I wouldn't say as far as this, but there is indeed some slowdown.

It's a good example of directing (or production/editing) problem this drama have.
The scene is long and sleepy, mostly plot talking, with many silences.
Cold on emotion as most of the drama.
In background, a thrilling music, but in soft mode, accentuating the sleepy effect.

About nice things now: various details about exploring close future innovations.
Not only the bio-tech, but the use of AI for camera recognition, drone swarm, etc.

Here an example of a cool scene:
FL is in police station, and while the cops wonder who is the culcript, she gets all the information on her special glasses, but hides it to them. Making it a bit comedy (or irony).

This is title of a Philip K. Dick book. A scifi author dedicated to close future stories.
(note, this novel was adapted to cinema in movie "Blade Runner")
What confirms the screenwriter is fan of the genre and probably read books on it.

I'm watching episode 1. I often say I don't like slow pace, and it's very slow.
But it doesn't bother me here. Cinematography and photos are remarquables.
Scenes cut in a smart way, and I'm always curious to know why the drama shows me a scene.
Plus a charismatic main actress. I'm in.

Afff... I'm in a bad time... No drama catch my attention.
I watched a bit "My Name", up to ep 5. With one of my fav actress.
It's good quality but somehow, I'm jaded and realise I could continue to watch or just stop and it makes me nothing....... And it's like that with all the dramas I watch recently. I've a whole list of good dramas put on hold, or maybe dropped, for no clear reason.

So when I see Queen of tears episode 1 and I'm disappointed by the comedy. I feel I won't endure that in a whole drama. Is it this kind of comedy, people screaming, making tons, but nothing really funny behind. It's the tone of the drama. And I'd prefered it remains consistent. I guess for a marital argument drama, I just prefer the World of the Married.

I can't bring myself to end to watch first episode.
And I won't force myself....

Episode 1 start well, but about 30 minutes later it falls into:
Overthetop gimmick not-funny comedy.
Sorry, I can't watch, my brain revolts by itself, not even my choice.

Moving was a popular drama. And as I was disappointed by some parts, I think it's ok it gets the big prize. However, it shouldn't also get the screenplay award.

It looks like this drama is a "all or nothing". Audience had trouble to follow part2 because the high-concept continue to evolve, producing new twists that make sens, but without much explanations, it's difficult to guess how. But we end to understand during a rewatch. As it's so thrilling, it's also very rewatchable. The writer isn't easy, but when watching her previous dramas, we know she's very solid about concept logic and twisting scenes.
