I was traumatised by JOL - that’s why I waited for this to finish airing, read spoiler on whether it ends well or cliffhanger (again) before starting to watch. Otherwise the wait for S2 may cause more gray hairs before it is filmed or aired. By then have to pray hard they don’t change too many of the main cast.

Joy of life. Read that it will also be a harem but should be similar to this where the male lead only likes one lady and the others would willingly die for him even though he does not love them back.
But I didn’t mind watching an old Stephen Chow movie, The Royal Tramp as that was a comedy.
Any others with harem I usually have no interest to watch.

I dropped Untamed too but binge-watch this in 2 days

Do you mean the Taiwanese 2007 drama? If its that version must've made a very lasting impression. I have not watched many Taiwanese drama but the few I chose to watch and remember as nice was Autumn's Concerto, The Prince Who Turns Into Frog and Hi My Sweetheart. But when I re-watch now it seems like the comedy part seems over the top maybe cos I'm older now.
I also love Gong Yoo and watched more of his drama/movies than others from Biscuit Teacher and Coffee Prince etc..
I think compared to all these YAMG is more of mature love when adults face crossroads in their life. I like that their relationship seems solid after they get together and their daily life is somewhat similar to real life couple with careers. Their every look, hugs and kisses seemed so natural that it doesn't seem like they're acting, so to me that seems like real chemistry. TBH I had a hard time finding replacement romance drama couple after this.

From your comment, I'd be interested to read the novel if it's well translated.
Too bad good translations aren't available so we can only watch the story unfold through the drama.

I don't think he demeans women (or even men unless they deserve it).
I may be wrong but i think the flat butt and bust was meant as a parting joke because the previous time they parted was when he agreed with one of his travelling friend's remark that the woman is voluptuous and has fertile butt. The Princess (whom he really like) was jealous of the fact that the other woman is deemed to have a more attractive body than hers

That is my thought after watching too. I really dislike harem or if the male lead seems to like more than one woman at the same time.

After reading your comment, I'm wondering if we're watching the same drama :D.
But I think when reviews are all raving about a drama/movie we tend to have high expectation, hence when watching it may sometimes fall short. Maybe if you're free some time in the future can try re-watching to see if your views are still the same.
Out of curiosity, if you think the main leads lack chemistry, which couple in which drama that you feel has great chemistry?

Yeah... I was kinda hoping for at least some hand holding. But, maybe they’re worried about giving away too much from their body language. It must be quite a big pressure with millions/billions of ppl watching/analysing your every move.

I watched Vanguard because of YY. Action scenes were great but his lines were so cringey...

Lol... I get you but theirs progress from old friends to sudden marriage so it may not be so easy to transition into romantic relationship. The guy would be hesitant to spoil his chances since he has loved her for so long and I think the way she kissed him at the time he's most vulnerable and declared her love for him makes it so much sweeter.

Just finished it and am glad I didn't drop it due to annoyance with her recklessness in earlier episodes. I watched this for Park Hyun Sik.
He understood her so well and embraced her recklessness instead of curbing her. He knows she's going to do something dangerous and jumped in to do it before she does. I think when you see someone you love (though she has yet to realise it) put themselves in a dangerous situation to prevent you from doing it makes you think twice before doing it.

Watching this drama made me think of ivermectin during the pandemic with fear of vaccination. Then came news of the possible side effects hence it was banned for sale/use on human and some resort to buying through illegal means as it was touted as the cure.
Wondering if the writer got inspired by this.

Testing a theory is fine, but not when you don't have a backup plan in place. She could've called and alerted BEFORE going into the bathroom as she had confirmed all the symptoms with the husband. Her reasoning that she wants to make sure before calling an ambulance is a dumb decision as she has no weapon with her and she knows she may not have the strength to hold off an attack if the woman is really infected. They may have sane moments but the trigger point for change is still uncertain.

Agree with you. Even the part where she rushed into the container to save her partner is also reckless. Just because she has immunity she could make rash decisions and act alone then act as if others are too selfish for not trying to help. I've only watched few episodes and considering dropping the drama cos I feel sooner or later her 'husband' is sure to get infected due to saving her.
She knows how the infected people are with strength and difficulty to kill yet acts stupidly most of the time.

He doesn’t have many romance drama I think. Most popular before was Love O2O and the female lead kisses like a dead fish. I think Whirlwind girl don’t seem to focus much on romance. Then there’s the movie Once Upon A Time with Crystal Liu which has romance as well.
