You know despite my gripe at how this was a 33 minutes episode (since I still wish it was a full 45 minute episode), I am still surprised they managed to give us so much in the span of 33 minutes.
I am glad to have people like you to talk to since it makes me focus what I love in this episode 😌
I think it probably works out for the best for those who didn't like Chi Cheng at the beginning, since I also have seen some started loving his character in the later half of the story after the WS arc was concluded.
Although I have always loved Chi Cheng at the beginning, I am glad we also get to see this other side to him to show his growth in his character and I felt that him wearing white is a good symbolism like you said that the sun has risen on his side and their future together will be much happier and brighter than before 😭😭😭😍😍😍
Maybe they got sanctioned. Potentially the reason why they even fast tracked the release.

And the way Chi Cheng said he wanted Dou Dou to sleep on the outside and Wei Wei in the middle because he wanted to hug Wei Wei to sleep was ahahahaha who does that, none other than Chi Cheng!! And then it was hilarious how Wei Wei replied Chi Cheng and said he can skip the hug tonight and when Chi Cheng sulked on his side was so adorable because he couldn't win against Wei Wei so he ended up giving into Wei Wei so he can hug Wei Wei to sleep despite Dou Dou was still stuck in the middle 🤣🤣🤣
That is one of my fav scene in the finale..so heart-warming despite Chi Cheng was jealous of Dou Dou, that he meant it when he said he will send Dou Dou back to his sister 🤣🤣🤣

You know, I have to agree to this since I felt that contrast too between them. The finale after they got back together really felt like their relationship has changed.
If I have to say as a comparison, then the beginning is fiery passion between the two, whereas the latter half is more passion but in a more silent or gentle manner where it is left offscreen(not for viewers).
Their chemistry never diminished for me, it has always been there that is why I will always love TianZiyu chemistry as ChengWei but a part of me still miss and wanted to see that fiery passion like how they were seen in the beginning if that makes sense. Maybe it is like you said it was intentional..

U know X is pretty crazy at the moment with all the rumours about CJD removing those ChengWei scenes towards the finale..which people is bringing to from Weibo.
I honestly didn't want to believe the rumour. That is why I personally wanted her to prove to everyone who criticised her, that they are wrong.
It makes no sense if they start removing scenes to protect the actors as an excuse because they already filmed those scenes in the earlier episodes and they were quite daring. Now it is at the end, it shouldn't really affect the series anyways...
Even Cheng Yu and Xiao Shuai get to have their certificate towards the finale and they get to share one last kiss together but I guess the reason I want one so badly not only because I felt like it would be a nice way to wrap up as a finale but also a part of me didn't want to believe in those rumours about CJD on my side...

Depending on how they handled the jail arc and the ending.. I guess we will see in the final episode. I too like to believe in the drama that we will be given an ending that wraps up the story and finale in a happy satisfying way but I am still nervous because I know my overall enjoyment will subconsciously affect me if the duration of the final episode is shortened again.... we need 50+ minutes!!
We just have so many things to wrap and I really don't want it to be a rushed ending because ChengWei deserves their happy satisfying ending in the end!!
