Episode 1 is good. It's strong dramatics, with harsh FL and etablishing a striking situation. So the story is on rail. Of course it's not the sweet romcom people are used these day, it's more rough with flawed characters, and it's what I like. I'm currently watching an older drama with a similar situation "Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung", the story is based from real facts. There are chances that writers of Cunning Single Lady got inspiration from this drama or those real facts.
I don't remember a love triangle in this. It's mostly a couple having a chance to be one again, but it's difficult because FL is so terrible in episode 1.
It's kinda true. I never focused on this, but now you say it, I think her hairstyle is often the same. I watched most of her dramas, except two last ones because lack of time.
If it's different hairing you focus on, then those two dramas too: - River Where the Moon Rises - The Emperor: Owner of the Mask And Goblin, but her role is short in this (Guest Role).
So the younger single woman is an old maid but the older single man is a golden bachelor. Interesting.
The resume is wrong. ML is a golf champion (so, indeed is a "golden" choice for women because he's famous with money), and FL has same age and is single. She is not rich but makes a bit more money than many people, as jewelry designer and jewelry boutique manager.
Yes, she initially thought of him/drew him, but she's not the author of the webnovel so there's not much of an…
Well, of course I put in the story everything to make audience uneasy and wonder. Not the actual easy drama with cooton girlfriend or boyfriend but real issues. It's what I like in a script: set something difficult to accept but take it seriously and develop it deeply.
Thank you for your reply. I'll maybe do a last try with the drama you rec. Now I've drop Hua Jai Sila. I've no problem with the "slap & kiss" or the arrogant male lead bothering women, it's a bit for that I was curious to watch.
But concretly, the script is a disaster.
Half of the scenes are useless, repeatitive and don't make the story move forward. ML keeps pursuing FL when he's in the time when he tries to get revenge by sleeping with the sister. It doesn't make sens and all the scenes are painful. The guy blocks her to say what? Nothing. Dialogs are empty, or with basic evasive pretexts. She tries to escape, he follows her, blocks her again, arghhh. I mean, such a scene could be good if there was a purpose and not being repeatitive. But here, NOTHING.
Same about the "slap & kiss". Maybe funny but out of context. Just watch the korean drama "Iris" to get that well done.
I've to mention also this: at least 5 minutes are wasted each episode because many scene ends with an endless "face of character 1, face of caracter 2, (do it again during 30 second to one minute)" while there is a out of context stressing music. Then you watch that and wait, wait, wait...
And countless plot-holes, even if honestly, for such a drama, I don't care. I just see it's bad screenplay, and bad writing is a big no for me.
Here a funny thing I see for first time: when they are angry, there is a red light in their eyes. I think there is a prop guy dedicated to lit a flashing red light, off-screen.
At episode 7, the situation is interesting: ML's trying to seduce the sister, while he has a reason to be a jerk with the FL. I don't expect all of that being rational but it gives some dramatic scenes.
It's really "slap & kiss", not even one second between. lol.Red lipsticks are crazy flashy. Two main actresses…
It doesn't make sense: Mrs Mam buys a tie from Pheera, the husband of Sida's friend, even though she's seen the tie (twice already). So when her husband wears it, she'll recognize it and know where it came from. Mrs. Nam doesn't have a brain (or the scriptwriter).
It's first lakorn I watch so I chose this one because it's famous. Production is good enough, quality picture, and people say it's an outrageous drama, what I'm looking for.
I'll wait to watch more to know if I like the story or not, but about screenplay, ouch! it's quite bad. Clearly, it's probably more a general problem than just this drama. Thai dramas seem light years behind korean ones.
Dialogues on the noze, repeating previous things many times, bad expo thought scenes dedicated for that, where characters says what the other already know. It's sound unatural and fake. Confrontation scenes should be a highlight, but instead fall into obvious lines (that you should just delete before a better version of the script) and sounding phony like hell.
ML and FL are good actors, but some other are so caricatural. It's cheap and 90s mexican telenovelas like.
Flashback and situations without depth, ultra-simplistic, or just to show the mother is bad and does bad things. Impossible to trust anything and it's hard to sympathize. It's like a trash adult story was told to children. Cringe!
There are also the background music badly used. Suddenly, a character stares and there is a big noisy music to end the scene, out of place, and stopping abruptly in the worst way or to boot: it transitions into a different scene, cutting the music by another one. Scenes transitions are terribles. I often get the feeling: not much happens, but we put a stressing BGM for artificial stress.
The guy looks like a puppy and I'd prefered someone more manly. But ok, I'm here for the writing quality, and I guess the writers will tweak it a bit to adapt to the actor.

Drama "Radio Romance".

Two main actresses (sisters) are pretty.
Just found a plot-hole (among dozen probably), see spoiler below:

It's also get the guiness record of "I meet you by chance in a elevator". ^^
