Seo Hae uses a smoke grenade against the cops, she has no gas mask no protection glasses but she breathes easy…
Yes, it's just a smoke grenade, there's no gas in it. It's just used to mask a position. The thing used in tactical FPS, with the flashbang. But the most important point was a cute pink kitty drawn on it. ^^
Ok, so the plane crash. END. Press conference : it's a great drama of one 15 minutes episode. We hope the audience will like it. (cross fingers, make an heart). ^^
Images of this drama have something faeric. I feel in peace after watching episodes. I suppose something more dramatic and intense will come next, times of war.
- CGI : Here I'm talking about digital effects, such as downloaded people. All of them are excellent. Rewatch the rat on the shoulder, beginning episode 4!
- General directing, sets, photo : Great. Never seen before in a drama, overview of a devastated city, bridge under construction, a lot of different sets, tech stuff, details, much more various than usual. Feels like watching a movie.
- Fight scenes : It's first time there is real Gunfu with sequence shots in a drama. Refer to other Gunfu recent movies (Tiler Rake, The Vilainess, etc). It's also nervous and immersive. But of course, it's less violent, less brutal, and less successful than in those movies. For a drama, it's still an unprecedented performance, with the fight in the elevator in episode 2 of LUCA drama, or first battle scene in Episode 3 of My country the new age (not Gunfu, but huge sequence shot).
- Chases and Stunts using Green Screen : here, it's either bad (outside view drones + cars) , very bad (slide on the conference roof) or abominable (characters hanging from a cable above buildings). I would prefer no such scene, or more basic chases, on the ground, brutal and realistic. To want to do too much in the spectacular, it's just grotesque, and severely spoils the drama, even if it's isolated scenes.
Is it just me or is the end scene background song out of place and super annoying?
Gosh, this song is abominable. Worst song I heard in a drama. I'm not speaking about credit song, but the last song before, end of episode 4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKxJ5L5-q8w This voice makes me tense. Arrgggrrrrrrr.
Yeahh probably he has got already a prototype. Tats the only way
I think he did that, because I remember there is a shot on the code he write. And there is already many ready to use functions. Anyway, it's like that any dev work. Reuse. Try to dev with java, it's the langage with the most ready to use libraries. If he use Perl often, he downloaded some of his framework functions.
Nothing as good than drink a glass of whisky while watching Penthouse. Currently : Start episode 18. A whisky in my hand while Yoon-Hee and Dan Tae have a whisky drink too.
I heard this drama was expensive to make. I wished more of the budget was put in the CGI. The directing is meh.…
I'm not sure about what is a plot-hole or not is the drama, and I'm waiting for answer. There is a good probability that many weird things have one, if you pay attention. Like how can 72h be spendt ? How cops could forget how many hours since the kidnapping ? Why the guy offer 5 bananas, then offer again 5 bananas, etc. Also about foolish things, I'm considering, maybe, that "future can't be changed", so Tae Sul can't be killed at this point of the story. Then, he could jump from a plane in the sky. But I'm not sure about anything, I just want to see what come next ! :-)
lol am i the only one actually enjoying it? it's not perfect but some of these comments are way too harsh
The plot is very good, and if you dig a bit, it's even better. Far more better written as you could think. I like also : there is many differents situations, it's never repetitive and what happen next is unexpected. Fight scenes are great, just the best. But we saw quite bad directing about some stunts during episode 3. I could say, it's not so much, but when something is good, you want it perfect, are at least, not so big mistakes.
I want to know if the blond guy won the lottery... I am still curious...
He just watched the lottery results on TV. Right after, he discovered a paper in his pocket. Written on it were the exact numbers of the draw announced on TV. Then he committed suicide.
Episode 3 : The CGI was great (various downloaded people). But stunts on the roof was awkard, badly done, low logic about momemtum, fall, etc. One more nice Gunfu fight, but with some cuts (no full sequence shot). About the story : addicting and fast paced.
Why would anyone hate on PSH? Is it some kind of "attack" on her, from other girls/women who are uglier than her?…
I have no idea, I think she's not as pretty as many other actresses. However, her performances as an actress are excellent and she is very expressive, her eyes lives. From the very first scene of the drama, everything rings true to her. The action scene, when she comes out of the apartment, you can see the adrenaline on her face.

Episode 8 was fabulous! The best.
