I was just watching someone put a clip together on him, and then I don't know why I suddenly felt like he hold some relation to Yue (God of Moon) - Fly to the Moon Novel sequel lol where he's the ML in that one.
I mean they both have the word 月(Moon) in their name and both their goal is similar(reviving/saving the demon race. So I suddenly had that thought lol.
I like what Zhuo Hao said to Congzi that his bottom line is that she should at least marry someone she loves (Luo Yin Fan)

I like to think that Mu Yu genuinely cares for Congzi without any ulterior motives or any brainwashing (I like to see him more like how he's like Senior Mu back then )

For me it's not that painful where the main pairing is concerned. It's rare that you get a pairing that have mutual trust and understanding for each other. I love how they (Luo Ge and Liu Shao) is always together
I love He Na too and wish he had a happier ending there.

Same! Before they do it on a drama they don't like think of karma as it will get back to them in the end. You personally wouldn't want people to do the same on the drama you like just for the sake of spreading hate repeatedly on a drama they already dropped..

Sometimes I find that people need to pay attention to subtleties or micro expressions or something. I guess whether they feel chemistry between a pair is subjective. For me I do feel the chemistry between Yin Fan and Cong Zi and how much they both do love each other. That is evident for me just the way they look at at each (and is around each other as well).
Even his two shixiong said that how Yin Fan is around Cong Zi already pass that boundary of how a master should treat their disciple.
Wan Jie and Cong Zi to me felt more platonic like a family instead of romantic especially when Wan Jie already have someone he loves.
Honestly this drama isn't for everyone and while I DO understand that some parts can be better written with care (like some say about the 3 years part, which I agree, the script writers can do it better than what we were given) but I'm holding onto continuing this drama until the end before I give an actual rating.
If you don't like the drama or story direction, you can drop the drama, no one is forcing you to watch something you don't enjoy. For people who had already dropped this drama, there's no point coming in here to repeatedly comment about this drama that you already dropped . Yeah we get your point on why you don't like it. You are free to not like something since we all have different preferences or acceptance to something or liking a character even.
For me, I STILL LOVE DRAMA Luo Yin Fan and Cong Zi on my end, despite how some of the people in here whine or trash talk about them.
7.6, 7.7, 7.8... I don't care anymore. For me, this drama deserves a solid 8 at least. Because I've seen dramas that is much worst than this one that got over the rating of 8 in MDL.

I didn't googled it but Amy explained it further down the comments that they are related. The journey of congzi takes place around 3-4 generations before Song of the Moon novel. Luo Ge and Luo Ning are both descendants to Luo Yin Fan and Cong Zi, around 3-4 generations later.
So the world building is connected.
P.S. I didn't know they were related when I first started Journey of Congzi, only was told later and then that kinda make sense looking at these subtle hints there.
And in the Novel Yue/God of Moon (ML) wants to revive the demon race(novel) which is similar to what Wan Yue wanted to on his end(what I got from the drama), same end goal but different paths to get there.
Novel Yue(God of Moon) is not the same portrayal as the drama version(Song of the Moon).
There are some annoying scenes, but there's also some nice scenes as well.
Oh you are still at episode 25? Sorry I thought you're all caught up haha. I don't know if you will consider them as nice scenes since everyone is different. I was just referring throughout those 8 episodes from episode 20 there are some nice scenes for me.

Just watched episode 33 and 34 trailer... What happened that make Yin Fan break his promise with Cong Zi?! 😩😩 I just hope this time there's a good explanation behind this! 😖😖

I don't mind angst if it leads to a touching moment... But yeah during those angsty times sure isn't nice(kinda make me want to press it fast lol).
We need a happy ending!!!! And those happy moments between our favourite main pair to make up for these angsty moments!
Trailers does make me anxious indeed but then I want to see what the next episode is like so I can be mentally prepared for it 😅
