It is not hard to understand that Chi Cheng didn't tell WSW because he didn't want WSW to overthink this.

I get why he didn't tell WSW but I too wish he had told WSW what's on his mind, because communication is the key.

This is why I didn't want to read the novel because honestly with some of the parts I've read, I already prefer the characters and change better in the drama.

I can see why CJD urge the viewers to not read the novel but watch the drama instead, so hopefully that part will not be like the novel and that CC makes it clear that he only loves WSW on his end in the drama, even if WSW had to misunderstand on his side..

That would also explain why he didn't want Wang Shuo to leave and arranged them to meet up because he wanted Chi Cheng to find out the truth from Wang Shuo.

To also prove his innocence from back then.

And it was clearly obvious that when GCY said to Wang Shuo that nothing has changed between them (CC and GCY), and that they are still as close as before was his way to piss Wang Shuo off.

So he probably had a hidden agenda when he did that.

I just hope that part about him not being able to say it was changed in the drama for the better...

Because honestly, the drama have done a good job so far in fixing those things in the novel that is not appealing

No Wang Shuo liked Chi Cheng.
But Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu were very close back then, that whenever he is with Wang Shuo he will bring up his bestie Guo Cheng Yu.

Wang Shuo got jealous of their bond and closeness so he fabricated a lie and made it look like he(Wang Shuo) and Guo Zheng Yu slept together, so he can break that bond between them(Chi Cheng and Guo Cheng Yu)

That is why Chi Cheng said to WSW on his birthday when he was drunk that if it weren't for Wang Shuo, he and GCY will not be like this now(like enemies or something)

What Chi Cheng minded the most was him finding out all this happening behind his back, hurt by the two people he cared about(a lie fabricated by Wang Shuo), and Wang Shuo running off without giving him an explaination, so he minded this incident the most. He no longer have feelings for Wang Shuo since he has moved on, but a part of him cannot let go of what happend back then because that incident had caused a rift with his childhood friend, GCY.

If anything, I think the reason CC minded what happened is because he actually cared for the bond and his childhood friend but because of this incident it had destroyed that bond he cherish on his side. That is why he wanted to seek out the truth from Wang Shuo.

I don't know if he meant it but I was like "just leave secretly then!" without CC knowing

I mean he did said he had been back for quite some time now and he hasn't met up with CC so I don't think he would go to him without the help of GCY arranging it on his side to make it possible...

I bet they both did that to piss Wang Shuo off since GCY obviously did that with that intention to show Wang Shuo that no matter what happened back then nothing has changed between them(CC and GCY)

The more I think about it, the more I felt that while it is true that Chi Cheng has moved on, but he hasn't completely moved on in that sense.

I felt like if Wang Shuo never showed up again, Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei will continue this bliss and be happy for the rest of their life(since their happiness is with each other), one less angst to worry about.

But, just like what Chi Cheng had explained to Wu Suo Wei in episode 12, that what he minded was the situation(incident) that happened back then. Not Wang Shuo.

If Wang Shuo didn't return, Chi Cheng wouldn't seek out the truth on his side. But since he returned, he wanted to find out what really happened back then since that is the final knot (because he was kept in the dark) that have been holding him back all this time. He wanted an answer so he can finally have a closure to this incident.

When he finally got the truth, this will be when he can finally move on completely without being tied back to how he feel about that incident back then. What happened back then had caused a rift between him and GCY and I think that is the real reason why he can't let go of and why he wanted to find closure to that incident, he minded that incident, not because he still have feelings for Wang Shuo(because he had moved on from him) but because of what happened, it had caused a rift between him and his childhood friend, GCY.

He is over Wang Shuo, as in he doesn't have feelings for him anymore, but what he can't get over is the incident that happened back then, which he had explained to WSW in the prev episode.

I don't believe CC will cheat. But Wang Shuo will definitely do something to make WSW misunderstood that CC still have feelings for him...

I am still pissed that GCY was the reason to arrange them meeting up, but I like to give him that benefit of the doubt that he did it ultimately for Chi Cheng to get closure and finally move on since he is clearly still affected by that 'incident' from back then...

It is only when he no longer care about that incident is when he is finally, finally moved on.

I believe Chi Cheng is faithful towards WSW but during this time, the angst is not going to be fun...

I dont think next week is going to be fun..... but I rather just get this over and done with.. 😭😭💔💔

It isn't much but the part when CC covered WSW ears because of the loud noise of the fireworks was really sweet

He certainly went about it in a terrible way, thats for sure.

Well I hope that to be the case because if not I am not going to like it if he did it just to tease CC.

Despite I don't like that he arranged it... but the rational side to me think that maybe (and hope what you said is true), since it is the only way to finally move on from their past and have his name cleared.

And in order for that to happen is to find the root of the cause and confront it etc.

If it was his way of teasing CC about this, I will be disappointed because I always felt deep down and believed he cared for Chi Cheng even when he doesn't admit it. But his actions when he arranged them to meet up despite he know how Chi Cheng feels just really deducted points from his character for me and it really annoyed me.

I don't see it similar to the snake situation since for the snake part, I see he just competes with CC in this emotional journey because he was sad and alone and it was his way to accompany him.

But Wang Shuo? Despite he knows CC loves WSW and what he did when he arranged that will become a catalyst that cause a rift and misunderstanding between WSW and CC because he made it possible by getting CC to meet up with Wang Shuo instead of doing what a good friend would do and advise Wang Shuo to give up and leave...

I actually had a hunch when Chi Cheng said that he bought the shirt for his mother, when he gifted Wu Suo Wei the new shirt (in ep 12), was referring to Wu Ma(Wu Suo Wei's mother) and I am just happy that it was confirmed that is the case. It was so sweet how he actually sees Wu Ma as his mother too(they're a family), much closer than his(CC) own family which you can see the difference between how he feels when he had dinner with his family vs WSW's family.

I am kinda pissed at that!! Its like he earned points for me at the beginning but then deducted alot in the later half from what he showed me... I felt like if he cared for Chi Cheng, he would just advise Wang Shuo to leave since Chi Cheng had moved on... he know what will make Chi Cheng feel if he sees Wang Shuo again. I really don't get the purpose why he did it on my side.. or someone can enlighten me here because I'm not happy at him about that 😭 lol

Like, I love him for what he did behind the scenes to help clear JXS name (from the past) and punish that bastard Meng Tao...I was actually really touched at that scene and found him cool for doing all that for JXS since he cared..

But at the same time, I didn't like that he was the reason that got Chi Cheng and Wang Shuo to meet up... When Wang Shuo said he will leave in a couple of days and he had no plans to see Chi Cheng, I am like "thank god, just leave quietly and don't come back", but when Guo Chengyu said that to him, he kinda in a way spoke through his(Wang Shuo) heart that in a way made him 'rethink' it... I am just like "Why?!".

I know this arc angst is inevitable, and I was prepared for it, but I wish it was not at the expense of having Guo Chengyu being the catalyst to bring them into meeting again by arranging this if that makes sense. I prefer it was Chi Cheng meeting him by chance, and not because of the arrangement of Guo Chengyu (im still iffy about that.. )

So this is why I have mix feelings for him in this episode. Love what I saw when it comes to his actions for JXS, but I didn't like it when he was the reason to give Wang Shuo a chance to meet Chi Cheng again... Urgh....

I have mixed feelings for Guo Chengyu in this episode....

I just found that out a while back and it made me love TXN even more for it since He Xuan is my fav character in HOB
