I know what you mean. The comments seems to be made by immature audience who are unable to articulate well or maybe putting down this drama as the leads are getting more popularity than their idol and they think by talking trash about the drama will help their idol.
But I think those who intends to watch will take it with a pinch of salt and just try watching the drama themselves.
For me, I read comments both good and bad to get a general idea of what story is like, then watch and decide if I like it.

Well said. YAMG is more for mature audience and I mean maturity in thoughts and not age.
I also like peaceful show and loved how despite obstacles and the mundane normal life portrayed in the show, the couple is able to show their loving relationship so naturally.

That’s good to know (good review in Viki). I also know the ML from The King’s Avatar. When I watched him in Produce Camp 2019 where he participated and lost, I felt sad for him.
Hope at least some of his dramas will be hugely successful.

It’s kinda sad this drama is not being rated higher. Maybe not many are watching as both ML and FL is not that popular or well known plus there are so many choice of dramas to pick/watch.

There is a comment which says this drama is rated so high because of the fans of the two leads who give 10's to everything their favorite is in. Though both are in my favourite list (including countless others), I do not give 10 if the drama is not well deserving in my opinion.
Like you, I think the chemistry of the YangDi couple in this drama is explosive - their love and passion appears real and I do not feel like it's merely acting out the character in the script unlike usual romance drama when I watch I'd know they're just acting out the role. Even the BTS and photo shoots reveals a lot from their body language. Which is why it's not easy to move on after watching this drama.

They watch without really trying to understand the dialogues and plot.
Expect a perfect character right out of a book without flaws and no character development required.

I think it’s more for mature audience who can understand the struggle and dilemma ML goes through and the sweet daily interaction of a couple who is comfortable with each other.

In the novel, Shunde was the one who told Changyi the truth.
In the drama, when Yunhe died, Changyi said he knew she never betrayed him and he regrets insisting that she tells him the truth herself (which Yunhe doesn’t want to as she knows she’s dying. She told herself it’ll be easier for him to accept her death if he hates her but also fears that he may not believe if she were to tell the truth). It was a very sad moment as Luoluo berated Changyi for being as stubborn as Yunhe and not letting her have freedom during her last days.

I'm stuck at the exact spot... gone too far to drop yet felt its a chore to go on. I think I have to go watch another short drama in between before picking up where I left off.

Take the ratings as a rough guide and comments with a pinch of salt. Then watch a few episodes to see whether you like it. Each person have different tastes though there are some who sign up just to give bad rating especially popular dramas.

Agree with your comment though I have not watched any drama with the FL and only watched ML in The King's Avatar. I rated this a 10 cos its definitely on my rewatch list.
