Title Dear Hyeri
I think now this drama has settled down a bit that we are getting somewhat more clarity on the situation. I am…
I think this episode made some moves to help audience, with some revelations, or just clarify or repeat in a longer time some short flashbacks we got before.

Title Dear Hyeri Spoiler
Episode 5 - Live watching. (see SPOILER below)
Starts with dream of Hyeri + EunHo as a child.
EunHo wakes up. 1:20am. (or pm?)
Surprise! Hyeon O is here: ‘You slept 12 hours’.
Is this true, or is he hiding the fact that he saw Hyeri?

02:00 - EunHo+HyeonO, restaurant.
EunHo is behaving a bit like Hyeri + He brings up memories of the night before, but she seems to take it as a bit of a dream.

04:00 - Apartment.
It seems to be daylight. Mysterious episode starting.
If it's 2pm, logically it would be Hyeri waking up?
Or is it a flashback to the day before?

05:11 - Flashback.
HyeonO: I'll never get married
This is the break-up scene. Superb!
EunHo: If I date someone else, I'll be 40 by the time I get married.
This line provokes his reaction to separate.
He never hide he would never get married. But she hoped for that with time.
Alas, nothing like that.
So, as difficult is for audience to accept:
He prefers to break-up because it's best for her.
Add to that, maybe the feeling the relationship was transactional.
Like "you wasted my time about life plan" more than love.

08:06 - Long insistant close-up shot on HyeonO hand when he quits table.
He hold a wallet + another object, hard to know what maybe a lighter?

08:30 - Back in the flat, daytime.
He watches her sleep. She cries in her sleep (dream?). He's moved.

09:10 - Title: Farewell
‘Leave it on the shelf and never take it out again’.

09:25 - Car park, day.
Jun-Yu... And Hyeri absent.

09:53 - Apartment, day.
She wakes up, puts on her glasses, it's EunHo!
HyeonO is here again.
It's unreal, as if she's imagining him.

10:48 - HyeonO +EunHo
He says he can't find his wallet.
I guess he pretends and it's an excuse to stay with her.
Because mainwhile he was moved and want to help her for a while.

OR because there was time between moment he looks at her and she wakes-up:
He really lost his wallet, what means...
... at some point EunHo (or Hyeri?) woke-up at least for a short time and stole the wallet.
What could be a move from her because she want he stays by her side.

10:58 - Car, day. EunHo+HyeonO
She is in another state.
Like an intermediary between EunHo and Hyeri.

12:02 - They arrive at the therapist's clinic.
Symbolism: She crosses a very long bridge.
From right to left, ‘back’. And she's alone on it.

13:18 - Therapy session.
She thinks she's EunHo, but it's Hyeri's time.
My analysis: in the previous episode, EunHo was in danger of disappearing because Hyeri had a happier life. But the reconciliation with HyeonO changed that. Now it's Hyeri who's disappearing.
EunHo had finally forgotten that she was also Hyeri. Crazy.

15:28 - Flashback sisters.
They're children, and their parents have just died. Ouch!
To check: but it could the people who died in a previous flashback, when EunHo watch the television and want to becomes anchor.
Luckily Grandma can take care of them.

17:50 - Next flashback, teenagers.
Unlike Hyeri, EunHo doesn't believe in love, and giving implies a debt in return.

19:23 - Continuation of a flashback we've already seen.
About Hyeri's graduation trip.
EunHo wants Hyeri to go.

22:30 - After receiving ‘Hyeri's death proclamation’ (2019):
EunHo finds grandmother dead. Ouch!

23:20 - She unpacks the memories.
A lot of things already seen before in this episode.
But useful for audiences who weren't paying attention.
+ And adds details not seen in previous episodes.

24:20 - Hyeri is working in the car park.
She gets a phone call from her job as a presenter.
Here I made a mistake in my previous interpretation.
I thought she was losing her memory as soon as she started this job.
It turns out she didn't. She's still EunHo at this point.
But I suppose another shock will change that.
Excellent, this ends up voice-over from therapist.
She wanted to try to live like Hyeri because Hyeri was always happy.

25:10 - Back to the therapist.
Recap. This episode is all about helping the late audience.
27:30, video of Hyeri's first visit to the therapist.
EunHo sees herself as Hyeri.
It's a shock!
The scene ends with a teaser:
EunHo: Mrs. Therapist, in your opinion, was Hyeri really happy?

28:33 - Clinic exit. EunHo outside. Rain.
HyeonO arrives with umbrella: What did your doctor say?
28:35, ultra-oblique shot. lol!
Probably a hidden meaning:
The umbrella is broken, he picked it up in the street.
But it's enough to protect her from the rain.

29:30 - Car park, night. Hyeri is not there.
Ju-Yun retrieves EunHo's smartphone (left destroyed in the toilet scene).
A problem here: Ju-Yun and Min Young are now attached to Hyeri as a real person.

31:48 - EunHo returns home. HyeonO crashes in.
He takes care of her.

39:40 - After a few pleasant but secondary scenes:
The clown Jae Yong meets Ju-Yun (who is looking for Hyeri).
He tells him about EunHo, hey hey... I'm curious about the scene.
Um, it's a cliffhanger and the scene stops there. LOL.

40:00 - Ju-Yun in underground car park:
Find out about EunHo.

43:40 - EunHo wakes up.
HyeonO tells her she slept for another 12 hours.
So she's stopped being Hyeri (unless he's lying).
Detail: for 4 years, she had never thrown away his clothes.
Then: Happy couple life.

49:50 - Night. Ju-Yun arrives at EunHo's residence.
But sees her with HyeonO...
Confused... She doesn't behave like Hyeri.

50:00 - A mysterious man goes to see Hye Hyeon.
We don't see him in the scene, lol! Seems to be a sex-friend.

56:00 - Elevator JuYun drunk, goes to say something to HyeHyeon, but CUT.
Probably depressed because Hyeri. Also, get drunk doesn't sound his habit.

56:10 - EunHo wakes up.
Panic because HyeonO isn't here. But he comes home.
58:40, Family emergency, HyeonO leaves...
... without saying anything to EunHo. Whhhaaat?!! Typical kdrama ML. lolol!

59:00 - Making you feel the time is long...
The sink: drip by drip... Then total silence.
Background noise returns, with a voice-over by HyeonO...
... She remembers the breakup.

01:01:45 - HyeonO comes back later in the rain.
He says: ‘Be sick’. loooooool! What a line!
Of course, it's so he can take care of her. ahah.
01:02:13 - Shot of her reflection in the mirror, from behind!
Just before she answers ‘No’.
In this scene, the characters seem to be in two different places.
And not talking to each other at all.
She seems to be rejecting him, with a smile.
That she want to be healthy, not sic. (and happy? I missed the line and will complete later)
And FLASHBACK, the end of the break-up scene.
(Break-up scene was a drawer, each time we are shown it, another step is added).
He tells her ‘we say goodbye with a smile’. Still, he has a tear.
Back to the present.
With a smile, she says ‘goodbye’.
I guess my translation is wrong and it's ‘farewell’.
This time the meaning of the episode title is easy to work out.

It's new to the drama, but there are now text inserts from time to time.
Like the one at the end:
(Let's put each other away and never miss each other again.)

When HyeonO leaves for his family emergency, EunHo remembers the breakup, and presumably this motivates her final decision to reject him. She doesn't want to suffer again like she did the first time?

This episode was less intense than the previous ones. A bit sluggy.

I didn't notice that noise. As I'm rewatching a part, here what I hear:On episode 3, ~53:00, it's a clear discussion…
I get the best quality too, 1080p.

Ayaaa.... I just put my brain off when I watch this drama and enjoy the comedy.

I'll try to take attention to that.
Usually I take care a lot to background music, but I don't know why, maybe too hooked on the story, I didn't. Thank to you, I put my attention on that, discovering the sound-effects and BGM are so effective. Now, I'll check the flaws too.

I really love the drama!but the ep4 ending was so useless and bad. wth he kissed his ex girlfriend when she's…
He did because she wanted to.

excuse me for being salty but how hard is to understand that both of them are just doing their job?there's a reason…
Beside, the thematic isn't new. Take for example "The Punisher". There are always cops or other super-heroes trying to stop him.

Here the writer put a minimal effort to avoid ML being a Yes-Man. The effect would be disastrous, we saw that in some other dramas where ML is a mop, almost non-existant.
Sure, impossible to have a romance with this kind of ultra-flat ML.

Yup
People say here: why he acts like he doesn't know she's a demon, or doesn't accept it?
Well, my opinion, he knows very well. But not an excuse to allow her to do what she want on Earth. And as he knows too she can't kill him, he can stop her.

So many hate for both characters yet here I am enjoying how our two leads where not lazy written, they both just…
Hum... complex is maybe a big word here, but I like they have a conflict and strong positions.

Unfortunately the ML has very little charisma (specially in the last episodes). He became more of a annoying person…
He's gonna make her cry. 🙂

PSH is overdoing , her character is becoming annoying… maybe because I haven’t seen her playing this character…
Sometimes her eyes bulge so much that I feel like they'll pop out and fall to the floor.
POP-POP... then BWOING-BWOING, rebound like bouncing balls. Purple ones.

What??! I missed that point?
I just remember he sits on a folder chair in the stairs.
Just facing one meters away FL door!
Really, we can't find more next door than this guy in dramaland. 😂

Anyone here who is not a Park Shin Hye fan and can give an relative unbiased feedback if her acting is good in…
She's excellent at comedy. But not believable when she tries to look evil or badass.
Now FL has more emotions, and of course PSH is excellent to do that in subtle way.

The amount of yelling I would deliver to that ex. Bitch, calling his girlfriend embarrassing.
This moment was great... there was endless tension before he speaks.
Then this line, woo! It's kind of rude line we often get in kdramas, with excellent shock value.

am the only one who is hearing that fuzzzy noise when they are not talking, its like they did a pretty bad job…
I didn't notice that noise. As I'm rewatching a part, here what I hear:

On episode 3, ~53:00, it's a clear discussion without music. Sound is clear.

Later, ~55:00, in the field next the forest, there are many sound-effects. Among those ones, we have a fuzzy noise that vanish, while other sounds play, change. It's mastered about the mix.

Later, when she unpacks the memories, the sounds/music are incredible: a dull, dark sound + synth pad + crystal clear tinkling. And it progresses like background music, seeming to fit exactly with the progression of the scene.
