the ghost scene in ep 6 was hilarious lmaoo..poor szh, he was too classy for that mess. i give him an A for his efforts loll

why are vampires censored tho? because it's fantasy? if there can be gods and demons, why can't there be vampires..

love love the fairytale/gothic vibes. this director is really good at republican fantasy dramas, and this being a vampire drama (gwg being perfectly cast!) is the icing on top

looking forward to this one. cheng yi always delivers and li yitong is still way way too underrated with how talented she is :'(. i wonder if this will be her break out

I was sooo disappointed by that. Censorship or not, it's a very lazy device that alot of dramas use, and I didn't expect a drama that started as strong as this one, to use such a cheap device

I had a strong feeling it was an editing thing. I still haven't finished the novel (don't have much appetite to finish it tbh) but even then I could feel like there were things that were cut out

I'm far from finishing the novel so I wanna know, was that part not supposed to be a dream. Do you know the possible reason TH would change it to that? I was very upset about it too bc the dram thing and memory loss devices are my mosted hated things that are used in dramas

All I can say is Zhang Wanyi is the mvp for this season (or the latter half). I watched season 1 primarily for yangzi, but I left the both seasons with a newfound admiration for both tjc and zwy. They played their roles above and beyond..they really did justice to their characters. Like some other people said, alot of S2 felt underwhelming and it only picked up towards the end. The scenes with zwy and yz were the saving grace of s2, and it more than made up for the mor underwhelming parts. XL started to feel somewhat disconnected from the story compared to s2 for me? maybe cuz i was biased but i feel like we barely saw him compared to s1. However ZWY's absolutely stellar performance of cang xuan in the later half made me miss XL's absence a bit less. I'd give all 62 eps a solid 7.5

I agree. He definitely saved this season for me

zhang wanyi and yang zi's scenes together in the last few eps have been electrifying. i would kill for them to do something together again

i definitely think the sml would not have anooyed so many peaople if it was played by a better actor

every new poster has been absolutely gorgeous
