And smart to mention Christopher Nolan. Indeed, writer Song Jae-Jung uses non-linear storytelling in a heavy way, what makes her style quite unique in kdramas. By the way, I have to precise: you mention the editing about use of flashbacks/flashforward, but this isn't editing, it's in the screenplay.

It's a very boring drama after episode 6. But it can please girls with candy eyes about simply watch the cute main couple, even when they are doing nothing (what happens often, lol).

It's not that bad, but it's frustrating. FL is terribly annoying and once I got this idea, the drama was more watchable. She's an indecisive girl and it makes people mad, and first the two guys of the story. Some parts are a bit boring. Her boyfriend is boring, and she has boring dialogues with him. It's like a girl choosing a boring life.
I could watch because I like the actress Kim So Hyun, and she's never been more beautiful than in Love Alarm part 2.

You already watched the best of the drama, so it's ok.

It's a good example of directing (or production/editing) problem this drama have.
The scene is long and sleepy, mostly plot talking, with many silences.
Cold on emotion as most of the drama.
In background, a thrilling music, but in soft mode, accentuating the sleepy effect.

About nice things now: various details about exploring close future innovations.
Not only the bio-tech, but the use of AI for camera recognition, drone swarm, etc.

Here an example of a cool scene:
FL is in police station, and while the cops wonder who is the culcript, she gets all the information on her special glasses, but hides it to them. Making it a bit comedy (or irony).

I'm watching episode 1. I often say I don't like slow pace, and it's very slow.
But it doesn't bother me here. Cinematography and photos are remarquables.
Scenes cut in a smart way, and I'm always curious to know why the drama shows me a scene.
Plus a charismatic main actress. I'm in.

Afff... I'm in a bad time... No drama catch my attention.
I watched a bit "My Name", up to ep 5. With one of my fav actress.
It's good quality but somehow, I'm jaded and realise I could continue to watch or just stop and it makes me nothing....... And it's like that with all the dramas I watch recently. I've a whole list of good dramas put on hold, or maybe dropped, for no clear reason.

So when I see Queen of tears episode 1 and I'm disappointed by the comedy. I feel I won't endure that in a whole drama. Is it this kind of comedy, people screaming, making tons, but nothing really funny behind. It's the tone of the drama. And I'd prefered it remains consistent. I guess for a marital argument drama, I just prefer the World of the Married.

I can't bring myself to end to watch first episode.
And I won't force myself....

I'm enough lucky and could identify the crap from episode 1. Dropped. Feel like I won time.
