gone, he will explain it all to her privately (so she understands). But he didn't know that her immortal core was destroyed so it inevitably didn't change the outcome which lead to A-Yin's death
Honestly, people need to give YQ a break in that situation... Because we can see with our own eyes that none of them was giving YQ the respect as a True God nor were they making it easy for him. In the end, if they all give YQ the respect as a True God and actually listens to him, and RESPECTS he's someone who will judge a case fairly and give him time to gather the evidence to prove AY innocence, then things will really be different....
But if that was the case then we won't be getting the angst that leads into their developments that we are getting now.
I also don't hate YQ, I actually felt sorry for him and it is sad to see some people in here who said they don't want a happy ending for them.... For me, I still do, after he earned FY forgiveness that is.
Yuan Qi didn't do anything unforgivable in my eyes. He does deserve Feng Yin's love at the end and they deserve to be happy and get their happy ending!
I know we all kinda hope that yuan qi would hv stood up for a yin and protected her in front of all the immortals…
I actually appreciate what happened in episode 25, because as much as it hurts, I felt that scene was really emotional to kick start their character development respectively and the developments on this pairing and YQ's redemption arc for AY.
In my eyes, YQ did what he have to, to protect AY, he's not unforgivable to me but yeah this is their growth and to build on them stronger in the long run.
It is also through this developments right now and the direction it is going. I came to like YQ and AY better than when I first started.
I want yuan qi to be strong and shut those people mouth who talks nonsense like feng yin did to hua shu.. More…
That's the problem... They don't give True God the respect they deserve...
One moment you have them bow to YQ because they have to... The next they speak nonsense in front of YQ the moment he was shown to speak up for A-Yin....
So the only way YQ knows how to shut them all up is to use his own method to protect her by (1) telling her to stay out of the matters involving the current case so it won't give those people a chance to point fingers at her. But that didn't work, because she still got involved in it on her end since she can't sit by and do nothing , so when she is being labelled as the culprit, people weren't letting her off... As soon as YQ spoke up for AY, they all implied that he weren't being fair and he was being partial. There was no respect when they were all pressuring YQ to punish her and judge the case fairly...
AY didn't want to make it hard for YQ where she decided to take the heavenly thunder even when she knows she will die from it...
YQ was hurt when she said that because she didn't value her life and can just throw away just like that.... YQ didn't want to kill her at all...But to shut them all up, he have to still punish her by suggesting his method, which he meant no harm as he was going to explain all this to her when everyone left but it didn't go according to plan due to what HS did to her earlier....
In the end, if they all give YQ the respect as a True God and actually listens to him, and RESPECTS he's someone who will judge a case fairly and give him time to gather the evidence to prove AY innocence, then things will really be different....But then we probably will not have the developments and built up that we have now.
Sometimes, actually scrub that, at most times I wish people will see things from both sides perspectives, not just one.
This way, it will be easier to understand what the characters is going through and why they did what they did.
Even when we may not agree it is the best way to go about doing it in certain actions. But at least we can understand from that character views, right?
Given Yuan Qi's backstory, I can understand why he didn't want to take that responsibility to being a True God after watching episode 25 that really comented my feelings, because given how those stupid immortals who played a role to want A-Yin taking the heavenly thunder, when they know it will ultimately kill her, they really don't give True God the respect that a True God deserves. If Yuan Qi is partial with helping A-Yin and not punish her, everyone there including the instigator will just make it worst...
Of course how nice it would be for Yuan Qi to use his true god status to silent everyone...But sadly that is not how it works...
Being a true god really does take away that freedom....
That is why, Yuan Qi didn't want to embrace that side to him, because he knows that this will eventually be the case, if he returned to being one.
Did anyone notice the similarity of YQ to BJ in ALP in terms of how they were the ones that pushed their love…
For BJ sake, he didn't know that Shang Gu fate was to sacrifice herself. None of them knew at first. When BJ found out, his whole intention was to protect her from going through with it. And he even wanted to replace her and be the one to go through with it.
But in this world setting, everything happened for a reason. It feels like each one of them have to undergo their own tribulation that is set/destined for them, but their decisions is entirely up to them, whether they pass or fail in the end.
gu jin breaking their affection ties? i can understandyuan qi saying the ayin is a mere passerby? i can forgive……
From A-Yin's perspective, Yuan Qi destroying Ningyun Mountain was worst than her accepting the heavenly thunder and dying... Since yes, we know how important it is to her. But what she value the most is not Ningyun Mountain itself, but her sister A-Yu which was placed in Ningyun Mountain to nurture her to finally be born. A-Yu being hatched from the egg was the moment she was waiting on. She was relying on the help of Ningyun Mountain to help her baby sister from hatching.
Yuan Qi understood how much A-Yu meant to A-Yin, so him destroying Ningyun Mountain was just a compromise to save A-Yin from going through the heavenly thunder and it ending her life. We now know that A-Yu is saved and Yuan Qi most likely have done something to ensure she is protected but A-Yin didn't know what he did.
Yuan Qi have plans to explain it all to A-Yin after everyone left, but none of this goes to his favour thanks to Bitchcock and her father...
Now, in Yuan Qi's eyes, and to be fair on him, he didn't know that A-Yin immortal core was destroyed so when he used his spiritual sword, his intentions was to save her life(and explain everything to her later once everyone left), to Yuan Qi, he was only going to seal her immortal bones, not kill her.
Yes, Ningyun Mountain is no more, but A-Yu is not dead. This was something Yuan Qi have plans to tell her, like what he said in his monologue, IF everything went according to his plan, but sadly it didn't.
At first I felt the same about Yuan Qi deserving to suffer hard for what happened since I felt sorry for A-Yin, but after knowing that A-Yu is still alive, I couldn't blame him for what he did since it was his way to save A-Yin from taking the heavenly thunder.
Because Yuan Qi sacrificed his God Spirit to try to revive/save A-Yin soul. His Sword Spirit already said it... That if he do that, he will eventually die.... But despite knowing the consequences he still didn't give up and used his every being trying to save/revive A-Yin on his end.
His hand fading is the first sign to show that he's slowly dying.... 😢
Episode 27 makes me feel sorry for Yuan Qi 😥😥
I like A-Yu, but I hope she won't develop any crush on Yuan Qi and become a LT, that would be annoying, and we have enough problems right now lol.
But I got to say that I love how Feng Yin awaken, too bad they skipped the revelation on how A-Yu was saved back then. Maybe this will be revealed later!
Most people say there is no need to watch ALP, but I think differently. Yes, the series does not proceed as a…
TOTALLY AGREE TO THIS!!! People need to watch Ancient Love Poetry to understand the backstory to the characters and what happened, which is linked to Yuan Qi's backstory and who he is today.
Those who say "You don't need to watch Ancient Love Poetry" is really making the viewers miss out on such a Great Story in Ancient Love Poetry IMO
Honestly, 49 Episodes isn't a lot in ALP, by the end of the drama, I wish there was MORE episodes to be honest...
I think it was more to respect A-Yin's wishes, since before she die, she said she doesn't want to see him anymore.
It takes place before the opening scene in episode 1, but what I was referring to when I said the Nether King didnt reveal the truth about A-Yin soul fragment is because he was respecting A-Yin wishes before she "died" by Yuan Qi spirit sword. She said she didn't want to see him again , that's why the Nether King was hiding the truth about A-Yin soul fragment.
It was my take on the situation and why the Nether King did it

I don't mind misunderstanding if it leads to development and it being cleared later.
Misunderstand is better than betrayal (unfaithfulness) IMO

Because totally off topic, that's how I felt in TTEOTM because in my eyes, ML deserves better....
But in this drama, YQ and FY deserves their happy ending in the end, after YQ earn FY forgiveness that is.
In my eyes, YQ did what he have to, to protect AY, he's not unforgivable to me but yeah this is their growth and to build on them stronger in the long run.

I actually made a thread in here earlier today as I was thinking about this whole tribulation and responsibility in their roles as characters https://kisskh.at/discussions/shen-yin/122079-responsibilities-of-being-a-true-god-and-tribulations-in-the-world-setting-to-alp-and-tli (but that's how I personally see it).
