Love and Destiny was pretty solid. Love the leads as well as the side characters, However, the mortal arc dragged so bad, I started fast forwarding. This is probably one f the reasons I appreciate them putting a cap on the number of episodes that air. Most of these shows such the life out of you with repetitive plot points.

Ashaes of Love is still my top Xianxia. TMOPB is closely second...God, I love Yehua's hair even though he annoyed me at one point. ALP was annoying with the whole noble idiocy, but it is still up there. Have other complaints, though. I didn't watch IS. The PLOT, TRAILER, AND CLIPS online did not move me at all.

HAHAHA... They are actually quite good. You just have to steel yourself.

This is what I am asking myself, 'what are they complaining about?' It just doesn't make sense at all.

Pretty mild. Do you know how the other shows would have milked the amnesia arc? How many times did the FL of Love and Redemption call Xue Feng, only for her to believe the bad guys each time? Or my babe Jinmi creating one hell of a mess by killing Phoenix lord, which she had to pay for with something important. There were so many. Sometimes I sit and wonder how I even was able to stomach so much brutality from the heavenly realm (they are always the bad guys). and was still able to watch more.

It is rare. Most times they air only after the drama finishes with a successful run like Hidden Love. They were pretty smart collaborating with Netflix, tbh. It will bring the drama to the eyes of people who only just want to use Netflix.

It is a human world within that same series like we have the heaven above, we the humans, and the demons in the underworld. So the mortal world is the human world but it is usually set in the ancient time period.

Moonlit Reunion was unwatchable for me. The moment I saw Xu Kai as the Ml, I was worried since he has not picked any good project in a while. And they proved me right. I see clips of MR and Shadow Love, which is also airing around this period, and SL seems more watchable. All the clips I have seen of MR have not been able to convince me that it is good. Worse part, I heard it is written by the same author as WDBTD.

Found out online that they are suppressing the ratings, even the heat index to sabotage WDBTD, but it is doing well, despite that.

The way I roll my eyes whenever I see their rants. Some don't sound genuine and need a reason to hate, since the drama is doing well. They already grasp an avenue to show their hate. Some are new to Xianxia and do not understand the formula is blood, tears, and knives. They just want romance and probably got spoiled by the earlier episodes. Now, they are sulking. While others are novel readers who can't understand that everything can not follow the novel 100%.

Regardless of the category, they are all annoying.

As of the latest episode, she hasn't. Though she realizes she is the one he loves in EP 24 even after some tampering as done when they enter her aunt's soul manor. In that same episode, she is back to being close to him since she entered her own soul manor and found traces of him, as well as their love there. They went back to being lovey-dovey even without her memories, and EP 25 and beginning of 26 is so swoon-worthy. She even asked Sima why he didn't restore his memory since he has the power to, and he told her he wanted her to do it at her pace. That convo touched me. The whole thing is the perfect depiction of their love. You need to see Sima Jiao's smile.

I have just been rolling my eyes reading their comments since this demon arc started. Like what would they do if they watch Love and Redemption, Ashes of Love, Ancient Love Poetry, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, Love and Destiny. Those ones didn’t just stab the characters hearts but ours too.

This arc does not surprise me cos I have been schooled in the Xianxia academy. I am glad we got it and happy with how they navigated conflicts.

Remember how Ruling always mention that she has cold constitution? Or when a fish circled around LTY when she first entered SJ's soul manor to gather the fragment of his soul? Her original form is frosted fish. She was created by the demons. She was initially sent as an assassin to kill SJ, since her cold nature counters his fire nature. Remember when he kept asking when she was going to kill him and now is the time to kill him? See the episode where You Chi was telling the Preceptor that he did everything to create her. There was also her handler Yuan Shan, the ex-boyfriend, who was meant to keep her in check. I think the poison took her life and LTY was able to enter her body. Oh…she was the one Feng Qi keeps talking about cos she saved him.

Shi Qianlv has also been cleaning her marrow to awaken her real form. I think the demon people will partner with SQL, and succeed in episode 26 seeing how she woke up. And seeing how robotic she looked, it will definitely be a 'see and kill' situation. Then, she will come to the realization after she overcomes it to become LTY in episode 27.

Watching episode 24 right now and Sima Jiao looks thinner. The stress of thinking and the rejection has made him lose so much weight. I don't know if it was intentional, but I love that detail. Ohhh...CFY is acting like rent is due, cos I am not supposed to feel this sad for a character.

If they follow the novel, which they are, it would be the mortal arc. There is no modern arch in the novel too. And if we follow Xianxia formula, mortal arc can not be overlooked cos...three worlds, three lives.

Yes...that lead to censorship of anything reincarnation or transmigration. The industry is really strict with anything and everything they censor. This is why production always tiptoe around that topic. They change it to being a dream while the person is in coma or reading about the book or whatever. I always appreciate when the drama makes it known what we are getting into.

One drama that baited everyone and just dropped the ball was last year's Scent of Time. Everyone was sat for the good plot only for them to conclude with it being a dream. People were livid.

Now, even they take risk, and it passes review, haters might call it out. The whole thing might cause wars online cos their fave show couldn't do it, so why should this one be an exception. For instance, The Double tweaked the length of the first few episodes last year. It was not supposed to exceed 45 mins. When SOME viewers found out, they reported the show. The production was warned, and they had to re-cut the later episodes. Apart from the buzz it created, it caught the eyes of people who realized the obvious gap in the cuts.

One needs to be careful in this industry.
