Zhuo Hao was under house arrest for the 3 years.Qin Ke was worried about his reputation and leader position if…
It was stated by Yunji that it's best to not see Cong Zi during these times, because seeing her, can stimulate his desire he has for Cong Zi.
Just like how you see in that scene when he was in a meditating state to cure his heart poison and trying to master the heart mirror spell but when Cong Zi came in to see him, he can't control himself where his heart poison (which stems from his desire for her) activates.
So him not seeing her comes from several reasons put together (1) Mu Yu did add to the point when he said to him the more he shows his affection and protection for Cong Zi in front of his shixiong, the more Cong Zi will be targeted. Honestly I didn't like what Mu Yu said to Yin Fan (even when he does have a point since it was manipulative which lead to his plan to create that misunderstanding between them ), but from Yin Fan eyes, he did see a point in this because what Mu Yu said somewhat does hold some truth as well... So he thought that not seeing her during this time was his way to protect her from them (2) In his eyes, he had it all planned where Cong Zi is sealed and is in a deep sleep where it was stated that she will fall into a painLESS dream and he also set up that barrier to protect her from it inside that barrier (of course this can be an inconsistency here if his barrier can be broken off by a low rank immortal, we can blame the script writers for that... But I see it more as that have to happen because they need to push her down that path).
This is also the reason why I believe that Yin Fan didn't want to take the antidote pill to cure him of his heart poison.. some may see that as his stupidity, but for me, I see it that is because as he said, Cong Zi is going through and is suffering more than him, so to him, he didn't want her to suffer in this process alone, in other words, he is willing to suffer or go through this suffering during this time with her. I actually find that romantic to be honest.
The reason why he hasn't perfected the heart mirror skill in these 3 years yet, he did say that in these 3 years he haven't stopped thinking about her in every moment, so my guess is that when his mind has her , he can't calm his heart in thinking about her, so it is hard for him to concentrate and perfect the heart mirror spell , because he's affected by the heart poison on his end (my guess anyways from what I've gathered).
I know it is OOC that he doesn't go see her or keep tabs on her to ensure if anything happens to her he can go to her but then if he did , we probably wouldn't have Cong Zi walked down that path that she did. So him not seeing her , not knowing any of this is the only way for Cong Zi to embrace her demonic side due to the misunderstanding where she thinks her Shi Fu doesn't care for her at all. As a fan I honestly wish it was done differently in this but from looking at that angle I get why it needed to happen like that.
At least Yin Fan had shown me that he had tried to protect her the best he could. At least he had showed me that it is still within his personality that if he knew all this had happened to her in these 3 years he wouldn't have let it happened to her at all.
"He confessed to her every three years and his heart hurts too" <- I think that is referencing to his feelings how he knows that she is trapped in the ice prison waiting for him and yet he have not yet master the heart mirror spell yet, so he can't go see her yet. Since before he left her in the deep sleep state, what he said to her implied that when she wakes up, the one she will see is him(but the him who is stronger enough to protect her from her evil energy) <-- how I interpret it anyways.
It was also stated that once he master the heart mirror spell than he will be able to cure his heart poison as well.
Under normal circumstances, it will be "either you kill me, or I kill you"
But when Chong Zi said to Yin Fan "either you kill me, or we die together".
I don't know about anyone but for me when Chong Zi(Demon Zi) said that about dying together is rather subtly romantic to me.. (just saying), just something I picked up when watching that episode again.
Of course not saying I want a sad ending since I still root for a happy ending where they can live and be happy together (after everything they been through)!!
The way they whitewashed LYF, I can`t seem to hate him for so long. I`m upset at his stupidity and indecisiveness…
"The novel version deserves all the grief but the drama LYF does not. " <- you said it so well here.
Although I have yet to read the novel but I got spoiled what he's like.
I just am tired and don't want to see him suffer so much. I want to see him and CZ happy. Away from those hypocritical immortals. Just live a secluded life away and be happy!
I feel most sorry for the actors who had to put up with such badly written roles that make them look stupid.
Tbh, I only watched Song of the Moon for the main pairing, ML(Luo Ge), FL(Liu Shao) and SML(He Na), because I've come to love them so much. But I do agree that the ending to Song of the Moon was unsatisfying.
I wish they stick to the novel to be honest because the novel did a better job in exploring God of Moon back story where he's more of a Grey character and I love that better.
Ending in the novel was more satisfying as well...
I felt like when CZ goes dark and joined the dark side when she asked Yin Fan to go to her side...
Yin Fan didn't outright reject her... He was hesitating on his end... If only he didn't carry that responsibility of being the chief of the immortal clan, I think he would... God how I wish he will just go over to CZ side, because those immortals don't deserve to be protected....
Min Yunzhong deserves to go to hell! Ting Xue bitch should go to hell as well!!!
Yu Du(is that his name), well he's better than his faggot Shixiong at least....So at this stage I don't particularly have anything against him but let's wait and see how it will play out later.
I love both trailer to episode 31 and 32!!!I wanted Yin Fan to retire from that position for so long because it's…
Urgh they better give me a happy ending... One that makes sense since we deserve that after all their suffering..I am hoping that the ending scene where it's shown them happily together is their ending so hope they will put that in...
I feel most sorry for the actors who had to put up with such badly written roles that make them look stupid.
I was so mad with the editing in Song of the Moon since I know they cut out some of my favourite scenes... So knowing this I can relate to it in this drama as well... Sad really that the actors put effort into filming it but then didn't make it to the aired version..It's an insult to the actors to be honest so I can never blame the actors just the person who deleted it! (Of course the screenwriter too if it's questionable).
I feel most sorry for the actors who had to put up with such badly written roles that make them look stupid.
Or to have their favourite scenes or scenes they put effort into acting but got removed or deleted in the editing process.... Sometimes these I blame the editing process not the script itself. They can film those scenes but when it gets deleted in the final edit thats the person who deleted it fault...
Ep: 31-32 trailers:Gooooo LYF get your bride back!! That's the spirit!!Lol he's gonna retire from the industry…
I love both trailer to episode 31 and 32!!!
I wanted Yin Fan to retire from that position for so long because it's been tying him down. I like that decision he made but judging by what you said... I don't think I am ready for the sad part :(
That part when Yin Fan comes and snatch the bride away is so epic haha. I enjoy those scenes where he's drinking vinegar, those are enjoyable to me lol
Argh that damn bastard old fart shixiong just created another misunderstanding!!!! (Seriously these misunderstanding just keep piling on top of each other.....)
And I'm here waiting for the time these misunderstanding is being cleared up!! I hope Yin Fan finds out what that bastard of his shixiong did to Starlight!
P.S. honestly I did feel sorry for both Yin Fan and Chong Zi respectively.
About how Yin Fan threw away the antidote to cure his heart poison, maybe I am considered a minority in here but I kinda understand why he did it.
I mean it clearly hurts Yin Fan to have to sealed her internal organs inside the the ice prison so his reasoning was "If Congzi is suffering, he didn't want to take the easy way out by drinking the antidote", in other words he doesn't want her to suffer alone, and he's willing to suffer alongside her in this process.
It was also said that once he mastered the heart mirror spell, his heart poison should be cured (if there's no pothole there from the script writers) then that should be the answer.
I don't necessarily mind what it was shown for me in that scene because, I see that Yin Fan is willing to suffer or feel that suffering alongside Congzi because she had it worst, so that revelation is kinda romantic to me if looking at it in that sense.
Although Mu Yu has a point but he really should not have said that to Yin Fan.... Which lead to him keeping his distance to protect Chong Zi...
And if he knew the truth, he should have told Chong Zi when he had the chance the reason why Yin Fan didn't send her off to the Ice Prison...
God I am so annoyed... But I know it was the screen writer way to build on that misunderstanding but that misunderstanding can be so easily avoided!!
I do like Mu Yu (even though I don't ship him and Cong Zi), but it does also felt like he's manipulating the scene to ensure they (demon clan) get that end result that they desired.....
Just like how you see in that scene when he was in a meditating state to cure his heart poison and trying to master the heart mirror spell but when Cong Zi came in to see him, he can't control himself where his heart poison (which stems from his desire for her) activates.

But I guess we will have to wait and see.
I am glad to know that novel Luo Ge is the descendent of LYF and CZ since in the canon verse they did get marry and have children!
I wanted Yin Fan to retire from that position for so long because it's been tying him down. I like that decision he made but judging by what you said... I don't think I am ready for the sad part :(
