I am from India, we also have this concept of respecting your elders or the person with higher position but still, we don't have physical violence in our workplace. I think almost every Asian Country have this concept of respecting elders. So when a manager of 25 years old has a 55-year-old person working under him, they will both maintain respect for each other (eg: The older person will refer to the manager as "Sir" and the manager might refer to him either as "Uncle - if they have a good private relationship", "First name with a "Ji" attached to it ( Ji is a term of respect).
So respect and physical violence are different from each other. The teachers during my time used to punish students by hitting with a ruler but this is no longer the system in most schools because Parents are against the concept of violence. They rather want to punish the students by more homework, running around the ground, doing squats etc. This helps with their physical health and also serves as a punishment. There are some older generation teacher who still hit students but its a disappearing trend.

No idea what that is.. but I have watched too many K-dramas where they get kicked in the Shin, Hit in the head using files and forced to entertain their superior at dinners... apart from this, they are also forced to work long hours..some even show them working for more than 24 hours..
Considering S.E is one of the OCED countries, its hard to believe such work culture exist. I don't know if they should even be called a developed country with such work ethics. If the male employees itself face such harsh work environment.. I don't know what the women must be facing..
Another Kdrama that starts with Employee abuse.. Do employers really hit their employees in Korea?? This just doesn't make sense to me.. which world are we living in?? I know they exploit on the working hours and with low pay.. but physical abuse?? If that happens in India, the workers will break down the entire office and beat up the supervisor who laid the hand..
Every drama has its plus and minus points this one did tooit cannot be perfect in every way !!!😊😊and also…
I agree... I have re-watched dramas which I had dropped earlier and even liked them.... Eg: Ten Mileas Peach Blossom.. I had dropped this drama at around Ep 8 because I couldn't watch the FL falling in love with a twin brother of her teacher because to me it felt like she was in love with her teacher considering all those mourning scenes.. but later when I read a comment that she revives the teacher and she only respects him as a teacher and is in relationship with the ML.. I was able to approach the drama again with a new POV and I liked it...
However I don't usually drop a drama unless I just couldn't stand something.. in most on the cases, I drop the dramas which are too illogical from the earlier setting.
I watched this till EP 8. I just couldn't watch it any further.. the plotline is very dumb.. The scene of the challenger, the FL's reaction after losing that practice game, the ML's explanation of why the enemy team is evil were just too over the top and unrealistic. Even the gaming scenes were very badly done..
They were always trending on the internet, recognized everywhere they went and yet the parents were against them playing E-sports and their income was very low. Have you seen any trending celebrity or widely recognized celebrity not making money? and yet... they were not making money ... I can understand why parents might be against your carrier choice before you made a success.. happens to everyone who wants to become an actor.. less than 1% people succeed but I don't understand parents opposing after they made it to the Top Team which is so famous that they trend on the internet and draw huge crowds and recognized by everyone..
I don't mind the love triangle if it is a way to develop characters by putting them in a dilema and not one girl/guy…
Personally for me.. if you can't even share such a small thing like "Writing a Book" with the person you love... then you don't actually love him enough. It doesn't matter weather you will succeed or not in writing your book but if you can't share this simple part of your life .. then its not ok..
I haven't read the book but I think there is nothing wrong with the Guy using his GF's car to drive her around..…
I guess this is what happens when you watch the drama after reading the novel. Yes, I forgot that he was stationed 100 km away in the desert so he couldn't have rented the jeep and most likely took the company vehicle. But anyway, renting does is an option for him.
Also in that scene.. he is going to be further away but he is going to City. The FL was going to film in the desert for 2 months and they were unable to do video calls due to a slow internet connection at FL's side.
oh I'm just your opposite, I loved FIYS but this is just mediocre for me so far (I'm on ep 11 or so)
Oh.. I didn't knew about that.. but I certainly felt that the drama was too out of logic.. When we reached the above scenes is why I dropped the drama... it just became too much for me.. from the beginning there were lot of issues. Eg: They played finals with an injured player.
I haven't read the book but I think there is nothing wrong with the Guy using his GF's car to drive her around..…
Exactly my point.. They didn't dwell on the subject of his earnings.. There is a scene where her best friend asks her.. will you date him if you weren't a actress and weren't earning any money.. her reply was.. "Then its more the reason to date him since she is not making money" . They try to do things for each other.. Eg: The guy paid nearly half a months salary to his school mates to keep their dating thing secret, He buys the Signal Booster when he visits her in the desert.. He built her wardrobe storage since he can't afford to buy it...
Similarly, the FL is doing household chores even when she never did them in the past in her own house.. The manager even comments in one of the scenes that she has finally grown up. She gives up variety shows and concentrates more on movies so that she won't be busy too busy to spend time with him and will remain in the core industry of her interest.
That's exactly why I think the ML not buying a car didn't seem a big issue to me... He doesn't have a private life unless he is dating his girl friend and spends all his time at the research institute which is close by to his house. He can rent a car when he wants to go for a long trip to visit his girl friend - Eg: The jeep he rented when he visited her in the desert.
I was taken by the sweet scenes on youtube and wanted to watch it but was worried due to the ML. He is a bad picker when it comes to dramas.. thank god I decided to check out the MDL comments... No way I am going to watch this one.. I don't know why I watched Love Alarm but I am not about to repeat my mistake..
I think there are just a couple things that Gu Man left out that I wish she hadn't. I don't know if it was a dynamic…
I haven't read the book but I think there is nothing wrong with the Guy using his GF's car to drive her around.. She has a certain lifestyle.. she can't change that just because his earnings are less. Using her car makes much more sense for them considering it provides more comfortable ride....
If he can't let go of his pride "I can't use my wife's money" thing.. then their relationship won't survive at all bcs ML can't afford the lifestyle the FL wants..
oh I'm just your opposite, I loved FIYS but this is just mediocre for me so far (I'm on ep 11 or so)
The problem with FIYS is that it's just too dumb.. They take so much time with explanations that don't literally make sense at all. I can ignore dumb stuff in the scripts but I can't ignore it when the writers spent 20 mins explaining that dumb stuff,,
Eg; I remember there was a scene where a person challenged them for a practice match and ML explained how this guy will defeat them and break their confidence and all.... I was like WTF?? If you are defeated by a strong player, that's a good thing.. you will improve the areas you are lacking.. that is why it is called a practice match.
They spent nearly 15 mins explaining why he was a bad guy... I mean if players quit after losing against a Top player.. then they don't deserve to be a Pro-gamer... Players still compete in the Olympics even when they were competing against Usain Bolt knowing that he is a world record holder.. that is what is called gaming spirit..
I was baffled by all the explanations from the ML and then FL crying for 2 days after a loss... that's when I realized.. Either I need to dumb down to watch that drama or drop the drama... I decided to do the later..
But its on Wetv.. upcoming list.. I hope this comes before end of 2021..
From the looks of trailer, I am pretty sure that they will have atleast 1 battle against each other.. I think there was a line something like this " I was bound to be killed by you from the moment we met" .. I don't remember the exact phrasing... but I think we will see a battle scene for sure..
The fight scene between ML and FL in Love and Redemption was similarly amazing..
