Yes - I like Love Is Sweet too. I thought that was good, but YAMG seems better. The Glory couple seems to radiate love and sweetness when they got together and other couples just pales in comparison. I certainly found myself with a silly grin and laugh out loud more when I watch YAMG couple's interaction - not to mention the 'steamy' kissing scenes, touching proposal+ and beautiful wedding.
P/s I also find Lucky's First Love enjoyable.

Other romance dramas may have this scenes too. I don't know if it's because I'm currently so caught up in the euphoria of this drama and yet to let go but both YY and Reba acts so naturally in these scenes like a real couple. If I recall correctly, the only time Yu Tu said 'I love you' to Jing Jing was during the wedding. Throughout the drama, the only way they convey love to each other is by their thoughtful actions rather than words. In a relationship which progress slowly from friendship, this is usually the case because I feel these 3 words have more significance than 'i like you' and should not be said lightly on every occasion.

I've not really bothered with view counts of a drama ever.... before YAMG. Guess the anti-fans did some good after all - it made the fans united in trying to bring up the drama which was so unfairly treated. Chinese-illiterate me also tried hard to register on Douban to give 5-star rating but not even sure if it's successful or not :(

I watched Le Coup de Foudre before but for the life of me can't really remember much about the drama other than the main leads' faces. I think it's quite enjoyable and really slow burn but minus the hot chemistry (ahem, ahem... scenes) of YAMG. You should give it a try.
It's not something I'll want to rewatch again (unlike YAMG, Love O2O, TLB&Goblin (only the happy parts), Lucky's First Love, The Romance of Tiger & Rose, Love is Sweet, 18 Again, Go Ahead - in the order of my re-watch frequency)

I'm sad did they didn't add in some bonus Yu Xiao Qiao arrival. Any hope for a special episode later due to the drama's popularity? What are the odds of that happening?

If after trying so many episodes and you don't find it interesting, it's not your cup of tea. I think those who were at the same type of crossroad before may understand more of the struggle Yu Tu is going through, while to others, it would seem like an exaggeration of what they perceive as the perfect male with self-pity syndrome and with those mindset, would be difficult to continue watching.

I love Allen too :) but only in Under The Power and Miss Crow & Mr Lizard. The rest of his other dramas I've yet to get the motivation to continue watching. Looking forward to Blue Whisper.

This is a great article for someone who has watched up to Ep 12 only - sums up what is on my mind but you were able to put it so systematically while my mind is just full of jumbled thoughts of how right everything is with this drama. A big thank you - shall we be getting a full review after you complete watching the drama? I'm sure many will be anticipating ;)

I love Bai Lu too, but that doesn't mean Dilraba is bad (this goes for other actresses too). To get a good drama involves a good script, the whole cast and production team. I personally love Dilraba more, probably because of what I perceived as her real life character as someone who's beautiful inside out, works hard, plays hard and unpretentious but I have yet to really completely finish watching all the dramas she acted in because I always feel the male leads in those dramas don't deserve getting her, with the exception of TLB and YAMG. Maybe one of these days I should try watching Sweet Dreams again.
My thoughts are, you should keep an open mind and try watching the drama before you comment on her acting here because this page is reviewing the drama as a whole.

I really can't recall him acting in any romance drama after Love O2O. For romance movie, there's one with Crystal Liu and a few with only minor parts involving romance.

Honestly, I did drop midway when A'Dou died. Would have given up because I really hate it when side characters I've grown to love are killed in dramas one by one.
Because of Reba, I watched short clips on YouTube, read the comments in MDL (got to know the ending) before I could continue on and finish it.

Some dramas makes me cringe when the couple act lovey-dovey, but this Glory couple makes it seem so natural. The hugs and cuddles, the honesty and mutual understanding, I could go on and on.
It's quite hard to move on.

Yes. It was such a beautiful wedding, handsome couple and the ravishing bride with the most beautiful dress...
