I’ve always thought Tan Song Yun struggled with kissing scenes. She is getting better with each drama but I still feel she holds back…I can only imagine how hard this is for an actor along with believable crying or high emotion scenes.

Sorry not sorry for her at all, cry me a river….as you said she has everything but daddy’s love. She could look for love elsewhere and do something beneficial. She’s evil.

Agree it seems more than reasonable she would be forceful to rectify the wrongs to her family and protect them . She is tough I personally like it.

I think they conflate “cuteness” and innocence. I sure hope acting babyish is not what most men find attractive in Asia. Idk is it a skill taught to women to control men? I can’t figure it out but I end up dropping those dramas because I don’t enjoy watching them at all. I find it cringy and I feel sorry for the actresses.

Whether this is the case or not…..I still care MORE about acting skills than looks. Something cdramas need to focus on more imo if they really wish to be competitive globally.

Have to say it, this has completely devolved. The FL doesn’t tell ML what In A is up to with the twins. She trusts her? Really? How stupid is she anyway? Duh, In A participated with the ex bf in deceiving her for YEARS. Yep, she’s got good character and is ethical, stupid, stupid, stupid plot. Come on this is absolutely NOT realistic at all. Also, if she cared about the kids or ML she would never stay quiet about it. The kids seriously could be harmed for life. What kind of person is SHE who is motivated by her overwhelming desire for a transfer even to the extent she is willing to let bad things happen to innocent children? Oh she is redeemed because at the last second she sees how bad it really is going to be for the kids and rushes to the airport? Nope not in my view.

They also completely let the ex-girlfriend’s brother off the hook after he repeatedly stalks her and trashes her car? Seriously? It has been five years since his sister died and the ML didn’t cause her to die. He was WORKING and he IS a firefighter who must respond to emergencies. It was an ACCIDENT.

I give up on this drama as it is so ridiculous Finally, that doe-eyed, wide-eyed expression on the FL’s face all the time makes me think the character has nothing much going on upstairs in that head of hers. This must be taught in acting school 101. Ok, now to look innocent, open your eyes really wide and have this vacuous expression on your face while speaking in a soft girly voice. Yeah, yeah that’s it! Keep doing that….bad direction and bad acting! It feels like I’m watching vaudeville with bad actors.

I’m not sure where this story is headed atm. I don’t believe in mainland China that stand up really exists. I think a comedian, was it last year (?) got in big trouble for making a joke about the Chinese military. Citizens were all riled up and wanted him punished. He was cancelled and fined, I think. The industry such as it was really went into shutdown after that.

Perhaps this is just about the struggle that is still ongoing in China in which culturally along with censorship you must be incredibly careful. You can be reported for anything you say even if misconstrued. Hope they can flesh this out a bit more as they are about 2/3rd’s of the way through the story.

This also isn’t a romance although it has romantic elements. I can only see this ending with the fl and ml continuing to struggle forward to bring stand up to China. I don’t see it as them making it or becoming big stars or something along those lines.

That girl definitely is the opposite in personality to Xia Ya. She interjects herself whenever she feels like it and speaks her mind. What she wants she finds a way to pursue even if others are uncomfortable. She is oblivious. Clearly, it is not meant to be mean spirited but I think it is to contrast her personality against Wu Xiu Ya. The whole opposites attract kind of thing.

It seems contradictory that part of her reasoning for not going all in with Shi Ye was that she was unsure that he was being sincere towards her with the almost kiss (not to mention of course Xiao Lan’s interest in Shi Ye) yet she isn’t so concerned about this with YunFeng. That doesn’t make sense to me as he is older and has had beautiful successful girlfriends. In fact, I would think she would be even more hesitant to date him especially taking into account their financial disparities and his greater life/work experience.

In YunFeng’s case, she is open to giving it a try. Granted YunFeng has been direct with her whereas Shi Ye hasn’t. Clearly, other things like she just broke up with someone and her job stresses didn’t have any consideration when she elected to date so that couldn’t have applied in her decision not to pursue Shi Ye as others suggested previously. It seems this is a plot device to push Shi Ye into action and we’re back to the trope of having multiple men interested in and pursuing the FL to “fill” episodes. Now there is a loss of traction in the story imo.

I think your analysis is correct and is likely what the writers want to demonstrate. However in real life she would be taking the risk of turning Shi Ye off by her willingness to date YunFeng just like that (it appears shallow) not to mention having the people at work find out about it. I’m not sure that it all fits together very well as it makes her seem like she has swung 180 degrees from afraid to do anything to upset anyone to being rash. Idk
