My question is this. So after episode 27 is it the modern arc. It should be right ?
Mortal arc (can’t say what episode number). The modern arc will be in the last episode. This story has transmigration element, so if the FL is to go back to her world, their meeting will be brief, say less than 5 minutes. This is a way to bypass the censorship. It has to be that way. It has happened time and time again.
Keep it at the back of your mind that you may not like it. This is is why everyone is praying they take a risk. Or at least, give us their modern world story as extra episodes.
As for me, I don’t mind, especially if I already know they transmigrated like here, SOKP, and ADWAD. So, once the half-assed meeting happens, I am prepared. Anything that will put actors in a blacklist, I tend to not have so much hope for.
So from the trailer it seems they will get married and sima jiao won't die!? But if one of them don't die, mortal…
They won’t. She probably just proposed to him. However, SJ will die before the marriage, even refining the spirit fire to give to her. He will disappear at one point and we will see him in the mortal arc as a young emperor. It is in that arc they will marry.
Love Between Fairy and Devil... imo they have same vibes...
Simple. I have watched LBFAD when it aired and though it had some climax scenes that is all. Never liked it after that and didn’t see the hype around it. But to each their own. The premise of this series felt like LBFAD but this one stood on its own as a gem. That is why I can’t stand seeing people compare the both of them.
LBFAD is had potential to have Donfang has the best ML and decided to hollow him out. He only talks and doesn’t do. By the time it was time for things to happen, he was already to soft to take action. This brings me to Little fairy. She is cute and all like Tingyan but unlike TY, she never supported Dongfang’s quest for revenge. She was also one of the things that held him back cos they were here people. Yes, she supported them for a while even when they were out to kill her. And by the time she wisened up, it was already quite late. That was when they decided to bring in the noble idiocy. Didn’t even understand what they were doing at this point. Dongfang totally lost his ambition. And the bad guys they went free. Ohhhh…she got her powers…merhhhh. There was amnesia. More noble idiocy. I am tired of writing atp.
So, yeah. It doesn’t compare to a straightforward series like this one. Thanks for coming to my pep talk!
okay i know everyone thinks the amnesia trope is annoying but the ANGST HURTS SOOO GOOD
I think at this point it is the opposite. Most of the comments I have seen literally like the amnesia arc cos it is a breathe of fresh air. Not like the usual trope.
Just started the series (currently at episode 5). Was reading the comments. What do you guys mean by 1st, 2nd…
The "arc" in film or a written work refers to the overall structure and progression of the story, specifically the journey and transformation of the main character(s) throughout the narrative. It represents the narrative's beginning, middle, and end, highlighting the character's growth, development, or change. In the case of WDBTD, from the novel, we already know it has 3 arcs. They also follow that structure in the drama adaptation. So the celestial arc is the beginning (first arc) for our leads, the demon world (second arc) we are in is the middle ground and where most of the drama unfolds. The last arc is the mortal world they would explore in the future, and that is where things will come to an end.
There will be a modern world. It isn’t part of any of the arcs and is just extra they need to add since this is a transmigration drama.
These 3 arcs also go well with the structure of Xianxia, where there are usually 3 worlds/realms (immortal/heavenly, human/mortal, and demon/underworld). The name depends on the drama or novel. The events also unfold in this manner in Xianxia. If you have watched some Xianxia, you will know that they explore the 3 realms as the drama goes on. This could either be for a tribulation or a mission.
Just got to watch the episodes I have missed from 19, and in 20 and 21, Shi Qianlv got on my nerves real bad. I wanted to strangle him. I asked myself why SJ left him alive but calmed down and agreed it is for the plot. I just need them to make his death brutal. He is an animal, tbh. I knew LTY won't disappoint me. My girl didn't believe any of the jacksh*t he was yapping about and just wants to live freely without the thought of killing SJ, who she has no grudge against. Though I am pissed with the writers for leaving SQL alive, I am happy they didn't make her a dumb dumb. She clocked the silly man immediately. I knew they wouldn't disappoint, and they didn't.
On another note, I love how laid back SJ is, especially when they took over Winter City as well as the other cities, and he just let Nanjiu take charge.
This is youku S+ Rank production (youku S+ is usually equivalent to other platform's S rank productions, bcz youku…
You explained so well, I think I have become an expert myself...hehe. Though I have been watching Cdramas for so long, I use heat index and general reception to gauge success and only heard of Yunhe rating while checking discussion on this show (love it so much, I went down a rabbit hole). I am quite glad it is doing well, especially with the tough competition it is facing like Thriving Land, LOTFG, and Moonlit Reunion. The online discussion has also been quite positive. The cast and production deserve it after giving us such a gem.
