They are. However, they fail to make him likable enough that we can't even pity him. He's just pure annoyance.
True. I hate when directors try to promote actors in this way because most of them never have the acting chops to steal the spotlight from the leads and their story. Or liek you said the write the character in such a way that does not make you want to empathize with them

I can't help the feeling that i'll be left feeling a bit disappointed (because of the characters I'm rooting for and also I'm 100% sure it will be rushed) but I really have to see this one through. this came out at an unfortunate time when the 40-ep rule came into play, because I'm still of the belief that breaking it up took away alot of the enjoyment
