Yes, I agreed he also underestimate humans too much, always looking down on them from a pedestal and refuse to acknowledge their potential or the damage they can cause (which seem like a sentiment share by most immortals in this drama). Not to mention, the ancient mortal world has it good and evil and can be pretty unforgiving towards women, and he left her alone completely powerless. He'd be lucky if she didn't get sexually assaulted or worse. Anything can be psychologically traumatizing

I rewatch that ep 15 scene where BJS took away HRY's power and I'm thinking how can he expect her to start over with him after that??? He made it seem like their relationship was purely transactional, like he basically said "We agreed to go through this love trial together, but since you messed up, I'm gonna abandon you. After all, I only care about the results." Imagine someone you love saying all that to you, would you trust them ever again?

Now he may be trying to help her by taking on her punishment silently but by saying he's gonna take away her powers so she can be mortal to teach her a lesson since he has nothing to do with the trouble she caused, he really severed their relationship right then and there. Its not like hes incapable of showing his love for her, he treated her so gently before, so why did he need to very coldly go this far. Now she believes every sweet words he ever said to her are all an act (thus her revenge plots always involve her acting like shes still in love with him) Very very wrong move on his part, as it has ignited the tragedies and feud they have with each other thereafter.

I'm very much on HRY's side on this one. From her perspective, her revenge on him is totally justified.

There is definitely more to HRY's hatred and the big reveal will happen later. You can say what BJS will experience in the mortal world now is just the tip of the iceberg. Well you really wouldn't want to sit down and talk to someone whom you lost trust, hated and deem an enemy. The only reason they can right now is because their fight ended in a draw with no one able to gain any advantage over the other while both stuck and still needs to recover their powers. BJS at first thought HRY just getting back at him for sealing her power, but started to sense something more to her deep rooted hatred by the length she was willing to go to in order to kill him. In trying to understand why, he confronted her altho I think HRY is just trying to trap him long enough so can she strike hence the somewhat honest discussion finally happen between the two.

You know a drama is good when they start going deep on the philosophical discussions.

If you compare it to Love Like the Galaxy, which is likely set in the same era with similar-style costumes, it does seem to be a little lower in budget, however it's not that noticeable. I think it's decent quality that's still pleasing to the eye and does not impact the story or characters at all.

I didn't read the novel but the preview of next episodes suggests his mother want him to take in his cousin as a concubine. The typical plot would be they drug him so he can sleep with cousin but fail leading to such a scene 🤤

I remember later on DF YueChu in Red Moon Pact also misunderstood WQ HY thinking he had force DF HZ into marriage in order to produce an invincible soldier son, but that was far from the truth. Wish older HY had explained himself more that it was HZ's idea. Its obvious though that although she married him as a concubine but he had never married anyone else as wife which proves HZ is the only woman he love. WQ FuGui would probably misunderstand him too in later sequel, so I hope the truth comes to light and he don't hate his old man too much. HY's life is one big tragedy.

This was a tragedy that we all knew would happen if you had watched Red Moon Pact, but the way they executed it is heartwrenchingly beautiful. Can't stop my tears 😭😭

He should still put her down gently and not jump to conclusion, accusing her and rejecting her the way he did (from what I gather, Lu Chang in the novel handle it better so fault lies in the drama scriptwriter I guess). Did he think she would have such a huge personality change in two years? Nobody said they still have to get married after clearing the misunderstandings, putting it off/delaying it was another option but he was so hellbent on cancelling the marriage completely as well as cutting all ties with her, leaving no way out for himself, believing only what he wanted to believe at the time. lol he dug the hole himself.

I've discussed about this in some post awhile back but they grew up together, yet he never took heart to anything she does for him and believe she was a spoiled rich lady instead of getting to know the real her. He didnt want to be seen as climbing the rank thru marriage because of his ego. He was also quick to judge that she was involve when her father drugged him. If he had tried to know the real her, I doubt he would believe at all that she would do something like that. His master's matter is also not an excuse besides aside from trying to bribe him, her father hinted that he had important evidence regarding the case which was the thing he wanted the most. Yet he was resolute in his rejection saying he will never regret it no matter what. He simply never bother to care about her before. Well now he regrets it, he should suffer more heartaches in return.

For me, if a friend or someone I have known or loved since I was a child believe that I'm the kind of person who would drugged and force or bully someone into submission when I know I did not... that would really hurt and disappoint me like next level sad. Its frustrating and disheartening to be judge and label like that by someone close to you just because of some circumstances outside of your control. If I were her, I would give up pursuing that kind of man too whether he helped me or not. Staying friends would be the most I can do.

That may be the case but its partly due to her coming to a realization that the person she has past feelings for is Lu Chang when she doesn't actually remember what happen between them. I'm just saying at the very least she should not rush to be with Lu Chang until she recovers her memory.

On the other hand, I really don't like Lu Chang character despite all the things writer did to try to redeem his character, so I rather she ends up with no one than with Lu Chang.

Nah still not enough, Lu Chang should suffer more, get cold-shouldered and rejected by her as well. Saving her and being inconsiderate towards her feelings because he was narrow-minded are two different matters. Just because he protected her, doesn't mean she should easily run back into his arms after he so harshly rejected her and cut all ties with her on their wedding night.

sigh~ Ming Shu should not be so hasty in her decisions to reject Qing Zhao and liking Lu Chang when she hasn't fully regained her memory. How annoying Lu Chang still keeping the fact that he already rejected her and cancelled their marriage from her. Episode 31 and still no clue. They really dragging this amnesia thing out.

First episode in and I'm like why are most Heavenly Emperor fathers always so mean and this one is even more ridiculously unreasonable. It so sad that he doesn't even let his son likes a flower, no human form yet, just a plant and still a big fat "No, I'm gonna destroy it so you won't show kindness anymore".
