I’ve never been so thrilled watch someone take a bite out of chicken salad. These series has its problems, but it has been a very nice way for me to start my Sunday for the past two months.

For Mom’s BD, I’ll pitch in to buy her a step stool for the kitchen. And a nice canister set. Look, if they’re going to store flour in uncovered mixing bowls on the top shelf in the pantry, a little organizational help might be appreciated.

Well, Darryl Rodriquez plays his boyfriend, so there’s a good chance for a surprise plot twist involving a mass murder at the birthday party.

I’ll date Meen, since Duean doesn’t seem to be interested and is othwise always busy pooping. I could use an enthusiastic ingenue in my life. Or whatever the male equivalent of an ingenue is. Cute puppy.

Neither brother is boyfriend material yet. More interested in why Mork is putting up with Pi. Probably saw him once playing with a kitten or staring at a Scrubb poster and fell in love. Dude has it bad for Pi. Snap out of it!

Ep 11:
Tri isn’t a bad date. I’m glad that Chol is moving on from Kaow. Man, I hope Nick finally tells off Prab.

I know it’s an excuse to get them closer, but the reaction to the blackout was a bit over the top. If you panic every time there’s a blackout in Bangkok, you’re going to be stressed out beyond repair.

You’d think that with the number of kids forced to be doctors, Thailand would be the healthiest country on Earth. But really it means there’s an abundance of dermatologists convincing 20 year old actors that they need Botox. How much younger does he actually want to look? 12? 8?

I don’t think they’ll cross the line with the teacher. I think Maping would be willing to. I’m glad someone passed a warning to Chol to warn Maping about the consequences. I was relieved to find out that there were consequences for the teacher/student snuggle incident from ep. 2. I was a little concerned that the social milieu the series wanted to present was one where teacher/student relationships weren’t illegal or even frowned upon.

I’m enjoying it. Given that Ki Wan had all of a day to learn how to pass as a woman, it’s not surprising that he really wouldn’t be fooling anyone who didn’t have an interest in maintaining the pretense of a successful marriage. Lee Se Jin is basically playing himself in a dress and that’s enough for me. I’m glad they did it that way as opposed to milking some laughs from exaggerated affectations as if the character is a modern drag performer. If he’s too convincing in the ruse, I think we’d lose a lot of the humor as well. He’s always in the verge of being found out and is in way over his head. And hopefully it’ll get even more complicated, soon.

It would have been nice this episode to flash back to Mhok and Gene’s convo about Aey that they cut away from 2 episodes ago. And yeah, that “tick” where Nubsib just freezes when Gene gets mildly mad is annoying.

Hoping they avert what’s going to happen with the “magic sex pills that work as the writer needs them to work” next episode.

Bas' story is the one that has more weight for me, TBH, as I couldn't care less about the "shipping" issue. It would have been helpful to have the bad executive explain what those investments were in and how being in a ship pays off financially for the investors. I'm not a shipper and I can't stand it, so none of these revelations carry much impact, probably. But its technically a marketing problem and not necessarily an ethical or moral one. Is BL worse than KPop in the control it takes over its charges and the types of contracts it makes them sigh? I'm not sure it is.

Yeah. You always have to remember that Jeno has red hair. The problem with their characters is that they not only look alike, but they are pretty much interchangeable personality-wise and both of them were beaten up by Arthur.

Nah. I can understand why he wouldn't recognize him, especially since he was using a different last name and was going by a different nickname to boot. Plus he was going out of his way to be deceptive. I mean, in my life, I actually lived in the same building as a former classmate of mine, 600 miles from my hometown, rode up and down the elevator with him many times, and it wasn't until Facebook decided to recommend him as a friend that I recalled the connection.

To me, the implausible part is that he is in contact with his mom, and she is aware of his novel and researching BL for an article she is writing and didn't come across Sib and make the connection that he was cast in Gene's series. But whatever, at least its over now and we can go back to finding out whether Bad Engineer will be a successful series, whether Gene can complete Lovely Writer and be proud of it, and what awful stuff they'll have Aey do that will make us hate the poor dude even more than most of us already do.

Well, I haven’t commented on that one. The maturation voyeurism I’ll give somewhat of a pass given that Muren was out of his mind, having been dosed with “fictional date rape drugs that behave exactly like the author intended them to work with only those side effects necessary to the plot, no more no less”. And no, I’m not interested in anyone doing research to tell me how those drugs work. We’ll just have to take their word for it that Muren would have been a danger to himself if he weren’t being supervised.

I’ve never really liked LS either. He’s dumb rocks and I don’t see the panache that others are seeing. I ship neither couple. Thanks to following YJ’s advice, he’s now dug a hole for himself. (Note to LS: that guy who until 15 minutes ago wanted to split you guys from XS so he could have him to himself might not be the best person to ask for advice, ). I have to wait until next week to comment more, because I need to find out what Muren does in response to this.

Yep. Those diaries weren’t being produced for XS’s eyes, but for daddies, imho.

Yong Si still needs to demonstrate that he’s capable of being reliably decent to Xing Si, which means dealing with disappointments. I’m hoping that XS’s first kiss boyfriend comes back into his life and Yong Si can handle it without murdering the guy. Although I also wouldn’t be surprised if he can’t do that. But 6 hours spent with Xing Si’s friends without trying to hurt Muren does not a convincingly reformed brat make. Any child can act nice two days before Christmas.

And I’ll just say again, I have no idea how Muse Weddings stays afloat. Walking away from a big account for personal office romance reasons? Letting your direct reports forego bonuses without a second thought? Morale at this joint would be rather low IRL. I’m surprised they make enough money to keep the lights on.

Yeah. MR and XS can finally have that convo about his situation without LS getting in the way, I’m better with it now that XS has uttered the “forgiveness” word and gave his reasons. It was beginning to look like the writers were going to just smush them together without giving XS a chance to speak up for himself. That said, he was this close with the toy analogy to figuring out why this relationship isn’t going to work without him being stuffed in a box on a shelf. Alas, he read the diaries and now seems o.k. With being a toy again.

You know, they’ve tried explaining 3 times what this misunderstanding was about, and it still seems like the timing is off. I thought Shi De met the father after he got back from the states and that Shu Yi’s father deleted the emails then. Still, I can’t help thinking this is the kind of issue that would make more sense in 1910 more than 2010. And not mentioning your mom’s sudden medical condition because? She Di thought Shu Yi would care too much?

Maybe when mom went into labor on the plane to the states, she caused poor Troy Cornelius to have a heart attack and those were medical bills that he had to pay as a result of a lawsuit. We shall never know.
