Episode 5 now, I'm hooked. When a cooking contest is more entertaining than $200 millions US super-heroes movies. The comedy is good, and I don't speak about the over-the-top eating hallucinations, but the whole.
Great except the very end. It's like it stops in the middle of something or there will be a season 2.More in spoiler…
As it is, it's like Ah Jin understood her life was a mess and she had to stop. She disapears, left for dead. Probably won't try to take revenge vs her husband.
We see a hand stroking her photo at funeral, a hand with rings. So here: I was thinking it's her hand, but it needs to check if it's her rings. (There is maybe a close-up on the rings before in the drama, but I don't find it).
Someone else is involved but we don't know who, because this person filmed her when she goes out of the car. We guess this person maybe helped her to run away too.
Well, the bff considers the App more like a game. "how to seduce the VR BF in the fastest way". It's a…
This girl assumes the fast dating, she's heavy consumer of "boyfriends", and maybe not the one with trouble, because she's not deeply involved about feeling. But hear that, I just read by chance a news today: there was a guy commiting suicide after a "love" relationship with chatGPT. And with an App so powerful as Boyfriend on Demand, it would be easy to get the illusion of a love story. If the drama was considering the scif-fi more seriously, I'm worried it would be a far darkest tale.
I wish I can erase this drama from my memories and watch it again with same excitement, thrill and building theories.
Hi. I know this feeling, I rewatched a lot, and I was frustrated for this universe to end, because it had potential for more. Somehow, over the years, I had enough ideas to write a sequel for it. You might read it for free on my blog: https://w-two-worlds-season-2.blogspot.com/
You can see at the bottom of the main page how I describe the style of the story, very close to the original, with mysteries and the "building theories" as a part of the show. I ended the rewriting phase, but didn't publish yet last episodes, as I'm doing pictures for them currently. And by the way, I would like to create pictures to for Ep 14 to 27 because they don't have a lot.
While the initial idea is creative, the plot occasionally becomes repetitive, focusing heavily on romantic scenarios…
I enjoyed the drama but I gave up the idea to get some coherence about sci-fi even before to start. I was guessing it wouldn't be treated as such, but rather a support for the characters journey. If such technology existed, the whole world of this drama would be different: you would have huge gaming industry using that, desintox centers, or chiefs running virtual restos, and of course lot of porn apps. You would also have safety limits to prevent people to stay connected and dying for forgeting to drink water or eat food.
better than decent drama if you watch it purely for the light hearted vibes and also watching the ML's affection…
Well, the bff considers the App more like a game. "how to seduce the VR BF in the fastest way". It's a bit similar to gamers doing speed-runs on old classic games.
Ep9 and Ep10 : slow but lot of good feeling, happy couple life. I think the drama shows that well, and can give the desire to anyone to have a loving couple life. As FL doesn't use VR as much as in first episodes, yet other characters do it, providing nice comedy scenes. Excellent cliffhanger at end of Ep9.
I’m not sure what everyone’s problem is with jisoo. She did a great job portraying her character. 10/10 for…
Indeed, she's good actress. I watched her previous drama Snowdrop because of friends fan of her, while I dislike actors coming from kpop, idols, ex-models. They are often bad at acting, with a flat non-expressive face. So I was expecting something bad. It turned the opposite. I was pleasantly surprised. She has marked face features, some elasticity.
Ep7 and Ep8: there is a slow down here. The episodes feel long to watch. It shows various characters slice of life, and main romance, which can't be rushed. Some funny moments too. I don't like slow pace, but I still enjoyed, it feels natural how it is. ML is a stable man who know what he want, so it relies mostly on FL needing to grow, heal and change, also finding how futile is the VR.
Ep5 and Ep6: I couldn't ask better for a light rom-com drama (not my favorite genre), that doesn't feature life&death situations or heavy dramatism. Currently, it has everything I like, done well.
Comedy: it relies on situations, dialogs and acting, not anymore the annoying sound effects of Ep1.
High-concept: it's well exploited, like "what are all the great ideas that could use this concept?". For example, the AI characters do everything to keep costumers in the App when they are about to unsubscribe, or even call people on the phone in the real world!, creating then funny confusion.
Ep4: the drama is better and better. As I was feeling it could be repetitive in Ep3, in Ep4, there is a good montage accelerating the pace and breaking repetivity. The way it happens: no warning! Then a short moment of confusion is quickly cleared as we enter the montage. I found that daring, and it pay off.

No idea. But first, this drama is uncomfortable, making a bad woman the protagonist, like was "Queen of ambition" or "Miss Ripley", then we can expect a lot of people will dislike it for understandable moral reasons. However, the writing is gold, and when we enter this kind of story, we don't look for a good character, but rather how the karma and rude destiny will come back at this, creating strong dramatic scenes.
I could check about the screenwriter past: he (or she?) just did 3 kdrama specials (just 1h30 to 2h each). It's not a lot, so we can say: it's the first full drama this writer does. And, it's quite awesome, just better than some people with already two or three full dramas as experience.

Turns out it's also the cliffhanger. (8 minutes of credits after)
The rating is low, so I'm curious to see why, and maybe it will be good?

There are other various reasons why the relationship is cold at the start.

Check for "part 2" too, same story but different shots.
They made a full drama story in 5 minutes, with a most famous drama actor Lee Jong-Ki.

She did nothing before (no movies, no specials, really nothing), a real newcomer.
