My question to the novel readers,What's that deal with the 22 lovers?Did she really had 22 lovers or did she just…
My thoughts too, so I'm thinking since its true she has 22 past lovers in the past 400 years, thats about an average of one lover every 18 years, give or take. lol
Since she never had any senses (especially sense of touch), I assume she did not have intimate relations with those men, but then again I'm not so sure because its really all up to her on whether she wants to let any man get intimate with her or not even if she can't feel.
I'd like to think that she will have her first sexual relationship with Duan Xu though 🤭
Just curious, can anyone spoiled me on whether He Simu will ever get all her 5 senses like permanently or maybe share the same senses with Duan Xu in the future?
The way the story unfolds at the beginning has such a dull, underwhelming vibe. I think it might be intentional since deaths and spirits is the ongoing theme, not to mention, FL is someone without the five senses? I thought the jellyfish sfx was a bit odd though.
For a drama I anticipated for the last 3 years, disappointedly it did not hook me right on the first and second episode, but I did feel a gradual pull to watch the main leads continued interaction with each other. Arthur Chen or ML's smiles really light up the atmosphere. I dont know, maybe they want the audience to experience a bland world slowly being engulf with colors and life
Chang Yu is definitely not the typical smart FL we often see. She may have her flaws like not being able to read and write properly nor is she the brainy, studious type but what I love about CY is that shes simple-minded, straightforward, brave and never fret with the hard work or small details. She exudes true wisdom and strength whenever the occasion arises. She is such an adorable character that you can't help but love.
Not gonna lie, been anticipating this drama because of the plot and even more so now for TXW after Pursuit of Jade but boy, HYT sure is getting grilled here as ML. I'm gonna hold any comment/judgement on him until after I actually watch them on screen though.
Just want to point out at the beginning of episode 27, scene start with them, horse galloping across the shallow river was a nice touch, displaying the natural landscape and really nice cinematography, setting the mood for the next arc of the story/romance. Its the type of shot I often see they do in Outlander so very well done. 👍👍
Another wonderful episode today allowing us to see a fresh new perspective to XZ and CY relationship. XZ formally reintroducing himself and proposing to CY, then after learning now she is accepted under the same master as him (being his disciple junior sister), the sparring by the lake, and XZ heartfelt words🥰... I really like how this drama paces itself and we can literally feel how they are maturing especially CY. Nothing feel draggy
Srsly XZ so whipped for CY. He got all mesmerized staring at her so he looks away for a few seconds to breathe, calm himself, then turn back, glance at her and got hook all over again. XDDD🥰🥰
OMG, I'm addicted hard with this drama. Every shot and angle, every romantic encounters (even the toxic one with big baddies) to the fight scenes. Costumes, hairstyle, cinematography to OSTs. Story and characters struck you at the right chord. Why do I feel its so perfect? This is no longer a drama, its art.
It really does give me that Where Winds Meet vibe too. Looking forward to every episode because none of episode has been boring thus far.
I said this before that first 6 episodes was awkward and uncomfortable for me because FL often put herself in these really embarrassing situations and ML cold attitude/rejections surely did not help. I was on the verge of dropping this drama.
BUT after episode 7 onward, we start to see a completely different side to the FL (and this particular side really breaks the ice lol), thats when they explain more about the FL's childhood trauma. It got interesting from there as ML (and us audience) finally understands her inner struggle and this barrier between them started coming down. Everything she did after that, including all her clumsy and awkward behavior naturally somehow became adorable. I wish they had done this earlier on in the drama.
Though I guess at the end of the day, maybe this drama is trying to teach us that what we don't understand always seem awkward at first but if we take the time and courage to learn, it might not be so bad as we initially assumed. This applies to anything in life.
I dont know, im getting second-hand embarrassed so many times for the FL here. Kinda awkward that she got rejected and busted so many times yet still seek ML out. I'm slowly trying to finish this drama, but its not very swoon worthy. Fukushi Sota is cute though.
I really hope by the end of this drama, FL becomes mentally stronger and break free from her psychological issues.
