Its even harder to get over this drama when nothing good is airing at the moment, C-dramaland is so barren right now... Although I am looking forward to Cheng-Yi's wuxia drama coming out in a few days but alas its not romance...
Its actually a torrent site for anything Asian dramas and movies including all the really old dramas you can hardly find anywhere else anymore. I've been a long time member way before it became private but I believe nowadays you register for an acc thru discord
Rewatching this drama in 4k version I downloaded got me swooning all over again because everything so crystal clear and vibrant, especially the intimate scenes and LTY/SMJ pretty faces💕
The ending is the typical ending for time travel drama, where they return to modern world and meet again which can feel a bit repetitive at this point. A Dream Within a Dream does better at giving us that refreshing ending piece, but in terms of intimacy and romance, this drama delivers a very addicting, satisfying yet leave you yearning for more type of chemistry that's hard to get over. It no doubt my top xianxia romance of 2025 aside from ADWAD, given if nothing of better quality comes out by the end of next quarter
but he is in a mortal body now, i doubt it if his mortal will be able to withstand the power of petal, it is just…
Technically, her Spirit Fire was fused with his blood and soul, so I thought its a possibility there would not be any backlash if she just give it back to him.
NianJiu said since reincarnated SMJ is still too young (with no cultivation) to regain his memories, I wonder if LTY will give him a flower petal from the Spirit Fire within her?
You can watch this drama, but if you’re into dynamic romance, it’s probably not for you. The FL is super laid-back,…
You are so right. While I love both FL and ML, my only hope for LTY right now is please do not f**k up and take off that heart bracelet, potentially putting both her and especially SMJ in mortal danger.
Damn, Ep. 22 really struck hard on so many levels and to SJ especially. Seeing the woman he loves deeply suffers because of his actions. I think he finally truly understands kindhearted TY's pain of being forced to kill people, and although it was SQL who forced her, SJ also feels super guilty for forcing her to do the same thing before, of course we all know who did it out of concern for her safety and who did it out of pure selfishness and psychopathic schemes. In modern terms, TY is literally a victim who got kidnapped, brainwashed, trained and force to commit murder and even developed Stockholm syndrome with her captive. Its really crazy that a Xianxia would explore this area.
I’m so disgusted that she had to call that thing father for 18years 🤢🤮
Yeah it'll be something if she can actually soften the old cockroach's heart and maybe somehow make him remorseful for all the terrible things he'd done, but he seems incorrigible to me
i did not expect this to be so heavy! watching ep.12 i felt physically ill
Same I feel so disgusted that not only they fed on the flesh and blood of the Fengshan clan but also enslaving them, forcing them to breed with their own kind, not to mention child abuse... its utterly inhumane.
I know China trying to be subtle about these subjects on screen but doesn't really change how dark and heavy it is
Actually, TVB had a series about this backstory. So it was done before.
I remember there was one adaptation where they show Mei Chao Feng actually fell in love with her Master, Huang Yao Shi (he had some feelings for her as well despite having a wife...) instead of Xuan Feng in the backstory (basically she just used XF to get the manual). Forgot which version but man, I thought that was the most ridiculous thing ever that totally ruined it for me.
I guess never told was not the right word. I meant this one here by far is the most refreshing and tragic.
I like this adaptation with a whole new in-depth retelling of the never told backstory about Mei Chao Feng and Mei Xuan Feng and all of Hua Island. MZY and HY got that unique chemistry together for being the good and bad couple.
Its pretty cool that they will retell these from perspective of each of the great martial master so it comes in 5 parts and we are only on the second. The only thing that kinda takes me away from the first part of the story is Guo Jin and no offense to the actor but I wish they had pick someone younger to played his role. You can totally see the age gap between him and Huang Rong.
Whats most ridiculous to me is Junior mom pretty much holds all the secrets and doesnt anyone to know but its always her who spill it by accident by blabbing it in the open for other people to overhear
Maybe its just me but I think it would be more satisfying to see fake emperor Yan Han live, get sentenced and pay for his crimes. All or most the criminals in this drama got away too easy by death.
Something sus about empress dowager face when grand aunt mentions prince Yu have twins boy and girl... the emperor mustve had a twin brother or something
